(Caveat: I can't speak to conditions during the winter / skiing logistics as others have commented on here.) We went here in September 2024 to see Mount Rainier up close and had a great time! The Quicksilver Lodge was cute - definitely feels like a college dorm, but nice spacious hotel rooms with modern amenities. The loft rooms with two extra beds up top were cute - our toddler had a field day going up and down the stairs. Walking distance to the gondola to go up to the top of Crystal Mountain. We didn't have to make reservations at the Alpine Inn restaurant but easily got seated - they had a good menu including vegetarian options and kid-friendly options. read more

I stayed here for 2 nights on a girls trip. Our goal was to do hikes in Mt Rainier, so the location was great. However, the room itself was not great. Everything in the room had a light sticky and dusty feel to it. The fan upstairs was caked in dust and my bed was not clean. There were a bunch of short hairs and curls in the sheets. We asked for the sheets to be changed and when I went to sleep the second night, I saw that the sheets were stained. At that point, I was just happy we were leaving soon. The tub was also clogged so we were showering while standing in dirty inches of water. read more

Perfect (and one of the only) places to stay if skiing for a few days at Crystal. You can't beat the close proximity with less than 5 min walking path to the ski resort. The series of hotels are old but that's part of the mountain vibe. We stayed at Village which was super basic but it was clean. Shower distributed just enough water to wash a squirrel but at least the water was warm. Stopped and checked out the Quicksilver Lodge and played an arcade game in their 2nd floor lodge which had a warm fireplace burning. read more

The Crystal Mountain Alpine hotel, on Mt Rainier is without a doubt the worst of the worst. I have stayed in hotels in every one of the 48 states and several in Europe while working. Here is the rundown. Safety?? Snow was not removed from walkways. I can understand an overnight accumulation but street plows blocked access to the walkways without any attempt to clean them for pedestrian traffic. Moreover walkways to and from the parking area were deep with ruts from other foot traffic. I fell twice with my overnight bags as did others. The parking area for the Alpine was also clogged with banks of snow that had not been removed. People had to literally dig their autos out. I have never witnessed such poor custodial care in my life and I am not a young man. Accommodations?? Images on the website did not reflect the actual room. The bed required you to crawl to and from because there was not room for the bed in the room. The image on the website showed a spacious room with closet. The bathroom had no sink, there was no outlets to plug in a hair dryer or an electric razor. The paper thin walls allowed you to hear the next room's occupants use the bathroom and all their talking late into the night. Baseboards were covered with dust. Moreover, this was a NO PET facility. I counted more than three dogs including a large German Shepherd. The website has in large statement in color coded words..."PLEASE NOTE NONE OF THESE ROOMS IN THE ALPINE INN ALLOW PETS" When asked at the reservation room we were told, we will look into it. We were told that if we had any problems with the room, just call us. Fine except there was no phone in the room. Moreover, the wifi was sketchy at best or not working and there was no local staff on hand. Phone calls were therefore out of the question. The small homemade cabinet for clothing in the room had broken latches on the doors making it difficult to use and if a door was open ob the cabinet, there was no access to the bed. Also, signs in the parking area denote handicapped parking areas. These signs are randomly moved day by day. We had a parking permit but because the signs are moved at random, we received a parking violation. We contested the parking violation but were told we had to go online to pay it because the hotel has no control over either the signs or the payments. In other words, there is no responsibility or accountability, on the part of the hotel for almost anything. Attractions?? The Summit House, a restaurant at the end of the gondola ride, is reputed to be very fine dining and open from 12 pm to 3:30 pm on Saturday and Sunday. We told the ticket person we wanted to go up and eat there. After a $69 price for a gondola ticket for my wife and I , we arrived at the Summit House, to find that it was closed and had been for some time. Another situation for no accountability or responsibility. When we complained to the ticket office we were told, "We do not control the restaurants, it is probably a Covid problem and they cannot get employees." Upon returning home I looked at the job opportunities for the facility including resturants. There are no openings for wait staff, cooks or any other type of restaurant people in any of the facilities. The truth of the matter is they knew and just didn't care. I give it a rating somewhere below -1 but yep requires at least one star. read more

