I had a great experience at Cub! We were buying donuts for a party, and the employee helping us was incredibly kind and friendly. When we told him the donuts were for a party, he seemed genuinely excited for us and was smiling the whole time. His positive attitude made the trip so much more enjoyable and honestly brightened our day. It's always nice when employees treat customers with kindness and enthusiasm instead of just rushing through the interaction. A classic grocery store. I appreciate the option of a smaller two-tier cart. Where Cub food's shine is the items in the circulars. If you are looking to keep your total grocery bill down getting all your items here won't do it. I think they make up for the discounts they give by having every other item a dollar more. When getting 15+ items it makes a difference. I say stick to the major discounts and go elsewhere for the rest. They have a good selection of items. They have some items like fresh pasta I can't find at any other grocery store in Chaska. They usually are the first ones to have my cinnamon ice cream in stock around the Thanksgiving Holiday time. They typically have a self-serve register out but there is not usually a line. When using the cashier for check out they are always friendly and speedy. I typically gravitate towards the self check out because I am only grabbing a couple of items. read more

I'll be very clear and upfront. I didn't grow up in the Chanhassen/Chaska area, but I had friends who did, and they seemed to have a rivalry where Chan was the Boozhy rich kids and Chaska were the hillbilly townies, and since I had recently moved to Chanhassen, I ironically picked a side and would give them a hard time to the point where it just became second nature to run down Shakopee/Chaska as the black sheep goober cousin of the "Elite/Pristine/Nice" rich Chanhassen area. That said... The Chaska cub is roughly 19 times better, nicer, and more efficiently run than the Chanhassen Cub. The Chanhassen Cub is an embarrassment. Thank you Chaska for at least having one decent alternative. read more

This all started a month ago with their "New at Cub" section of their weekly ad. With all the fanfare of the change to Dietz & Watson in your Deli department, I was disappointed to find out that "What's new at Cub" was not available at the Chaska location. Specifically I was looking for the Dietz & Watson Braunschweiger Liverwurst and the Beef Bologna. When I asked at the service desk I was told that maybe it is sold at a Corporate store. The reason that I shop Jerry's Cub in Chaska is because of the selection you offer. I don't understand why you don't have the items that are in your weekly ad. Please let me know if you intend to offer these items in you Chaska deli or if I need to take my annual $5200.00 food expenditures to another food store. Very disappointing, don't believe what you see in their ads. If they don't want to carry what is in the weekly Cub ad the maybe they should take the sign off the building and change all of the rest of the in-store to "Jerry's"! read more

I'm in Cub foods deli section and wanted a pound and a half shredded chicken, these young man points to the shelf where there's only one pack left and and it's less than a pound. I'm trying to get him to get me the amount I want and he completely ignores me and starts serving all the white customers ignoring me. I approached the store manager to explain what happened and instead of listening to me, he's talking over me telling me to go look where I already looked and there's nothing left. When I insisted he listens to me is when he went and asked them to get me what I wanted. The Racism is everywhere! read more

I like Cub Foods when I want groceries as opposed to shopping at Target where they don't carry the big variety. I love their wheat berry bread. Since the remodel, the store is clean and organized. Good selection of groceries. Love the bakery. I have been using Instacart at this cub and it is great. Especially when ordering cases of water and other big items. It comes quick. It is well packaged and the selection is good. read more

I needed to transfer a prescription to this pharmacy after an insurance change. Jenna, the pharmacist, is FABULOUS! She was friendly, extremely helpful, and took extra time to figure out options when my insurance initially wouldn't cover the medication. In the span of just a couple hours, she worked with my doctor and my insurance and found a solution. My prescription was ready before my the time my old pharmacy had even quoted me for a refill pickup. I can't speak to the whole store - I don't usually shop here - but I definitely recommend this pharmacy! read more

This Cub has a real problem with staffing and a lack of selection of healthy items. I'm not a huge fan of Cub in general, but this location is particular underwhelming. The organic produce, meat, and product selection are so small whereas this place explodes with unhealthy bakery items. The ready-made items are plain and mostly unhealthy items. This place is frequently understaffed on the weekend and occasionally on weeknights too. Sometimes it's difficult to even get to the U-scan. The worst part is that I've had an issue at the U-scan and several times had to wait 10+ minutes for someone to come over and resolve the issue so that I can leave. I wish they offered more organic items and health foods. This location is convenient and a cheaper option than Target, Lunds, or Kowalski, but I definitely prefer the Aldi around the corner to this Cub. read more

I bought a roast last week, and when I opened the package I found that the butcher had hidden a huge slab of fat on the bottom of the roast. Very disappointing the way it was packaged made it a rip off. I had to trim off the fat myself before cooking. Worse, I sent a note through their contact us link including my contact info and nobody has seen fit to contact me. Kind of confirms how the hidden fat made me feel: They don't give a crap about me. read more

I just don't understand how any store can sell so little healthy organic items? Their selection of items is less and less everytime I have the misfortune of shopping there. I think overall the produce at this Cub Foods is better than some of the other Cub foods around this area. The bakery is the best part of this retail establishment. Serving fresh Donuts from when the doors open at the crack of dawn and the employees being very informative and helpful with any of your grocery/shopping needs. Overall a really great Cub Foods retail store outlet. read more

Don't use their delivery service, instacart!! They were supposed to deliver my groceries at 11:00 - 12:00 N. Now they said 2PM. IF THEN. When I called they gave me no help except for stock answers. This is my second bad experience with instacart. No refund, and the person I talked to couldn't have cared less. No more Cub for me. Lots of other stores in town, I don't need that kind of treatment. I'm so impressed with this Cub! Usually a grocery store is no big deal but not so with this particular Cub. I've started going there for lunch. They have excellent hot soup, with at least 4 kinds to choose from. There is a salad bar and hot food bar. There are also packaged sandwiches that are reasonably priced. The bakery is top notch. I used to work as a baker/donut maker, so I know. The yeast raised have been proofed and fried perfectly. There is a nice variety to choose from including fancies. They sell single serving pieces of cake which are as good or better than any fancy bakery. Many flavors to choose from. I have found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Even happy to help. This impressed me. Most other Cub stores are filled with people just working to get through the day. I'm guessing management at this particular store must treat their employees well. Cub has deceptive pricing. Purchasing 12 packs of coke at cub on the isle item indicated 4 packs for $10 if you purchase $25. Proceeded to the register and was charged $3.99 for each 12 pack. Upon bringing up where is the discount I was sent to the customer service place where they showed me the newspaper add which I did not read saying $10 for 4 ( limit 4) and the purchase must not include the coke. I told the customer servic that not what is said on the isle sign and they said they had to go by the newspaper add. Be carful with any isle purchase advertising it is very deceptive. I will be switching to shop at HyVee and Target. read more

But, the fried chicken they sell in their Deli is often way over cooked and dried out ... and the chicken gravy they carry for the mashed potatoes is awful ... tastes burned and not much like chicken! read more

Pricing is good. Good selection. If they do not have something, you can ask the department head to order it. I've done that on 3 items and they now stock them. This used to be a Rainbow and I miss that, as there were many more items to choose from. Across the street is Target and they have higher prices and limited selections. Coopers, is Chaska's "downtown" grocery. It is smaller but I shop there too: support the main town's grocery so their downtown does not die. read more
