I used to have a lot of anxiety going to the dentist because of past experiences, but seeing Dr. Crystal Ladhar has been a completely different experience. Her office is located right on the San Jose/Saratoga border, which is very convenient to get to from the freeway, and there's plenty of parking. The office itself is very clean and has a calm, welcoming feel when you walk in. The staff is always friendly, and Dr. Ladhar is great about explaining what she's doing during the appointment, which really helps put you at ease. She's also very gentle and considerate if you have a sensitive mouth, which I really appreciate. I also want to mention that the pricing has been in line with what I was paying before and in some cases very reasonable. I had Invisalign done and purchased bleaching gel through the office and felt both were priced fairly. If you're someone who gets nervous about dental visits, I would definitely recommend Dr. Ladhar. read more

Just wanted to update my review of this awesome place. Dr Grundman retired and they have a new dentist Dr Ladhar And it is now called Ladhar & Cutler DDS. Same great place, awesome service. The new Dentist is wonderful. She's very personable, professional and very thorough and easy to talk to. Had my six month follow up cleaning and x-rays this week and Dianne did my cleaning again this time, and she is so sweet very professional and also very thorough . Left there with pearly whites! The girls who run the reception area are great. Also, they're on top of it always never have a hard time getting an appointments. This is my forever Dentist, this place is so great.! read more

With all the 5 star reviews, this feels odd ... but a few things here. I am very unhappy at the overcharging. I was told I was going to get some more extensive work done due to an issue I had with my teeth. They continued the extensive work every time I went without explaining that I would be charged more. Each time I would be told "We will send it to you insurance" Naturally, I would just leave and think nothing of it until the bill came ... The last straw was when I booked an appointment 3 months in advance only to be told less than a week in advance that they had to cancel/move it. Reception is quite friendly, Dentists are OK, but this kind of treatment is awful. read more

When Dr.s Cutler and Grundman took over this dental practice from Bob Forsberg, we knew from day one we were in good hands. Their gentle manner, excellent knowledge and wonderful staff make this the office to go to. My husband and I have run the gamut on dental services, from cleanings to fillings, with bridges, and implants thrown in, they are just amazing. Shout out to Leah and Paula keeping our teeth pearly white. Noemi who is Dr. Grundmans right hand woman, and would probably hold my hand when I need a shot.To Melissa and Melanie at the front desk making sure we are all caught up on insurance and payments. I have been to almost 15 different dentists in my life, and none have ever compared to Dr. Cutler. I am embarrassingly wimpy when it comes to tooth and gum pain, but Cutler and his assistants have never failed to make me feel totally comfortable and at ease. Wow, this review is long overdue - like about two decades overdue! I normally only review restaurants - dentist office reviews are not sexy lol but I want to make an exception to write about Dr. Cutler. Dr. Cutler has been our dentist since the beginning of time. Like close to 20 years. It feels like the beginning of time! It's very rare to find any Yelp review with a solid five-star rating. It's such a pure find. Everybody that posts a review here is on board - saying the same praiseworthy things about Dr. Cutler, Dr. Grundmann and his office. Not a single hater amongst the reviews which is really unusual. Take a minute or two to scroll through these five-star reviews - people are just gushing with praise about Dr. Cutler and his staff. Yelpers are running out of adjectives...fantastic...the best...excellent...my dentist for life and the list goes on. One Yelper says it so well, "the nicest, most professional and knowledgeable dental office". I couldn't say it any better than that. These people are not exaggerating. I'm a newer patient of Dr. Cutler's office but after multiple fillings and a crown for a broken tooth over the past couple of years, wow-- I'm impressed. I came in with pretty severe dental anxiety after the last Bay Area dentist I saw traumatized me, so it had been four years since a check-up and my teeth weren't in great shape. I was referred to Dr. Cutler by my husband's family who have been seeing him for over 15 years. Dr. Cutler's office is out of network for me, but given my past mediocre (at best) experiences, I bit the bullet-- and I've never been happier about spending more money on my health. Here's everything I appreciate, especially compared to my previous experiences: 1) I like when medical professionals are encyclopedic, but they seem rare: Dr. Cutler fits the bill, as he is extremely knowledgable. I tend to ask a lot of questions and he always takes his time providing a detailed explanation of the treatment and process. You can tell he really loves educating his patients and helping them make informed decisions about their health. He even got me to start flossing, which I thought was a real miracle at first, but turns out it's just his terrific knack for education :-) 2) Dr. Cutler makes the anesthetic shot completely or nearly painless; I can only recall one other dentist I've been to who was that good. The shot used to be my least favorite part of the process (crying in the chair at my last dentist, it was so painful) and significant barrier to me coming in for treatment, and that's no longer the case with Dr. Cutler. 3) Dr. Cutler and his assistant are really focused and no-nonsense, and they always explain what they're going to do and why. I've had dentists who talk endlessly with their assistant about their personal lives as they're drilling away and it makes me nervous. 4) Appointments always start on time! I am so used to waiting ages in other dental offices just for someone to show up that I thought that was something normal I just had to deal with. 5) I have never had a thorough scrape-down of my teeth like what I got at my last cleaning lol. It's a bit unpleasant, but worth it, especially since my teeth looked significantly whiter -- and stayed that way. My husband has an issue with tartar and his teeth also always look great after his cleanings too. 6) The office stuff is very professional and you get plenty of appointment reminders. Melanie is wonderful at helping schedule and put together treatment estimates, and listens to concerns with real empathy. Other offices I've been to have been disorganized, understaffed, and impersonal. TLDR: My last dentist gave me severe dental anxiety, and Dr. Cutler and his office cured me plus got my mouth back in shape so I can take my chompers with me to the grave. Woo hoo!! read more

Well here I go again. I've been going to this dental office since I had my 4 wisdom teeth pulled at another office that didn't do the greatest job. So I switched to my new favorite dentists doctor's Cutler and Grundmann the matter that I had to coming to this point was because I couldn't trust any dentists to touch my teeth because of the time and pains I had from my wisdom teeth but since then I've gotten my trust back for my new dentists and all of the new friends that work there with them. It takes a lot of work and they do the best job in my opinion.