When I first checked in to Village Inns, it took 45 minutes to get keys coded to the door that actually worked [The front desk person was amazing, it was not his fault. He had excellent customer service skills]. The ice machine was in the next building so it was not easy to access and unpractical to use on at the level I would have. There was no AC/way to regulate the temperature in the room and there were no screens on the window, so I couldn't open it to cool the room overnight due to the bugs. The shower pressure barely misted during the shower. The hot water in the bathroom sink was way too hot immediately after turning it on. It seemed like such a high cost [$230/night] for subpar accommodations. I was grateful to be able to get away from the fireworks with my dogs but I would not come back again. I gave the feedback when I received an after visit survey, but basically received a "it's your fault for not telling us all these things at the beginning of your stay and we're human". Also "we hope you come back and give us another chance". As I was only going to be there overnight, it wasn't worth wasting more of my trip to wait for them to come and fix things. read more

What can I say that others haven't already said? Easily the most rundown hotel/motel I've ever stayed at. Let's start with the fact that there was a BOOGER on my pillowcase! After we arrived I thought I would lay down and get cozy for a bit. I saw what I thought was maybe a mysterious little leaf-piece on the pillow. I went to brush it off. That is when I realized it what it actually was. There were multiple long, brown hair on the toilet and in the tub. The tub faucet was dripping. Management did not seem the least bit surprised and did not bother to fix it. Soooo many, many things to list but the WORST was how thin the walls were. The water pressure in the shower was great but fairly poor in the sink. The towels and sheets didn't smell very good... not dirty by any means, but not fresh either. Usually for a room this price (approximately $230), you get decent quality shampoo, conditioner, and soap or shower gel... unfortunately, all they had was low quality "conditioning shampoo" and bar soap. They have free Wi-Fi. No bottled water provided in rooms (I would've gladly paid for it but want it readily available). The front desk person I interacted with was polite, helpful, and was not annoyingly-fake-nice. Overall, it's ok. It's a place to sleep that's close to the ski hill. First impressions were not good - these are SMALL and uninteresting rooms to crash in. there is no romance, luxury or charm. Tired? you can sleep. need cleaning up after skiing? you can shower. the bed was comfortable and room kept warm via in wall heater. They have ski lockers but lack motel wide Wi-Fi or true cable tv - last time I was limited to 8 channels was 1987. I cannot believe that for the extraordinary prices charged per room they couldn't extend the Wi-Fi beyond the upstairs lobby. Cell coverage is terrible so Wi-Fi becomes very important. The value is just not here. I was staying in a Motel 6 for Four Seasons prices. The cute pictures in this yelp listing are of ONE of the hotels and are not representative of all available. I wish I had read the reviews before I booked my room. I paid about $250 for a small basic room with a queen bed and a sofa bed at the Alpine Inn. There's no bath tub, but shower only. No telephone or TV in the room. The wifi service is poor. The only good thing is the location. It's right in front of the ski resort entrance. We could leave our car in front of the hotel and just walk to ski. Very convenient! Other than location, I don't see any good reason to book this hotel. They even don't provide us free breakfast. What an interesting place this Crystal Mountain is. First, my car gets "Booted" because I didn't see the pay station in the pitch black of night when I arrived. Then I go to the Snorting Elk for a beer. I sat at an empty table, except for the 20 or so previously used beer glasses on it, for about an hour, with not one employee offering me a beer, even though a couple eventually came by to clear a few, but not all, the glasses from the table. Pretty bare bones basic space that is outdated and not the cleanest. We paid A LOT of money for a loft room to sleep 6 for 2 nights minimum required. I am ok with simple but I'm. It with unclean. We found lots of hairs everywhere:(. Only 4 towels provided for the 6 of us & 1 coffee packet