I came here to have routine maintenance on my Mazda, and Crystal Auto Mall has proved themselves incapable of providing this service and worse.. The whole story: I brought my car in for a their recommended 60k suite of maintenance (oil change, filters wipers and inspection). As well as to fix a persistent wheel shake. During my visit they crushed my rocker panel, my quarter panel was dinged and my door was scratched up like Edward scissor hands is their mechanic!!! And the wheel shake was still there... Over $1000 worth of damage... They tried to give me back my car without a word. They severely damaged my car and attempted to dupe me like a fool. To add insult to injury they didn't even perform the maintenance which I brought my car in for. When I noticed the damage, the service manager was apologetic and quick to get me a rental car. I was promised the damage would be fixed and my car would be detailed. After the first week passed I contacted the owner of the dealership out of desperation... He assured me that he would see to it that I would remain a loyal customer. Afterwards I was continually updated as my car was brought to multiple outside body shops.. That various things had to be painted... I do not know why it took 2 full weeks to get back my car, or what actually happened at the dealership that caused so much seemingly unrelated damage, and still nobody offered an explanation. They fixed the ding, replaced the rocker panel.. The scratched door was buffed but deepest scratch on the handle is still visible, and the car was not actually detailed. I thought at least for all of my trouble I would at least get the promised complementary detailing. They finally did complete the routine maintenance which was the reason that I brought my car in... So I've got that going for me. But the wheel shake was as bad as ever even though they claimed to have rebalanced my wheels. My experience warrants a 1 star rating... But the courteous manner which the service manager conducted himself earns this place 2. It is deplorable that they damaged my vehicle and tried to pass it off as if nothing happened. It is an inexcusable business practice that is not remedied by politeness after the fact. If you are silly enough bring your car here, take "before" pictures so if they damage your car too you can back it up. Afterwards I took my car to an independent, highly recommended mechanic to inspect Crystal's work. His inspection shows damage to the undercarriage of my car where Crystal misaligned the jack lift. More proof of the ham-fisted poor workmanship of this dealership. Also, my tires were terribly misbalanced and under inflated. Which was causing the wheel shake. A simple fix, but one that is still too complicated for the incompetence of Crystal auto mall. I've supported every issue listed in this review with photo evidence. Caveat Emptor. read more

I went there for the mounting of the new tires that I ordered online. The service team mounted the tires inside out. What a pathetic service. If someone comes to a Dealership - he has the belief that the people over there are knowledgeable and know in and out of the car and its parts - but here it is all opposite. They mounted it inside out. I dont know how this can be missed by technician when the tires were marked clearly what should be inside and what shouldn't. This caused me missing on my official trip and money. Now they offered to get this mistake corrected - but all this time - I have lost my faith and my money as well. Horrible experience getting my car serviced for the first time at this dealership. Rude, unprofessional and non personal service representative . My vehicle had a recall. No one explained to me what they did afterward, just handed the keys to me. I noticed my car sitting in the lot after 2 hrs. I let it go for 20 minutes until I had to approach the desk. Then to top the entire experience off, I walk up to a dirty car. I have purchased many vehicles in my time and I always have had a complimentary car wash with every dealership except for this one! I see why this place got terrible reviews. I made an appt two weeks ago to bring my car in for a recall. 8:40am on Saturday. I get there and the guy asked his co worker if they got the lift gate parts in yesterday and he calls someone else and they confirmed they did not. I said to the guy why didn't you check first thing this morning and call me first thing this morning so I didn't drive all the way here (20 mins) and all he said was sorry and they would call me when it comes in. Note to everyone, if you plan on bringing your car here for service on a certain part, call first thing and make sure they have it, or just avoid this place all together. Considering just going out of my way to the dealership I got it at in freehold (Irwin) just because they were so great there when I got my car originally. Update: got call earlier in the week that the part was in, I asked for service manager and he agreed to squeeze me in on the weekend. Bought a brand new Cx5 here. Have had issues with the paint since I got it. Paint is defective and chipping. Looks like my new car is 8 years old! The service department acted like i was crazy and it's normal wear and tear. Who has chips next to their sunroof, gas tank, doors, hood but not the front bumper??? Went to check out their certified used cx-5. 