I've been a patient of Dr. Larson for many years. The office has all the latest technology such as being able to make their crowns in house rather than sending them to a lab. I just came across this review and so I wanted to give an update. My front tooth that has the filling now (due to having a HUGE cavity in my tooth), is still doing great and looking fantastic. You literally cannot tell that I ever had a work done by a dentist on that took. It was one of the best decisions that I could ever make, regarding my teeth, in coming to see Dr. Larson! Visited Dr. Larson's office for the first time today (found them via Yelp/Google reviews - thank you to those who took the time to post reviews!). All I can say is what a great impression they have made! Dr. Larson, his staff (Sonia, Jen, Victoria - I didn't get the others' names but I include them in this review) are simply LOVELY people. They truly made my office visit such a memorable experience - dental visits are not most people's cup of tea, but trust me: you will forget about the pain and discomfort because they are THAT GOOD. Not only is Dr. Larson and his staff kind, friendly, and FUNNY!!!, they are very thorough in explaining what they are doing and what dental work needs to be done. Dr. Larson and his team are AMAZING! I hadn't been to the dentist in years, likely more than 6 years. Because of Covid I was having a really hard time getting into my previous dentist and called a few other places, but everyone was booked weeks to months out. I found Dr. Larson on Yelp and called to see if they were accepting new patients. The team that booked my appointment was amazing, so accommodating and was able to get me in the following week. I wasn't experiencing any pain or anything but was anxious to get a cleaning and back on track. When I arrived everyone was super friendly. The office was extremely clean. The dental hygienist (Jen, I believe) was awesome, did a great job with my cleaning and was gentle. She was also very personable and was chatting with me which helped to keep my mind off of the uncomfortable parts. Dr. Larson himself was great- again super friendly, I ended up needing a couple of fillings and they got me in the very next day and he did beautiful work and honestly it was pain free. If you are looking for a new dentist in the Campbell area look no further- you won't regret it. read more

5.2 repeating decimal! DR Larson.........................is super careful and you can tell very skilled at his work! I had the same well respected much liked dentist for decades in Sunnyvale and he recently retired. I wondered if I could find another family dentist to do all the facts of medical care comfort we needed as a family- "I found it!", ---here! I went online and Yelped local dentists in Campbell and found Doctor Larson's website tutorial interesting and informative. I could see he was a state of the art competent dentist, (plus he eats sushi-2 extra points*). I had two fillings today and my daughter had one as well. Even though I will have to pay some money out of pocket to use this office it's worth it to me. 1) They have good communication all the e way around and are both professional and personable. 2) My wife went first a couple of months ago as our family "test" taking one for the team girl and highly approved. 3) The office is comfortable 4) They text, e-mail, courier pigeon and special delivery you concerning appointments and follow up. 5) He was particularly careful with each dosage in the injection(s) to prevent hours of gum chewing and slurred speech. My old dentist used the same amount every time...I could tell and I asked him! I found this especially careful and in expertise of his skills! 6) They inform you of each part of the procedure......if you have 15 cavities and you go here, my guess is after 13 you could apply as a dental assistant via the knowledge acquired during all the procedures.( Akin to Doctor John Doe of St.Elsewhere*). 7) He is proficient and the amount of time it took to do procedures I had had before due to my own poor teeth care regiment was about HALF of the past. In conclusion~~ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I highly recommend and will use this office and Dr. Larson for now on and recommend if you live in the area You do as well! Very friendly dentist, all the staff are friendly as well! I had to change my dentist because eventhough the work was good, her vibe was not. I was apprehensive because I had the kitchen-sink worth of dental work in my mouth - crowns, bridges, etc. But I was reassured once I went to Dr Larson. His dental hygienist was a bit of a perfectionist (lol could ease up with the cleaning a bit), but she knew how to get you to get through it. I have been a patient of Dr. Larson since the late 1990's when I moved to California. Dr. Larson is an incredible person and an amazing dentist. And his staff rocks! I love when I have an appointment to be able to see Dr. Larson and his staff - they are like "Family" to me - I feel as if I have "grown-up" with them! I also love how his staff interacts with each other - there is a keen sense of professionalism, respect and genuine caring - so unique in this day and age. I've been seeing Dr. Larson for more than 15 years. His office is convenient, clean and chock full of the most modern dental equipment. Much of his staff has been with him for the long-haul which says something: he treats his staff and his patients with respect. My cleanings are always thorough and from the most friendly (and cute!) hygienists. I recently had a filling (first one in more than 10 years), and although you can't get away from that damn Novocaine needle, Dr. Larson has a special touch and technique which makes it a pain-free process. This is by far the best dentist I've been to. It doesn't hurt that one of my best friend's is a dental hygienist here but she recommended I move to this office after she had worked here awhile and I'm extremely happy that I did. Most hygienist's work at a few different offices each week so it's saying a lot that out of all her offices she said to come here. Dr. Larson is very honest when it comes to recommendations of what you need done. If you need something done he'll tell you but if it can wait he'll let you know. For example, I have 2 veneer's(sp?) I had done years ago I'd like to eventually replace and then have 2 other teeth done so they match a little better. He said to wait bc the two veneer's I have are in great shape still and will last a good many more years. Most dentists would hear 4 veneer's and see $$$ and say "oh yeah, you should get all those done right now". We all know going to the dentist is expensive - it seems whether you have insurance or not anymore - but nothing here is over-inflated in cost. And for the level of care you will receive I really feel he could be charging more because you are getting more than your money's worth. Everyone in the office is extremely friendly too and they'll remember who you are whether they are your hygienist or not! You should go here if you're looking for a new dentist!!! This is about my 5th dentist in the bay area in 7 years (but have been here now for 2 at least) and I have no plans of changing. read more