for 2 nights. Upon our arrival the parking lot was a sheet of ice and actually our son fell and busted his knee which sort of ruined his stay. We worked with Christian Berry to reserve a block of hotel rooms for my wedding at Crystal Mountain Resort. The Hotels (comprised of the Alpine Inn, Village Inn, and Quicksilver Lodge) are NOT affiliated with the Resort, so keep this in mind if planning your wedding here. Crystal Mountain Hotels has 3 hotels on-resort, plus the Alpine Inn Restaurant (they serve breakfast buffet every day, also lunch and dinner), and the Snorting Elk Lodge (for drinks). We worked with Christian not just to set up a hotel block, but also arrange a rehearsal dinner and farewell brunch for our guests. He was so organized, thoughtful, and professional the entire experience. Food and drinks were great! We loved having a hot & filling breakfast especially on chilly mornings. Rehearsal dinner had generous portions (our steaks were huge!). My extremely picky parents said it was the best steak they'd ever had and surpassed every steakhouse they've ever tried. All of it was also super affordable. We personally stayed in the Village Inn because they had pet-friendly rooms. Accommodations are cozy at all locations, but could be tight depending on your room (we had a teeny bathroom). The grounds are absolutely gorgeous. Our guests were visited by a black and silver fox a few times which only added to the wonder of the location. I felt very safe walking our dog at all hours. We just stayed at Village Inn. Though it is overpriced, the room was clean and comfortable, but very outdated, which did not bother us. In fact, we found the light fixture (I'm attaching photo) very amusing. It was the craziest looking thing, and the mounting was falling apart from the ceiling. It was absolutely hilarious. "Wow I want my money back" is what I was thinking after 15 minutes at the Alpine Inn. What a joke! I bought this deal on living social and thought it would be nice to stay somewhere right by the ski lift. In fact it is the only good thing I could think about this place. After checking in, we went in our room and it was not even checked out or made: bed sheets and blanket was all over the place, 2 sets of key were lying by the sink. It looked like they didn't even know if someone had stayed earlier and just gave us that room. We called the front desk immediately. They offered room upstairs or have housekeeper clean up in 30min. We said we could wait to have it cleaned cos our friends stayed next door. Ok they came, apologized, cleaned up and we got our room after 30min. The disappointment did not stop here. I put my shoes under the sink (by the way probably is the only place where you could place your shoes), and washed my face. A minute later I found the sink was leaking and water was all over my shoes. Yes you guess right, I was not happy! Before I went any further, let me tell you sth else. The picture on their website was deceiving! The room is way way smaller than what they looked on the site, and the love seat or closet were quite old and beat up. There were stains noticeably on the love seat and didn't look like anyone was doing any laundry! oh and the advertised "free wifi" is bull**** because obviously the lobby (stinky and cold) is the only where you can get signal. To me, that is false advertising because my friend brought her laptop so we could do a movie night. Obviously not. Anyway they switched us to a different room down the hall and it shares bathroom with next door! Fortunately no one checked in that night so we did not have to worry about anything. There was a deli where you could order pizza (quite highly priced), sandwich and snacks. Next to it there was a bar which was quite crowded during weekends, but it stunk so bad we could barely breathe. I think the person who helped me made reservation had lied to me about Alpine Inn. Knowing nothing, I asked for her opinion of which place people usually preferred and which place seemed better/nicer. She pointed me right to Alpine Inn which in my reality check, seemed like the worst. The other two at least have TV and coffee maker. This one had nothing and ridiculously small. I felt cheated and actually mad at myself for even thinking of buying the coupon. Sure, it was good location but next time I'd be happy to take a shuffle from the resort downhill to the lift. Shame on you, Alpine Inn and the people who operate Crystal Mountain Hotels! read more

