Alright this is gonna be a doozy! I'm gonna give you fair warning.. I do not come here for the ambiance, nor do I come here for the customer service and guidance. I come here because I have learned how to get in and out quickly and because I have saved an unbelievable amount buy buying their product. If I was going to rate on customer service or inventory selection alone it would prob be a but the prices really make an impact and I would cry if they closed. TRANSPORTATION OF GOODS My grocery trip starts by bringing in my reusable bag. I choose a large bag that is insolated to keep the temp secure on hot summer days. I have a household of 2 so I do not need a cart. If you want to use a cart keep quarters in your vehicle. You will need a quarter to get your cart released from the cart corral but you will get it back once you return it. I don't like dealing with that I'd rather just carry my groceries and that prevents me from overbuying. PRODUCE The produce is the same grade as target and cub even though it's consistently half the price. Take note of the Aldi savers end caps the items that are in season and discounted even further are showcased there. They typically don't have the largest inventory but they focus on what's in season. You must check everything for freshness but I would do that anywhere. SNACKS Their almonds peanuts walnuts prices are unmatched again consistently half off. They have a few name brands of snacks scattered but their copycat brands are sometimes better than the originals. There are not many choices but it makes choice-making simple and easy. Who needs 18 types of mayo? There is typically 2 choices for everything. CHEESES Besides my string cheese that I'm super picky about this is the only category that I dont find that special. Average prices. MEATS They do have some very healthy options for beef at extremely good prices. DAIRY So many people love their coffee creamers. My favorite spot for my almond milk and eggs. FROZEN Salmon, tilapia, and shrimp are all at incredible prices I feel like I've robbed the place. I cannot find that anywhere else for their prices. I buy the frozen fruit for sure and their frozen pizzas are great and major brands are discounted by half. INVENTORY Do not expect anything you buy to be there every single time. They get what they get and that's it. And if you don't like that stay far far away from the also finds. They almost change out completely every week. You can check the app to see what they have coming soon. CHECKING OUT They go FAST! They have no patience for you. You will feel pressured to keep up without them saying a word. That is normal. I just got as efficiently as I can and I'm not gonna stress about it. They would like you to unload and then put your cart at the end and they would toss the items into the cart. Then your expected to take your cart and bag your items on the counter against the wall. I screw up the whole system because I don't grab the cart but they adjust by finding a cart close by and either as they fill the cart or if I am quick I can throw the bag in the cart and tell them to toss it in. Most the time they do not wait for that and it's fine. But man am I out 3x faster if I can pull that off. I'm pretty sure they are instructed to not put anything in bags because people get particular about their bagging. I'll fix it later if I care. If you can bring a partner to help bag as you pay that's the trick! They used to have some cranky cashiers but as of the last 4+ months they have been gone and are much nicer.

We had ordered a tasting kit which had a large variety of food and drinks to try! We had the Cider Tasting Kit with additional add ons, such as the, Apple Tasting Kit, Heirloom Apple Tasting Kit, Odenthal's Jalapeno and Cheddar Beef Sticks, Shepherd's Way Friesago Cheese, Sweetland Orchard Cider Donuts, Sweatband Orchard Farm Bread Picnic Loaf, and the Vikings and Goddesses Apple Carmel Hand Pie's. Kits are available if you place your order at lease 12 hours in advance. If you do not order a kit, there are items available for purchase as well. You are free to roam to roam the orchard and enjoy all there is to offer. The setting was just the perfect spot for fall, with colored trees around and rolling hills. We brought our kit our to the orchard and had a picnic. We brought a quilt to sit on (there are some picnic tables available, but it is probably wise to bring a quilt to lay down to sit on just in case there are no tables available). Everything was incredibly delicious and I am planning to get back there again soon! It is dog friendly! I love when places allow dogs, it is but probably best to bring your dog only if it will not disrupt other guests or the animals that are on site (chickens, pigs, etc.).

We strolled through the apple orchard down the street from the barn. If you are too lazy to walk, they operate tractors also. You can either buy your apples at the store or choose the pick your own apple bag option. There were Haralsons, Fireside and Honeycrisp apples when I was there. It's so much fun to see those red apples hanging in the trees while enjoying the cool breeze and crisp air. The rolling hills in this area is breath taking. It's really a beautiful part of MN that's worth checking out.

Not only is it an orchard but also a vineyard. I'm not as familiar with Minnesotan wines so I was a little skeptical but honestly I was very impressed by the crisp and woody taste of one of their reds. Not only that but they had a live band playing fun music. They allowed doggos so it was fun to walk around and see the beautiful fall colors with the pooch. Plus it was very family friendly so there were also some cute kids enjoying hay rides! They had what appeared to be a vendor selling unique pizzas but also the best soft pretzels I've ever had in my life with REAL gouda cheese for dipping. Great spot to check out in the fall, great for group gatherings/parties, would come back next year (although may call about pumpkins beforehand).