1. The vehicle that I wanted to test drive was not on the lot. Sales guy made me walk like 2 loops and wasted like 10 minutes. 2. I wanted to test drive one of them in the lot and the battery was dead so I couldn't test drive it. These events I kind of understand but for me but the reason why I rated 1 star is because I went to buy a used cx-5 and the bluetooth security was locked. I called this dealer and they told me it'll cost me 125 bucks ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY FIVE BUCKS!! to reset my bluetooth passcode. I told them no way haha and hung up. After that I went on youtube and found a way to reset the passcode. It took me 30 seconds to reset it. Stay away from this dealership. They overprice their cars based on my research also. read more

I visited Crystal Mazda last Wednesday for general information. Friday I became the proud owner of a 2016 Mazda3. I traded in my 2007 Mazda3 and got a pretty decent amount for it. Although I did my research, I still risked being taken advantage of as a young female. However, the salesman and Sales Manager went above and beyond to assist me. The salesman, Marquise Grant, was extremely patient and accommodating. I inquired about the 2017 Mazda3 but the Sales Manager, Andres Jimenez, actually found a cheaper car on the lot with more features. Last but not least, the Business Relations Manager (finance) explained my options to me in depth and helped to create a package that suited my needs. Had a terrible time dealing with sales reps. We initially wanted the Costco membership price for a new Mazda. The sales rep ended up with a price equal to online quotes plus he added an extra add on for $200. When we mentioned we had a great initial quote from another dealer, the sales rep gave us a number that was $1000 higher than what we had already! Very aggressive sales strategy and showed no desire to work with us. Needless to say we left after 30 minutes. As we were exiting, heard several employees outside dropping f bombs while on break. Would not recommend, and would highly advise other fantastic Mazda dealers in NJ. In fact, 9 hours later we are driving home in our brand new Mazda CX5 bought from a different dealer! I bought a Mazda 3 in early November from Crystal Auto Mall. About 2 weeks after buying my car, I hit a curb near my home. I quickly thought of my tire and wheel coverage and was so thankful that I decided to go with it. I called up Crystal Auto Mall for a service appointment and described the situation. They fit me in the same night. When I brought my car in, I was told that the rim, tire and wheel were fine; it was simply the hubcap that was an aesthetic issue that could be dealt with at a later time. On my way home, I stopped at a local garage owned by a family friend who I asked to check it out. He mentioned that rim was dented and was surprised I had not gotten a flat tire yet driving there. I then took my car to Open Road of Morristown Mazda, they could not have been nicer, and it is because of them that I would ever consider buying a Mazda again. They took my car in, having to order parts, and sent me out with a nice rental car for no charge. They mentioned to me that they had to go through leaps and bounds to find my tire and wheel coverage, and reached out to Richard Perafan and Crystal Auto Mall 5 times before every talking with someone. They finally reached someone when they told the receptionist to put the phone down and get someone to speak to him. I felt horrible, but was impressed they did the leg work and did not throw it into my lap. Of course, not too long after I received a Service survey. Appropriately, I answered every question truthfully, and that was that I was displeased with my service as there was damage to my rim that they seemed to not have the time for. I received a call from Catherine (I believe that was her name), who was the most pleasant person I was ever in contact with at Crystal Auto Mall. She wanted to rectify my bad service experience with a full detail, inside and out, of my car and added on a Carbon Air Filter as well. Hesitantly, in late April, I went back to Crystal Auto Mall for my first scheduled service. I dropped my car off and explained to them that I would be able to leave it there for most of the day, as I had other transportation and did not have to work that day. About an hour and a half later, my car was ready. I pulled in to get my car, and it was still dirty. I went back inside and asked to speak with a manager. After ten minutes for "Mike" to come and help me, Kelly, who told me she was a manager, offered to help me. I explained to her the entire situation, and how detailing my car was already trying to rectify a previous terrible service experience. She was seemingly apologetic. I showed her my car, and her words exactly were "Those are just water spots". So I took her around my car and told her that my car was barely wiped down and was only quickly vacuumed on the inside. Kelly finally agreed with me that it had not been detailed; she apologized and asked me if I had some more time for them to detail it. This added to my frustration, as I had already explained that I had ample time and could leave my