UPDATE.... Once again I am disappointed in the stay we had at the Alpine in at Crystal Mountain Hotels. I feel like its my fault for buying another voucher (but before my last stay). The price was definitely too good to be true. We thought we should stay at the Alpine Inn since the Restaurant and Snorting Elk (deli/pizza) were in the same building. I can't comment on how the Quicksilver lodge is, but for the 2/3 hotels I've stayed at...Village Inn AND Alpine were out-dated and really run down! The carpet reeks, the showers/toilets are not cleaned very well and the bedding is "frumpy" (if that could be a word, that's what it is). The staff during this visit were very unpleasant. They just seem like a bunch of college kids that don't care much for their job, their attitudes stink! From check in they did a sloppy job at explaining where things were/what time breakfast was, etc. They slapped out keys on the counter and we were off to fend for ourselves to find where the hotel was. The Alpine Inn (in the room we had) did not have a TV or mini fridge. All it had was a full sized bed, a dusty old closet and a stained old couch. Not worth even the money we paid for our voucher. Sorry Crystal Mountain Hotels, this is the last stay I'll ever have with you. You're website shows a clean/decent hotel and it is VERY deceiving. The one star I gave you is for the location of your hotels since it is a short walk to the main part of the Resort. read more

I stayed at the Quicksilver Lodge from 1/13 - 1/15, get ready for this. The "hotel" is extremely small, I had a deluxe room that had a sink right at the foot of my bed. Units do not appear to be well kept at all and I did not feel my health was safe staying in the unit. I actually set a trap one night and tossed the dirty hand-towel on the counter that had a specific stain on it, once I came back to my made up room the exact same hand-towel was placed back on the holder. I got sick my second night and it was actually really bad. I have no idea what it was from but I think it may be related to the shrimp I ate at one of the restaurants on the mountain (not the Summit) or just from the overall lack of cleanliness this hotel provides it's guests. It's now 1/16 and I'm actually very sick, I visited the doctor today and they believe I have a strand of E. Coli or Salmonella, still waiting on the results from the lab which I'll have tomorrow. I can tell you I'm in very much pain right now and never want to go through this again. The mountain is great and I love coming there for day trips, however, I won't be staying the night at one of the Crystal Mountain Hotels again. Read the reviews here, get a place 20 minutes out not affiliated with them, it's worth the drive. This isn't just a "bad review", it's a WARNING to anyone staying at the Quicksilver Lodge or eating their food. Look up the Alpine Inn in the Pierce County Health Departments website, they have several RED violations. read more

We got a deal through Living Social and when I called to book a room, I asked the man at reception which lodge/inn he recommended the most and he said Alpine Inn. He said that it felt like a lodge more so than the other places. That he was correct in but he failed to mention that the rooms were MUCH smaller. When we walked in (my boyfriend and I), we barely had any space to move around. The room was just able to fit a full size (?) bed, armoire, and love seat sofa. There was no TV and no mini fridge. The mattress looked old and lumpy. We drove in from Seattle and after spending some time on the slopes, we checked in. When my boyfriend saw the room, he suggested we forfeit the $ we paid and that we go home since we will enjoy staying at home more than staying at the Alpine Inn. I called reception and asked her if there were any other rooms available with a TV. They were kind enough to switch us to another hotel and she said that Quicksilver had the largest rooms and they had TVs. Quicksilver was definitely bigger, had a TV with a DVD player and a mini fridge. We decided to stay :) The room was pretty standard but seemed so much nicer compared to the rooms at Alpine Inn. They also have DVD's for rent at reception for $4 and the selection was pretty decent. Also, if you are staying at Quicksilver or Alpine Inn, make sure you check in at Guest Registration at Village Inn. No one told us that. In fact, the parking lot attendant told us to go to Alpine Inn to check in. When we got to Alpine Inn, no one was there to answer any questions or direct us. Luckily, there was another guest there and he pointed us in the right direction! The breakfast at Alpine Inn Restaurant was quite nice and am glad we made it there in time. Overpriced. This would have been ok if in the middle of nowhere and cost $60, or if it was at least in some true "ski resort town/village" that had any apres-ski to speak of. The quality of the room does not justify the price in any possible way. I also feel a little deceived, as the front-desk staff (bottom floor really) pointed us to the Alpine Inn (5 minute walk) as the place where "breakfast will be served," tricking us to think breakfast is included in the stay. When we arrived at the Alpine Inn for breakfast, we were greeted as hotel guests and were never given a menu or told that there's a price to the buffet breakfast. In retrospect, I would have preferred to go back all the way to Seattle and come back to Crystal in the morning than to spend my dollars on such a business. read more

