I needed to get my nails done for a weekend long event. I showed Kim a general idea of what I desired and through her suggestions the finished set is even more beautiful. She took her time and was extra careful in prepping my nails and cuticles since I told her I bleed easily. I'm usually worried about getting any gems since they fall off easily but the set stayed on for a while. This hole-in-the-wall place is easy to miss, but you really shouldn't! I got a $30 gel manicure recently and, two weeks later, it still looks amazing. No chips at all, and still shiny! The interior is pretty basic, but the stations are clean and the staff is very friendly, both to the patrons and to each other (the employees were yelling at each other in a foreign language at the last place I went to... not pleasant). Don't do it. Don't go here. I used to be a frequent customer before Covid but now they are just terrible. The price went way up but so has everything else. I was there two hours because they had to redo the first totally botched paint job. They removed the gel paint with a dremel. In love with this new spot just off the beaten path from old town Pasadena. You won't find anything cheaper in this area. These girls are great! They are young, nice, funny. They are friendly, but not imposing. They will chat with you as much as you want to chat. My nails are great! I got my first gel manicure here and I am in love with it! They spent a long time making my hangnails clean and making sure the nails turned out great. They even stayed past closing, which I really appreciated. They also have the best selection of colors, in great brands like OPI, to choose from. Like seriously, the biggest selection I've ever seen. Tons of sparkles, colors, combos. And their models have the latest 1/2 sparkle french tips, etc. so you know they aren't just some run down shop and will most likely be able to do whatever you want to do. Spa pedicure is $16. Regular pedicure (no spa/massage chair) is $13. Gel manicure is $22. French tips are $3. Great service, quick, affordable. What isn't to love! I love this place! And you can't beat the price! I got a gel manicure with a design for only $45 (see image), an additional $4 per nail for design. Mimi worked on my nails and did the coral French tip of my manicure, but she called in another girl to do the design. I had a printed image of how I wanted my nails and a few girls took turns looking at it until I guess one decided she could do that design. The total amount of time it took for everything was about 1 hour and 15 minutes which was a bit rushed due to the fact I went during my lunch break. However, the girls knew I only had a hour lunch and she asked if I wanted to go back to work and come back later to finish the nails, which I declined. I really appreciated how the girls really took care of my nails and their detail to attention. They didn't rush my nails despite the time constraint. Crystal Nails also has a stamp card program where after 10 services, you get $10 off. Plus, all the polish they use is of good quality. My gel was all OPI and some Gelish. The tools were all clean and sanitized as far as I could tell from the little bag they opened in front of me. Parking is easy here as they have a private lot. read more

They take an adequate amount of time to get your nails just how you want them. I don't always recommend relying on walking in, especially if it's during peak hours on the weekends. The yelp reviews rave about this place so why not. The first lady who did the basic gel missed most of the sides and I had to keep telling her to fill in the big gaps. Having tried several in the area when I used to live there, I was a little skeptical. However, I'm a total convert now. I had the spa pedicure, which included the scrub on your legs, the usual pumice and stuff, french color paint, a flower and a crystal (as I asked for) for the low price of $24. Excuse me? You mean you provide everything I get in Newport Beach for HALF of the price and none of the snobbery? Sold. I'll drive up for this. Maybe I can convince Becca J to do a girly pampering day once every couple of weeks. The girl who did my nails really did an excellent job, too. I was scrubbed, filed, painted and pampered with care. The shop itself is one of those TINY little nondescript nail salons located in a strip mall. It appears they only employ a few staffers, so they may get overwhelmed wtih a ton of business, but they're certainly worth waiting for. I arrived at my scheduled appointment time only to have to stand and awkwardly wait for 15 min. Once I was finally seen, the nail tech appeared to not want to be there and wasn't very friendly. She tells me, as she begins moving my old gel, there's a $3 charge for it- for real, you're going to tell me once I'm in the chair and you've already started?! Anyway, she continues and her attitude gradually improves. As she is painting my nails I notice the polis appears very thin, watery and is leaving streaks on my nails- nothing I've ever seen for as long as I've been getting gel manicures. As a result she ends up having to put on three coats of polish. Needless to say a week later, the Polish is peeling and it looks as though my week old manicure is 2 weeks old. *sigh*. Each set of feet is different and for me, being on my feet all day I need my nails trimmed the way they need to be for pain and comfort. Unfortunately today I sat with someone else and I'm here for their money not to get the sevice I NEED. The dry skin around the nail bed that hurts, its stiil there on all toes. She barely filed my nails to smooth them out. They are jagged. I paid $55 to have to go home and do the most important part that, that I'm not trained to do myself. She did not put any tissue between my toes to protect the polish. After I do what I have to do at home if I go back I'm sure I'm going to have to pay to have the polish redon. To sit with Tammy is 5 stars all the way. Why is it before the pandemic service was better? Now it's expensive and you have to tell them how to do it. I'm interested in becoming licensed to do my own so I don't leave in tears again! I'm grateful for the relief of some of pain, but the disappointment in these shops now is nothing like I've seen. Pride and integrity in the work is not there anymore since the prices have gone up. We all are trying to survive through all this. If your going go charge what your going to charge please do the work worthy of that price. Integrity and pride. If the work is good we will pay. That makes the difference. Just found this place through yelp. I needed a nail salon that would be open after my friend and I got off work (at 6pm), in the area where we worked, was reasonably priced ($22 for gel mani), and does gel nails. This fit the criteria. The sign was a bit hard to see driving around, because "crystal" was in tiny words and all I could see was "nails" in big bold letters. It's in a tiny plaza next to a liquor store, a shabu shabu place, and some other random small stores. It's really small, and easy to overlook. It has its own parking lot, so parking wasn't an issue. Inside was bright and clean, as well as their bathroom. We came in on a Wednesday evening and they were able to seat us right away. They have a large selection of gel and OPI nail polishes, and used OPI gel nail polish for the color I picked (just a basic black). The staff was really nice and friendly, and weren't talking to each other too much. The lady who did my nail was quiet and focused pretty much the entire time. She did a really neat job around the cuticles, and finished my manicure off with a pineapple smelling oil that gave my hands much needed moisture. I like that they have the light to harden gel nails attached right under the table so it's not bulky or awkwardly in the way on their limited workspace...very space efficient! They offer a stamp card, which is great for regulars. Also I appreciate that they take credit card at no extra charge...just bring cash to tip.
