People always talk about how dealerships do nothing but try to swindle you into paying too much for…read morea car. And in the past i have dealt with dealerships that were not understanding or even listened to my needs. A few years ago, i went to greenbrook because i was looking to buy a gmc acadia. New or used, its a car ive loved for a long time. The salesman i encountered was Lance. He sat and talked with me and my boyfriend (now my ex). He asked me a lot of questions about my life, my profession, my family life. He was very friendly and wanted to make sure i truly knew what i wanted. After awhile he showed me around a few cars, and i test drove one. We ran some numbers and unfortunately at that time i could not purchase a new vehicle, but i always remembered how respectfully Lance had treated me and decided that when i was in a better position financially, id come back to greenbrook. This past may, i started car shopping again. One friday, late afternoon, i drove to a dealership just a few miles from Greenbrook and i spoke with a salesman and test drove a very nice car. They gave me a great quote on it as well. After leaving there, i drove down the road to greenbrook. My friend and i arrived probably just a few mins beforr they were closing for the evening (we actually didnt know until later. The never made mention of that). Ernie baptista was the salesman that evening. He did just as lance did a few years earlier. He listened to me, asked me questions, and then we test drove. We ran numbers, i got a quote. I had some things i needed to take care of before fully committing to any new car, but a few weeks later i came back in, had a down payment ready. There were a few hiccups from the car i had owned that i was trading in, but after all was said and done, Ernie and the managers at greenbrook gave me a pretty good price on the EXACT Acadia i wanted. I gave my down payment and made arrangementa to pick up my car a couple of days later. The entire car buying process was so utterly painless. I know people that have spent entire days at dealerships, and i don't think i spent more than a few hours over the course of anfew days with Ernie. Plus he gave me his personal cell number in the event a situation arose. I just had my first oil change and it was free and completely painless. I scheduled it thru the gmc app and was in and out of the dealership in less than an hour. Greenbrook is such a lovely dealership. Professional and courteous, warm and friendly. I plan on doing a lot of business with them in the future and have told a lot of friends and family about my experience. Thank you all so much :)

They demanded that some other things needed to be resolved like transmission, differential fluid, 4 tires, wheel alignment and more. This is the second car I purchased from this dealership, and the last. Been with them for over 2 decades. Dealership has trended downward. Service department appear to be on commission and behave accordingly by deceit with a smile. I'm done with them. I will actively campaign against this dealership and report these findings to the Consumer Protection Agency, Better Business Bureau, Federal Trade Commission and the State Office of the Attorney General. Beware. Don't buy a car from or use them in any capacity.

However, after being kept at the dealership for over 3 hours, the commitment made on the sales floor completely changed once I was handed off to the finance manager. Additional charges and fees were tacked on at the back desk, directly contradicting the terms agreed upon with John and Ahmed. The staff was fully aware that I had just come directly from the hospital following the delivery of my baby and was completely exhausted. Instead of honoring the transparent terms we established upfront, the finance department took advantage of the situation, knowing I was too fatigued after hours of waiting to walk away and start the process over elsewhere. While I have the vehicle for the next 24 months, the lack of internal alignment, back-office pricing shifts, and disregard for a customer's time and circumstances guarantee that I will never do business with this location again. Buyers should demand every agreed-upon detail in writing before stepping foot into the finance office. Or just STAY away.

They have held my refundable deposit and kept in touch with me to stay in touch which makes me even more positioned to buy this vehicle from Exem. I am a skeptic of buy here pay here places but this one has seemed to be a positive and pleasant place to work with. I have not felt forced to buy quickly nor have they tore into me about the remaining deposit (just inquired) and thats professionalism at its finest to me. I buy my cars straight out cash from owners and don't mind fixing them up if need be, but exem has me locked in especially as they do have nice vehicles again imo. Check em out. This is not a paid advertisement lol, it's just someone happy putting in their two cents.

I paid 9K over sticker to them so I could get the car that quickly ! Since I got the car at the end of August, it has been a nightmare. I ordered the car with the hash mark decals which unbeknownst to me are dealer applied. When I picked up the car, it looked like they were applied by a blind man ! no 2 decals (out of4) were positioned the same and had bubbles all over. I live on Long Island and the dealer is about 80 or so miles away in the boonies of N.J. (a 1 1/2 hour drive each way). I had to wait 3 weeks the first time to get a loaner car. unfortunately I had to cancel the first appointment on 9/12 due to unforeseen circumstances. The soonest they could give me another loaner was 10/11. I took the car back and was told that they were sending the car to a body shop that was expert at applying decals. After 2-3 weeks I was told the new decals were defective and didn't adhere properly (pure bullshit). So now they they had to redo the decals the third time. Both times the dealer had to redo the decals, it took weeks just for them to get the replacements or so they said. When the car was ready I went to pick it up only to find that they screwed it up again. All along I asked them to get me the decals so I could have someone on L.I. apply them and have the dealer pay them directly for the work. finally after the third time they agreed. I've been waiting now for 3 weeks and still haven't received the decals. This has been the worst customer service experience I have ever had. My salesman has been for the most part minimally responsive to my texts and calls. The sales manager that finally agreed to let me get the work done locally, gave me his direct phone # and promised to make this right, has not responded once to multiple calls and texts. I visited a…read morenumber of different used car dealerships, and had, frankly, terrible experiences with the others. I was jerked around, bait-and-switched, told that certain advertised prices were only available if I financed, and given every other run-around in the game. Then I got to Cartopia, where I was welcomed in, handed the keys to the car I was interested in (which was perfectly cleaned and maintained - honestly, it looked like a new car), and offered a test drive within five minutes of arriving. When I came back and expressed an interest in buying, Cartopia held true to the advertised price, even though I was paying in cash. Yes, there were hidden fees - not only tax and dealer fees, but also an expensive documentation fee, and a $2000 inspection fee that I still don't totally understand. But the car was so well-priced that even with those added costs, I still paid a very fair price, at or below market value. And, again, the car was spotless, inside and out, so I'm assuming most of that went to repairs or maintenance, which was done well. Most importantly, there were no hard-sell tactics, and I never felt pressured to make a purchase I wasn't comfortable with. All of this is to say: if you see an Autotrader or Cars.com listing for Cartopia, know what you're getting into, and expect to pay an extra couple thousand dollars over the list price, but you can feel comfortable that you're still getting a fair deal from decent folks.