The quicksilver inn was horribly disappointing! 200 sq ft with a tiny cramped loft , no kitchen or microwave, only one sick for the bathroom out in the main bedroom /living area . I used a TIPPR deal for my stay. Overall, it worked fine, but with the TIPPR deal the hotel was priced appropriately (2 weeknights for $149 total). I would have been very disappointed if I had paid regular price (same nights for $360 total). I chose the Quicksilver based on a couple of things: 1) both the website and the person on the phone described it as the "most contemporary" of the 3 hotels, and, 2) the complimentary wi-fi. Both were accurate, relatively. The wi-fi was incredibly weak and when I arrived the registration person said that "wi-fi is guaranteed in the lobby and may work in some rooms". PROS: --Location, location, location. It was the perfect location. --Nice tv --Mini-fridge --Easy parking --Friendly staff CONS: --The rooms were about the caliber of a Motel 6. Granted, it is a ski lodge so some level of musty-ness is expected I suppose but it definitely felt dated and musty (though it did feel like it was cleaned relatively well) --The clock didn't work and the mini-fridge barely kept the beer cold. --Faucet water tastes horrible. --The "lobby" felt more like a 5th grade camp lodge when walking in than a hotel/motel. --Wifi only really worked in one corner of the room. I think this place is fine for a stay at Crystal - but I think it is overpriced if paying regular price at $180 per night. Alpine Inn. I agree with the other reviews that the place is cute, homey and has a great location! The staff were very helpful and friendly. One gentleman walked to another hotel to locate a hairdryer for me. Unfortunately, there was no outlet by the mirror in our room so I had to dry my hair in the public bathroom in the hallway. Just feel like the place could use a little updating, it looks a little rough around the edges. The heater in our room had instructions to not use the dial on the wall, but use the dial on the baseboard heater. After a very sweaty night, and several employees looking at it, my husband finally solved the issue by using the dial on the wall : ) Our other friends each had different working heaters in their rooms. I think the best thing about the Alpine Inn is it's proximity to the Alpine Inn Restaurant (yummy) and the Snorting Elk Cellar Bar! Both are in the same building. read more

We stayed one night at alpine inn room 111 on 7/20/2018. We couldn't use the shower because the faucet was broken, so the water leaked everywhere except from the shower head. We called the front desk but no one answered (front desk is located at a different building and we didn't want to walk nor drive to that building after a long day). The next morning, we told the hotel staff about the shower issue upon check out. The hotel staff said that they aware of this issue, without even try to apologize to us. We are not ask for a fancy room. We just need a simple and clean room especially after a long day of driving and hiking but only find out that the shower doesn't work. The hotel staff doesn't make any effort to provide customers a proper room. The hotel staff doesn't make any effort to apologize when they fail to do their job. This is not acceptable. read more

We were traveling from out-of-state and visiting Mt. Rainier for two days. We wanted to stay as close to the park as possible to maximize our time. The location cannot be beat. There are reviews that the hotel is dated. It is definitely not a new 5-star Marriott property, but we knew that ahead of time from reading other reviews and looking at pictures, but our room was clean and was great for our needs for the night and the Wi-Fi worked great. read more