The noodles have good consistent texture but is overpowered by the butter. The citrus notes and seaweed can't save this dish. Would not order again - Squid ink pasta was the best. A perfected blend of Italian and Japanese culture in one bowl. It consists of a black unique pasta noodle that is easy to eat, strung along with orange clumps of flavor - Mentaiko lumanche pasta was okay, my sister really liked it - The brick-oven Margarita pizza was good, very nice dough texture but the portion could be bigger - Maitake karaage had a good crisp, chewy texture paired with a decent sauce and refreshing seaweed - Gyoza had a neat appearance but nothing special taste-wise, same with the mushroom - I tried their non-alcoholic drinks- Kosho, Royal and Akai Senshi. Both taste good but overpriced for the amount of drink you get. Especially for the Royal, $12 for a small milk tea you is egregious. Even for the Kosho, you get 4 tablespoons worth of juice in a huge wine glass. I'm not a wine lover so I can't really say I enjoyed the Akai drink but if that's part of your palate all I can say is that it tastes like red wine - Service was stellar, they're quick on taking orders and replacing plates/culinary. Staff are all friendly - Interior can be a bit loud and cramped. The narrow hallway design forces the noises of the kitchen and other patrons to condense. The music they play is R&B but the volume could be turned up

It's only $10 + tip for the valet and street parking around here is very stressful and the ramps around here cost just as much if not more. From the time we arrived staff were kind, and our server was very friendly and made us feel welcome. The interior of this restaurant was also gorgeous, simple, refined and minimalist. The menu can be a bit hard to navigate since so many menu options are unique but the server expertly guided us through. We ordered the Maitake Karaage, Duck Tataki, Mentaiko Lumache, chicken thigh yakitori, and a wagyu yakitori. Likes Vs Dislikes: LIKE the Maitake Karaage - this was the best dish of the evening. Fried mushrooms with scallion mayo, gave the texture and flavor of fried calamari but it's actually mushroom. LIKE the Mentaiko Lumache - this pasta was incredible. Perfectly al dente noodles with a unique almost cup shape that gave a nice bite of noodle and sauce together. The sauce was delicious! Dislike the yakitori - felt like there was little to no value here. You pay $7 per skewer which contains barely 3 bites of chicken. It was pretty average tasting too. Wouldn't waste the money. Like and dislike the Duck Tataki - delicious in flavor, nice and fatty, ponzu and mango added a great flavor. Disliked that for $22 you get hardly 4-5 bites of duck. Tiny tiny skinny bites mind you. Felt like the value wasn't there for this fish given how good it actually tasted. I'd look elsewhere on the menu. Overall, given what we liked, the ambience and staff, I am giving this a 5/5. If money isn't a factor then come here and go crazy, but if value matters then stray away from the yakitori and Duck Tataki, just my 2 cents.

This short guy with a man-bun had an extremely poor attitude and didn't even offer to call someone else over. He told me to go to the self checkout. Well, there wasn't anyone there. I waited a while and no one showed up. I had to get the attention of another cashier. He called someone but they were unhelpful, too. If the first guy hadn't been so gruff with me I might have been more patient. I gave up and just bought 4 7-UPs. As I was leaving, a woman showed up and asked if I had a question! It's the worst. It's remarkably refreshing whenever I make the trek out to a different Cub to see how nice they can be. Small store, the same 10 employees, doing the same things every day with the same stock, and the same lack of quality control. Produce is spotty at best, if you don't check it like a hawk, it won't just be iffy, it will be fully rotten. The meat, I don't even bother. "Manager's Special" doesn't mean expiring soon, it means it expired last week. The Deli, they must make sandwiches and hold them in the back for 36 hours because I've never seen one that wasn't at least 36 hours old (And spoiler alert, they only really keep for 18 hours) The Bakery is fine but the selection is ALWAYS the same now.. They haven't even bothered to make pies for months. It's like the management team or owner can't be bothered. They must just cash checks with no oversight because nothing ever changes at this place. The one thing that not surprisingly does change? The prices skyrocketing. And I don't just mean the packaged goods that have been inflated beyond believe everywhere in the state, I mean their Deli and Bakery prices now rival Lunds and Byerly's.. Which I don't have to tell anyone is beyond laughable. Cub is a great store.. Chanhassen Cub is a train wreck. Get it together. Let's get some variety going so I don't feel like I'm in Groundhog Day going to this place once a week. Bottom line - If you're shopping for popular box goods that are available anywhere, this cub is as good as any. But if you're going for their Deli, Bakery or Produce, be prepared to be horribly disappointed far more often than should be possible. I actually saw a moldy block of pre-packaged Crystal Farm's Pepper Jack cheese front and center at this place. I had NEVER seen anything like that in my life, but leave it to Chan Cub to make you have to start checking standard boxed/packaged goods. Literally NO quality control at this place and the employees are too often very comfortable with being overly familiar and unprofessional which is a huge indicator of no managerial or ownership oversight. I'm not a Karen who needs to be placed on a pedestal, but this is a standard business transaction, not a poker game. Leave your personal comments and snark at the punch-in clock.
