My daughter has been going here for about two years now and he is always so courteous and professional. He was very skilled and informative. Crystal Vision has the worst service, nevermind that the place is a dump. My 20-something niece has been trying to get a pair of glasses from them since July 2022. She had an exam, was promised glasses would be ready in 2 weeks, but they were not. She called, and called and was blocked by the receptionist. She went in and was told that her glasses had to be sent back for correction. So in July the glasses that she never saw were supposedly returned and she awaited a new pair. After many calls using someone else's phone number, she got a call that her glasses were ready in January 2023. I took her to pick up her glasses and they were a completely different color and she could not see, they made her dizzy. We waited to talk to the optometrist who made it seem as though we were complaining about nothing. He said the prescription he wrote was the same as the last time she got glasses from him years ago. He insisted that she just needed to get used to the glasses. But, she said she could not see! This optometrist has been in business there for many years and maybe it's time for him to retire. Getting no satisfaction, we went to Walmart less than a mile away and were served immediately in their Vision department. Upon getting a new prescription we found that the prescription she had from Crystal Vision was not hers. Her eyes were completely different. At Walmart she had an exam and picked out new glasses. They will be ready in less than a week. She was also given contact lenses so that she could "see" while waiting for the new glasses. The receptionist and optometrists at Crystal vision made many mistakes with this customer; mistakes they did not own up to. There was not a financial issue here. They told her that she was being difficult by not being able to "see" with the glasses they issued; which were not the glasses she ordered. I would advise everyone to steer clear of Crystal Vision. They need to close their doors. Also, Crystal Vision is unclean, furniture is very old, sample frames are laid out on a countertop and not displayed on a wall. The exam room is so small and so crowded with junk that you can barely step inside of it. There are many many vision stores around that are clean and well organized. They also accept every kind of insurance. There is no need to accept such poor and miserable service as Crystal Vision provides. read more

Don't waste your time Crystal Vision Center my first impression of this place was I have found a Doctor for my kids that was close to my home, and thought it was great until my daughters glasses just fell off her face with the handle broke, I took them back under kids warranty in June , have not heard from them it is now September and every time I call they say they haven't came in yet ,when you give them your name they put you on hold and never come back to the phone? I guess I have called to Much she just needs to see , FIND YOU A VISION CENTER THAT CARES AND HIS EMPLOYEES CARES ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS AND WILL ANSWER YOUR CALLS NOT PUT YOU ON HOLD WHEN YOU HAVE QUESTIONS . During the examine the doctor told me he would "order [me] a box of lenses" as if it a normal part of a contact lense fitting. I asked what did he mean by that & he began talking in circles. It had been years since I was fitted for contacts, and I could not remember if that was customary. Turns out: it is not. I asked a number of people if their eye doctor's did the same, and the answer was No. No one is required to purchase lenses from the doctor--especially when he charges you twice the amount you can get at Costco. He makes it seem like he will wait until you've worn the trial pair before he orders a box, but in fact he charges you for them right then & there. Sure, it's one box, and I know we all have to make money, but I felt like I was being taken advantage of. He also wrote me the wrong prescription. That's right. He wrote a prescription for expensive overnight contacts, when I never expressed that I would wear them overnight; I specifically said I would never do that. They also were not the kind he gave me as a trial pair. When I went back and asked for the correct prescription, he said he must've noted it "for a different patient". He also criticizes his staff in front of clients. Nope. Never again. read more

I usually never write reviews but this place is very inconvenient. I just came from there hoping to pick up my contacts but they were closed and they're supposed to be open. Not only that but it took them over a month to call me and notify me that one of my trials was ready for pick up. I had to call them instead. When I did go back to pick them up I thought they were closed. The blinds were closed and the door was locked so I knocked on the door and someone finally opened the door. Seems to me like staff is just lazy. They told me I didn't need an appointment to return and have the doctor check out the trials so I went back and the doctor wasn't even there. Once I do get my contacts I will not be going back. Very disappointed with this place. read more

I believe this doctor to be insane. The staff acts like they could care less when you walk in the door. I went for 2 contact fittings and he still could not manage to get me a comfortable pair that allowed me to see. He kept insisting I must give it time. Well with 2 fittings that didn't correct my vision, even though this "Dr." insisted they did correct it ( ????? I think I'm the one seeing out of my eyes, not him) everything was shadowy and not bright. So I chose, since I was into this with time and they had already billed my insurance, to order eyeglasses to ride me over until I could afford an exam. Shocking that the glasses didn't correct my vision! I was really hoping they would be passable. Everything was shadowy and nothing was crisp or clear. But he insisted there was something wrong with me and became belligerent with me when I said I wanted to be able to see without things being blurry. STAY AWAY read more

I scheduled an appointment to get contact lenses. I was shocked that the day of my appointment no one answered the phone and it just rang but I still went in. Upon arrival, I was shocked by how outdated the office appeared. They used a card filing system and had furniture from the late 70's/early 80's. One of the office had a windows computer from what looked like the 80's and it was turned on as if they still use it. The exam room was junky. There was a coffee pot sitting on a stool. Dr. Shermulis had on shorts and gym shoes and was chewing gum during the entire exam. I received a trial pair of lenses and told to come back in two weeks. I waited to schedule an appointment and was told to walk-in. That's a first. I have never been to a doctor's office and was told to walk-in. I decided I did not want to go back so I called my insurance carrier to see if I could go to another office. I was then informed they had already billed by insurance for lenses I HAD NOT RECEIVED.