Alpine Village - Overpriced and Noisy This old, poorly maintained hotel had no air conditioning nor microwave, had noisy pipes and ventilation systems from neighboring rooms that kept us awake most of the night, and was musty smelling. We stayed in the Quicksilver Lodge Loft Room for one night. It was a great setup. Queen bed downstairs and then two doubles upstairs make it great for a set of grownups downstairs and kids up. Imagine old hotel room, but with good space for a family (because of the loft). The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. Price was high, but you're walking distance to the gondola. The room is definitely dated, in terms of furnishings, but very clean and comfortable and bright - if you know what you're getting into (dated but clean and great access to ski slopes), then it's fantastic! The lodge has a commons area with plenty of board games, tables to play or put together puzzles, and a giant gas fireplace and couches. It was great for taking kids who are awake into a space where it's ok to make noise while others sleep in the morning. No kitchen accommodations - we ended up purchasing breakfast/lunch/dinner around the mountain. read more

What a disappointing stay! Booked the Queen with Loft room at Quicksilver Lodge for a whopping $350 (taxes included)for one night and was disappointed beyond belief. The bathroom was tiny, the room is outdated, the toilet wouldn't work past 2 flushes (had to keep having maintenance come), what I can only assume was bad batteries in the remote for the 24in TV so that was awesome! The floors were filthy, like, not even vacuumed, just gross! The room had no insulation so you could hear absolutely everything and the draft was ridiculous. The lounge is nice, but outdated as well. Old games, puzzles with missing pieces, just disappointed beyond imagination. I would never stay again. read more

If you are looking for a rustic, clean (ish), budget lodgy hotel to crash while you are skiing, this place is a heck of a deal. If, as some reviewers have noted, you are looking for spacious digs that will leave you WiFi connected in a spa like sactuary, you should mosey along, because you will be painfully disappointed. Rooms are TINY - think 70% as large as your college dorms, with showers only, no TV and sketchy WiFi. There is a cool shared living room in the Alpine Lodge for board games and reading. The rooms are right off a cental and occassionally noisy hall so it has some drawbacks for those in need of a nap during the day or who are early to bed. The place is perfect to crash for a few nights and not have to haul it from Seattle to the mountain daily. Rooms prices are high, but considering its the only gig in town, its not nearly as bad as you would get in Breckenridge or Aspen. You get fresh towels, a clean space and not much else. The perks of location include the fact that its the closest lodging you can get to the mountain, there's onsite restaurant, free parking and your own equipment locker. There is a mountain store thing with some sodas and such, but it's only open when there's skiing and I didn't see a single vending machine around, so be sure you bring your own snacks and beverages from town (about 25 miles away). As for the room, we got a full size bed with a mini bathroom (shower/toilet) in a room ajoining a bunk bedroom for the kids. Each room had a mini sofa and we counted ourselves fortunate to have great weather and no need to stay in the room during the day as you wouldn't want hang out in the room for more than an hour cuz its so dang tiny. There is both a restaurant and pub attached the Alpine Inn and both are very reasonable considering you are a captive audience (reviewed seperately). Overall a great place for a small family to stay. Bring your ear plugs in case and snacks for pleasant escape in a rustic environment. read more

This hotel is really outdated and is in need of a major renovation. The ceilings on the second floor are really low that you have to bend over to enter the room. I've hit my head against them a few time during our stay. The staircase is really steep and not safe for the little kids at all. Needs new sink faucet as it was barely running and almost no hot water. Other than that this hotel is in a great location and has a beautiful view of the mountains. read more

the rooms were very small. just beds and a counter. only a fridge and a small tv. The hotel said there was a microwave but the only microwave in the entire building was in the lobby. The hotel staff was for the most part unavailable and unhelpful. Our room keys stopped working after the first day so we had to climb in through the window every time. would NOT recommend read more

I am a ski bum at heart and our stay at the Alpine Inn last weekend was just what we needed. I booked a double bed room for two nights. Not huge but had plenty of room for our snowboards (in a locker), a clean bathroom and comfy bed. There was a band both nights at the Snorting Elk and it was so much fun to dance the night away and then saunter back to our room. Not luxury but perfect for us! We will be back :) read more