Dr. Larson and his staff are just awesome! I've been going to him for almost 20 years, and both of my kids are now his patients, too. My 15 year old son has a phobia about needles. When he first started seeing Dr. Larson, he needed to be numbed - I don't remember the reason. I have been a patient since 1999! After a not so pleasant experience with another dentist, I was referred to Dr. Larson by a co-worker and haven't left. His staff is wonderful, always smiling and inviting--they know me by name. Any work that I need done is explained in detail. He uses cutting-edge technology. Crowns are completed in one visit (no temporary necessary). I have a crown on my front tooth (broke it as a child) that matches my other teeth impeccably. Check-ups are always pleasurable (yes, pleasurable); I love feeling the spaces in my teeth after a methodical cleaning. My son is a patient as well. Years ago I took him to a pediatric dentist and was hesitant to move him but have not regretted it. Dr. Larson worked hand-in-hand with his orthodontist--who is also a perfectionist--ensuring that his mouthguard took care of both my son's grinding problem and met the orthodontist's requirements (keeping his $$$ smile aligned). Haven't had any fillings done for a number of years, but two of my older ones showed some signs of cavity problem under the filling. Saw Dr. Larson today, and what a difference the procedure was from other fillings in the past. Not the least bit painful, didn't feel anything from beginning to end and it went very quickly. I just got back from my first visit..it exceeded my very high expectations. I've lived a long time, and been to many dentists, and he is the best dentist I have ever been to, plus his staff is exceptional, the office is gorgeous, immaculate, soothing, and very high tech. I was convinced I needed veneers, and he said bleaching would be enough. He checked everything, even my thyroid, my lymph nodes, and my tongue! No dentist has ever checked more than my teeth and gums. Just don't tell everyone, I don't want him overbooked. Only go if you deserve it. read more

I really love Dr. Larson and his team. Everyone there is so friendly and when you go in, it's always the same staff and they all know your name and remember things about you. Dr. Larson is also a genuinely nice person that cares about his staff. He takes them to lunches, they have outings and treat each other like family. He even has Fridays off. He definitely cares more about work life balance and creating a positive work environment instead of working long hours to make an extra buck. He also isn't on a power trip because he is the boss which I have seen at other dental/doctor's offices. He treats everyone like family which I really do admire. This was the best experience I have ever had with an appointment. The receptionists were extremely helpful in making sure all the information was right. They explained all the options and I was greeted with a great smile. The nurse Sonia made me feel like I was at home.
