I came here to address a two sensitivity issue that I had on my rear molar, and they filled the two to prevent further sensitivity and to protect the feeling that I have the doctor was super friendly and very informative and descriptive of what was happening, which was a great experience! Having to go to the dentist is not my favorite thing to do. However, I chipped my front tooth on a pistachio, and within a week, my # 5 tooth attached itself to a jolly rancher...sigh. My smile is important to me, and I wanted to take care of it right away. Dr. McCleve's office in Los Gatos, was able to get me in the following morning. He shaped the sad looking , kinda brown piece of tooth I brought in, and it was cemented back in my mouth in less than an hour. Yay! About three weeks later, I had the chip fixed. Dr. McCleve and Tina, his assistant, work efficiently, and telepathically, I swear. She knows what he needs, and when, and he doesn't say a word. I found that comforting and fascinating, ha. Another appointment where I was in and out in less than an hour! I'm thrilled to have found a practice where the staff is organized, professional, and friendly. Do not use DDS John McCleve. DDS McCleve is negligent and out of date with modern dental practices. I was recommended to him for general dentistry and I had a front tooth that required an implant. My oral surgeon told me to instruct McCleve that he used a Nobel implant. DDS McCleve did not follow any of the instruction and my implant failed in 5 days and I nearly swallowed my crown. Do not use DDS John McCleve for crown work. There are many other good dentist out there. read more

Dr McCleve and his team are great! I started going here after I moved to Los Gatos and found them on yelp. The team here is easy to communicate with and helpful. I just called today to get a document as a previous patient and they sent it immediately. Their team always went above and beyond, which I think shows they really like their jobs. Their dental hygienist recommended that I get an electric toothbrush (no dentist ever told me that) and was super helpful in showing me how to use it and being transparent overall about my tooth health. She made a huge difference and now I've improved my brushing and overall tooth health. I forget her name (hopefully they can look it up) but I want to say thank you! She is the best! I recommend Dr McCleve and this office to anyone looking for a dentist in the los Gatos Area. Arrive early to find parking (they share their lot with a few other business'). I have always been afraid of going to the dentist due to some unnecessary and improper treatments in the past by other dentists. I put my trust in dr. McCleve and his staff and they took very good care of me while keeping in mind my fear of dentists. They were very kind, listened patiently to my dental woes, kept checking in on me during my first cleanup (after 4 years of avoiding going to the dentist it was in pretty bad shape) and restored my faith in them. I had teeth sensitivity on my lower incisor coupled with a receded gum (a previous procedure by another dentist left me with a healthy gum being removed to treat teeth sensitivity.) and he immediately referred me to dr. Baroudi for a root canal and gum grafting. I have never been more relieved in my entire life. His work speaks volumes and his staff is so friendly. Dr. McCleve helped me and has restored my faith in dentists. He will never recommend any unnecessary procedures and will take very good care of your teeth. My entire family goes to him and I will highly recommend him to my friends and family. read more

Dr. McCleve and his staff are the BEST. I wish I would have found them earlier. I have had dental issues for years every dentist I went to never addressed my issues and concerns. I would beg other dentists to pull a tooth. Always avoided pulling would try to repair. Yesterday my wish came true my tooth was finally extracted. My headaches gone and no pain. My regular dentist was on vacation and Dr. McCleve was the dentist the office referred me to. I had a veneer come off and got in early the next day. No numbing was necessary, but just sitting in a dentist chair causes my anxiety levels to come up a bit. I felt comfortable, welcomed and very much at ease within the first few minutes. The big test for me would be how things would go if I needed more involved dental work, but I'm not going to hope for that! Going by my experience today, I would definitely recommend Dr. McCleve and his dental office. 4 stars since I really didn't need much done and can't speak to more involved work. read more