car there. Twenty minutes later, my car was run through the car wash, water spots and all. Kelly brought me back to my car, and said "What happened to your mirror?" I explained to her that I had brought it through a car wash and the side view mirror had fallen off, and a plastic clip had broken off, I simply thought it was a flaw of the car and was able to pop it back on with no issue. She just said to me "Well, it's not there now." Kelly even asked one of the Valet gentleman "The mirror wasn't there when you brought the car in, right?" I knew, for a fact, that it had been there prior to Kelly driving it back into the car wash because I look at the mirror every time I get in and out of the car, I especially knew it was there because I was walking around the whole car, with her, showing her how it had not been detailed. Kelly simply said, we can order another one and paint it for you but it would take a while. Beyond frustrated, I got in my car, and pulled around to the front and called Mauricio, my salesman. In tears and a bit of rage, I explained to him the whole situation and he came out to meet me. He asked me to drive my car up to the service department, and he went inside. About 5 minutes later, Mauricio and Christian, came out HOLDING THE SIDEVIEW MIRROR. I was flabbergasted, I could not believe it, I would not have been mad if the side view mirror fell off, but the fact that Kelly lied to me, essentially forced another employee to lie for her, and not even come out and have the decency to apologize or say anything to me was infuriating. Not only was my rate ridiculously higher than any other dealer I had spoken to, it was 11% higher than the mazda published rate. Some years ago I traded in my vehicle and they promised a low APR from Mazda. Next day they tell me the bank wants to charge 10% more interest, and my trade in was broken into and had the windows broken and radio stolen. Before I knew any better they had me sign the paperwork to take on the higher interest loan. I was younger and didn't realize they pulled the classic bait and switch. Before you go to the Crystal Auto Mall Service Department you should think twice and decide not to go. We were quoted a lower price than invoiced when we picked up our car. In addition, we still feel that the repair was unnecessary. Drove the car there because the brake switch was broken for the fourth time in one year. They called and said the car could not be driven and it was dangerous and needed an expensive repair. The service advisor Aaron was very nice even though he can't remember what he quoted us on the phone. He actually got it wrong two times even after the repair order was completed. I had never bought or leased a new car before so as a first timer I had a lot of questions even after doing a lot of research. Crystal Mazda had great reviews on dealerrater.com so I decided to go here; they also had the Mazda 3i I wanted in a variety of colors to choose from. When I got to the dealer, I asked for William Hamilton since he had great reviews, and I'm so happy I did, he was just simply the best. I wanted to fully understand everything, leasing implications, fees, maintenance and all that complicated paperwork stuff before deciding on what I wanted and even before test driving. Bill was very informative and patient; he answered every question and explained everything in detail with no rush. He was very personable and made me feel very welcome, kinda like I had been going there for years. When I decided to test drive the car, he was very knowledgeable on the car's specs and features. When it came down to talk about numbers, Bill and Alex Jimenez were very mindful of what I wanted and what I was able to pay, they were very flexible and I was able to get a very fair price for the car I wanted. They were never pushy, aggressive or condescending, like most sales people usually are. I am very happy with my lease and the excellent customer service they gave me. Bill really goes the extra mile for his customers, after finishing all the paperwork he showed us how to work with the car's Infotainment system, and how to link my iPhone with the car to play my music, pick up calls and all that tech stuff. I called and told them what I wanted in terms of the car and the features and the payment and they had a car waiting for me when I got there to test drive. I had an appointment for 5:50. I arrived maybe 2 minutes late thanks to traffic, pulled up to the service portico, and found nobody at the service desk. I waited a couple of minutes, then went into the dealership to the cashier to ask for help. She paged the service rep, so I went back to the service desk, only to wait another 10 minutes with nobody at the desk. I went back to the cashier, who said she had just seen the service rep, then paged him again. Another 5 minutes waiting, and finally the rep shows up. He starts checking me in, but interrupts the process twice to help people picking up cars. Finally, my car is checked in and I sit down to wait. I watched as the rep came out to the waiting area to let another customer know that her car was ready, but when my car was ready, he just stepped outside the room and yelled my name. In short, the work was done, but their customer service skills need work. read more
