This Cub is decent for the most part. You can always smell the chicken from the deli when you walk in. I can almost always find whatever I'm looking for. Like most grocery store, it's usually busier around holidays or towards the weekend but otherwise it's chill. I will say my only issue is the frozen food/coolers in general. Always check your food packages. There's a ton of freezer burned packages, from the power going out or the freezers not working properly. Definitely don't want to eat bad food. I don't usually have a lot of interactions with staff as I generally opt for self checkout but there's always a lot of them in the checkout area. I did notice a sign saying they are out of baskets (like to shop w/) not sure what happened with that. They've also added claw machines, so if you have any money leftover after groceries there's that. read more

This is my go to store for whatever whenever I need. Today I stopped by after work to get gas and a few things in the store. I gathered things that I needed then got to self check-out line, comes a middle age white woman with a cart full of stuffs, she was seriously saying she was in line before me, I was shocked to see such a human existing on earth. At the same time there were 4 people in front of me but no one said a word though people are embarrassed by it. I told her go ahead and God bless you. People looked at me like "are you f..ing serious". I didn't want to argue with her. And, the next thing was she saw a woman with one item in line waiting behind me and two other person. She spoke to me that she will let that woman in front of her without asking anyone else. The woman said it's OK but then she went anyway. Do I have to say that I was the only Asian on the line to be treated by this sick person.. it sure seem that way! I hope she doesn't run into a wrong person someday. read more

I usually forget about this Cub, though it's closer to me then the one on Broadway, but since I live in North Mpls and I'm usually coming from South Mpls or dtwn, this one seems out of my way. Visiting a friend, on my way home, I was driving by thinking if i needed anything from Cub and instantly started salivating over thoughts of the Grilled Chicken from the deli. Like any respectable foodie, I made a quick turn into the parking lot and parked nearest the door. Inside, I was greeted by a sweet older lady who started telling me all about the specials they have on chicken on how to save my money. I was even expressed my concern about the grilled chicken only being a "summer" chicken and wondered if we would be going back to the baked chicken in the fall. She ceased my worries and told me that it was here to stay. I encouraged another patron to try the grilled chicken and shared a story of my introducing it to my girlfriends. She said she would take me up on my suggestion. This store is always out of the things I am looking for. They never have the Friday Freebies offered on the Cub app, their produce is never filled & I feel like more often than not, I'm leaving without all of the items I intended to purchase. They're convenient because they're not too far away from my digs, but I rather go out of my way to get all I need at once. Also, the self check out lanes are frequently not all working (some are set as credit only or no cash back, or their malfunctioning during check out) so I try avoid them & use a cashier. read more

What is up with this Cub?! They have the same stuff in different areas ... For example, I walked pass the Stonebridge ice cream and a bit further down the aisle, I encountered ... you guessed it, Stonebridge ice cream. Another downside is that other than the advertised savings it seemed like the food cost more than at other Cubs. I thought about why the prices are different and have decided that their food probably subsidizes their gas. I have never seen a Cub store with its own gas pump before! Their gas rate was about 10 cents cheaper than the cheapest gas station that I've seen. Plus, if you shop at the Cub, you get a gas discount coupon. The coupon is a percentage of whatever you spend so if you spend $50, you get 5 cents off per gallon. Spend 100, you get 10 cents off per gallon, etc., for up to 15 gallons. It's a great deal for gas! Even though I wouldn't come back here to do my major grocery shopping, I might come back here for their ethnic foods selection. They have the largest ethnic aisles out of all the Cubs I've been to. They even have those big huge bags of rice that I've only ever seen at the Asian stores. They even have a huge 20-lb bag of BROWN rice! I haven't been able to find huge, bulk bags of brown rice anywhere else. I would give this place 2.5 stars, but decided to bump it up to 3 because I'm so happy about finding the bulk brown rice. read more

There are five places I shop for the stuff I need every day. One of those places is a warehouse club. Cub is at the top of the list for two reasons. I am practically guaranteed the items I am looking for is on their shelves. If I can't consolidate a trip to include any of the four other places it's my "go to" store. Location, location, location! I stopped on the way home from work to just grab five things. One item was the Friday feeebie. After looking throughly I asked a young man stocking the pop. He was polite but said he had no idea and to go ask customer service. I went up and one checker Mimi was at end of counter she had no idea but took my phone with picture of it and asked the three ladies supervising self check out and they said go to refund counter and ask the young man there. He had no idea but did pick up phone and called the manager. A Male voice answered and without realizing phone was on speaker said I have no idea what it even is this week just tell them to keep looking. Now young man was embarrassed but told maybe ask in produce since it had fruit in it. Walked over to produce and man there was nice but had no idea either. Told me to maybe check in cooler by breakfast yogurt. Went to that aisle and was another young man and no he had no idea either. I said can you please call the store manager to this aisle. Well he went and got his deli female manager RACHEL and when I showed her picture on phone she said let me check with someone. Two seconds later she took me to the aisle that held pasta sauce and it was on end behind the hydraulic loader left in aisle. She was very nice and apologized for it being in wrong place. After thanking her I then went to check out with MIMI and also thanked her for trying to help me. As for the male manager he needs FIRED for laziness. Get off work 4-5pm. No butchers on duty after 2pm to cut a chunk of meat. No one in meat dept. New very cool younger stocky manager just so happened to walk through meat dept seeing us confused calls for the person in meat dept to come out. Just to be told he can't touch touch the saw and we walked away from him. Older manager in Cub is a douche. I have hated him for sooo many reasons. He acts as if I don't exist.