This is particularly for the Quicksilver: I bought a Living Social deal for Crystal Mountain hotels, and at first was pleased that they had a Sunday open that worked (it was Sun-Thurs deal). The Alpine Inn was full, so I opted for the Quicksilver based on recommendations from my reservation agent. The hotel is nestled in the trees next to the lifts, an ideal location. A good start... but really this place has no competition and it's clear that because of this the hotel has chosen to ignore customer service and some needed updating. First, when I arrived to check in the lobby reeked of cigarettes. No prob, until you realizing you are signing your life away about the non-smoking nature of your room. Ok. The receptionist explains to me where to go, and looks at me expectantly to leave. "Um, do I get a key or anything?" I ask her. "Oh yeah..." is her reply. I then find my room on the ground floor and realize I've been duped by the internets again. The room is NOTHING like the photo (because the photo online is of the "loft room," and I'm guessing there is only one). The wallpaper, gold bed frame, and crappy carpet is is a good indication the room is stuck in the 80's. And, the heat was turned off. I can appreciate energy savings, but when you know you have a guest arriving fresh from a day on the mountain, maybe maintaining a 50-60 degree air flow would allow for the place to warm up in less than the 3-4 hours it took to get to a reasonable temperature. The tub didn't drain, weak pillows, shabby TV with only a few channels, reek of marijuana in the hallway after a dinner at the Snorting Elk (a fine, funky, place for a meal actually), and the fact you can hear EVERYTHING in the hallway and room next door make this less than ideal. The icing on the cake was being told that breakfast service stopped at 10:30am when I checked in, and then (with my "free" breakfast ticket in hand) being told by the waiter that breakfast in the restaurant (located in the Alpine Inn) stopped seating at 9:30. It was 9:40am. What a joke. This place was clean and the down comforter was nice (the mattress not so much). Don't blow your money on this place unless you are not from Washington and have no other options. Even with a discount, I wouldn't consider this place. Next time I'll just head home. I really wanted to like this place, I really did - but it just couldn't cut it. read more

I have been staying at the Alpine Inn since the mid 90s and I love it! There is no other place in Washington that offers ski in-ski out privledges. Great food at both the Restaurant and Deli, lively bar at the Snorting Elk and comfy rooms to crash in when done. I have Kids and they enjoy skiing as much as I do. After a hard day of skiing we usually come off the mountain and the kids hit the back hill for some good quality sledding, or we will go for a night hike or build a snow fort. There are usually many kids ranging in age that are staying at the Inn so they are forced to make fast friends. The Alpine Inn has rustic bavarian style rooms and do not offer phones or TVs in the rooms which I like. If you are looking for a resort feel like Vail then go to Vail. Overall for some of the best Skiing in Northwest go to Crystal Mnt and stay at one of the Crytal Mountain hotels. Keep in mind that you are there to enjoy mountain life and if you think its expensive then compare this slope side accomodation to any other resort. I am sure you will see this offers a good value. read more

I swear these guys just know that people don't have any other options in that area. The rooms are overpriced, tiny, and kind of gross. The restaurant isn't very good at all. If I didn't have to stay there for a wedding in August, I wouldn't go there. read more

The quicksilver lodge is in desperate need of a staff that throughly cleans the room and pays attention to detail. Our room was in very poor shape, which included blood stained sheets, a disgusting floor stained with who knows what, a broken stopper for our sink, milky water from the sink, and other various stains on the sheets. The room also had a slight smell that dissipated after a little while. The price we paid for the room was extremely overpriced and honestly, a ripoff. They get away with this because of the lack of lodging options. I would not recommend staying here or any of the crystal mountain resorts. Also, heads up the Alpine Inn restaurant charges a $1.50 for each item when you order to go. Note that there is limited seating, so be aware when you get your order to-go. Overall, a very poor experience with lodging, but the mountain is great, just don't stay close to the mountain. read more
