Recently purchased a brand new 2026 Toyota Supra. Wanted to get PPF done prior to driving it in order to protect the new paint. Submitted project requests through Yelp and got several quotes for the work. All the pricing was fairly similar, within $100- $150 for full front end PPF application. Discovered that clear film protection for the front of the automobile will prevent the paint death by a thousand rock chips. First install 2009 RX-8 and 120,000 miles later front end still looks factory fresh. Every auto purchase since gets a film. If you need Paint Protection Film or Decals installed, Norbert from Crystal Shield is the Man!! I have a freshly restored 1975 Trans Am that needed the huge Firebird decal installed on the hood. Additionally I wanted PPF on the front upper and lower bumpers and the on the most vulnerable wheel flares ( that get pitted very easily). In one day Norbert completed the car. When I talked to Norbert on the phone, I not only realized he was extremely knowledgeable about his craft, but also that he was very passionate about his work. He probably spent a half hour explaining to me the ins and outs of a quality PPF job. He explained the different type of materials available, and why he chose the company he uses as his vendor. I was excited to take my wife's brand new 2025 Tesla Model 3 to receive the protective film and thereby keeping the paint protected, especially from chips. Previously, I had had my 2023 Model Y done at a place near the Tesla dealer in Carlsbad, and without much knowledge about the process. I booked him based on good tevieed. I had several problems with the PPF bubbling and got tired of going from Fallbrook to Carlsbad to "try" to correct it. Wow! Crystal Shield did an amazing job wrapping my new CT5 Blackwing in Suntek Ultra clear PPF. This is the second car that I own which was done by Norbert who owns Crystal Shield. The first car was a 2017 Shelby Mustang GT350 that I am the second owner of. The first owner had the car wrapped by Crystal Shield when it was brand new, seven years ago. I was impressed by the quality of the 7-year-old GT350, and the Suntek film on that car is still like brand new with no sign of dulling, cracking, or lifting anywhere. I found the receipt in my paperwork to see if I could find the same shop for my new Cadillac. Crystal Shield relocated to Temecula a couple of years ago, but I was happy to find that it was here and that it was Norbert who worked on the GT350 and who works on all of the cars himself. After meeting Norbert in person, one thing that stood out is just how passionate he is about his work and about the cars. He is a true artist and master craftsman. There are a few things that stood out about the Cadillac job. This was not only the front, but the front, hood, fenders, doors, rear quarters and a lot of trim. When Norbert was able to use the available patterns he did so and even made some adjustments to them so that, for example, he could avoid a seam to produce a better look. The Cadillac Blackwing has full carbon fiber seatbacks that look amazing, but are in a position where someone sitting behind could probably scratch one easily and so I wanted to protect them. While there was no official pattern available for the seatbacks, he created a custom wrap that looks amazing at a reasonable price. In another example, there was a small 20th-anniversary decal on a piece of trim that Norbert carefully lifted and saved so he could apply it over the PPF to avoid any air pockets showing by applying the film over the decal. It's a small detail, but there are many small details that add up to produce a result that is best in class. I am very satisfied with the results and recommend Crystal Shield to everyone. read more
