This Cub is absolutely superior to others in the area!! Now, I've mainly done their pick-up service so my review only pertains to that overall process. The personal shoppers at this location are outstanding. They not only message when they start shopping your order, but also when something is out, what substitutions are best, when your order is ready to pick up, and when they are coming out to your car. Other locations I've been to miss all of these steps and I just get an email when my order is complete. The order process online is super simple and if you order several hours ahead you will be able to get a pick up slot no problem. Just arrived at 11:15pm to get some late groceries and they're closed...although they market 24hrs.

I stopped in there today specifically to purchase the 7-UP, etc., pop they had on sale. You have to buy 4 to get the deal with Cub Rewards. I found the 3 6-packs of 7-UP I wanted, but they didn't have A & W to complete my fourth. I went to the Customer service desk for help. Although he wore a Cub employee shirt, he said he didn't work at that station and couldn't help me. This short guy with a man-bun had an extremely poor attitude and didn't even offer to call someone else over. He told me to go to the self checkout. Well, there wasn't anyone there. I waited a while and no one showed up. I had to get the attention of another cashier. He called someone but they were unhelpful, too. If the first guy hadn't been so gruff with me I might have been more patient. I gave up and just bought 4 7-UPs. As I was leaving, a woman showed up and asked if I had a question! This is a poorly run store with obviously not enough staff. I will never go there again. read more

I've been to Cubs all over the Metro, and shockingly, this is consistently the worst Cub there is. You'd think Chanhassen of all places would have a pretty nice Cub, but you'd be wrong. It's the worst. It's remarkably refreshing whenever I make the trek out to a different Cub to see how nice they can be. Small store, the same 10 employees, doing the same things every day with the same stock, and the same lack of quality control. Produce is spotty at best, if you don't check it like a hawk, it won't just be iffy, it will be fully rotten. The meat, I don't even bother. "Manager's Special" doesn't mean expiring soon, it means it expired last week. The Deli, they must make sandwiches and hold them in the back for 36 hours because I've never seen one that wasn't at least 36 hours old (And spoiler alert, they only really keep for 18 hours) The Bakery is fine but the selection is ALWAYS the same now.. They haven't even bothered to make pies for months. It's like the management team or owner can't be bothered. They must just cash checks with no oversight because nothing ever changes at this place. The one thing that not surprisingly does change? The prices skyrocketing. And I don't just mean the packaged goods that have been inflated beyond believe everywhere in the state, I mean their Deli and Bakery prices now rival Lunds and Byerly's.. Which I don't have to tell anyone is beyond laughable. Cub is a great store.. Chanhassen Cub is a train wreck. Get it together. Let's get some variety going so I don't feel like I'm in Groundhog Day going to this place once a week. Bottom line - If you're shopping for popular box goods that are available anywhere, this cub is as good as any. But if you're going for their Deli, Bakery or Produce, be prepared to be horribly disappointed far more often than should be possible. I actually saw a moldy block of pre-packaged Crystal Farm's Pepper Jack cheese front and center at this place. I had NEVER seen anything like that in my life, but leave it to Chan Cub to make you have to start checking standard boxed/packaged goods. Literally NO quality control at this place and the employees are too often very comfortable with being overly familiar and unprofessional which is a huge indicator of no managerial or ownership oversight. I'm not a Karen who needs to be placed on a pedestal, but this is a standard business transaction, not a poker game. Leave your personal comments and snark at the punch-in clock. read more

Great bakery and butchery. Some of the breads , this is the only place I can get it (bolillo for example). Stock can be suspect sometimes, but that is to be expected with supply chain issues. read more

It was a quick stop at this grocery store near Chaska, MN to pick up dessert. The parking lot was pretty crowded and the store entrance was not very clean upon entering. The bakery section also was heavily traveled, things and items displaced without any employee cleaning or stocking this afternoon. The frozen desserts had some variety, prices were reasonably priced with frozen cakes. The checkout section had more self checkout stations than other grocery stores and you were expected to bag your own groceries regardless of the line you were in. Their popcorn and prime rib is wonderful. All the cashiers are nice, but one cashier in particular, Harley, is the snazziest person. You could go there feeling depressed about something , and Harley will manage to cheer you up, so she's my favorite cashier. : ) Like I said though, all the cashiers are dandy : ) oh, and the bakeries? The Danish in me loses control and I wind up buying multiple sweet things to eat of course. Not to mention, the butcher people in the back are super nice...they have this cheesecake fluff there that is super yummy too. Prime rib is back there too, and tis also a very decent price. In my experience, has out of date stuff on the shelves way too often to shop here regularly. Just today bought a green juice that is a couple weeks expired, didn't notice until I got home. Looked at others I wanted to get but they were also expired. Not the only time or item with which this has happened. read more

This Cub foods is ok, but not outstanding compared to other Cub's I have been in locally. Their selection is more limited than Chaska or Eden Prairie, though the store is relatively clean, it could use some extra polish considering the community it is located in. I have made requests of the manager to carry some items available at the other local Cub's, but never seem to get anywhere with those requests (simple items like specific teas I purchase in bulk from Amazon, but would prefer to purchase locally). I have purchased lobster tails from this Cub's, and the family got ill from it (being the only thing eaten.) They did contact me about it, but I never did hear anything further than the few questions they asked me about the purchase. Overall, it is a good store, and we shop there often. Just nothing to write home about. read more
