Things I look for in a dentist: they are knowledgeable, they are organized and responsive, and they don't expect me to answer questions while there are a bunch of contraptions in my mouth. Sheryl checks all 3 boxes for me. I've been going here for dental work since I moved out here 7 years ago and I don't think I've ever had to wait for my appointment unless I showed up ahead of schedule. One time she even anticipated a delay the next day and emailed me the day before suggesting I show up 15 minutes later. Sheryl is very responsive over email and always sends reminders so you don't forget your appointment. The office is always clean and comfortable. I've had several appointments between 2 and 3pm and not once have I been subjected to an awful 2:30 (tooth hurty) pun. Can't really ask for anything more from a dentist. read more

My previous dentist moved so I decided to try Dr. Ng. Her office is brand new. She uses the most up to date equipments and everything is so high-tech and fancy. So I got my cleaning done a few weeks ago and I was very pleased with Dr. Ng because she was so thorough and detailed. She really took her time to examine each of my tooth. My husband also went for a cleaning and got some fill-ins done a week later. He's very happy with the result as well. I had bad experiences with my previous dentist (who was a family friend) and I was in search for a new one that was more gentle and not messy when cleaning my teeth. My friend told me about Dr. Ng and after reading a couple of the reviews, I figured she sounded so great that I had to try her. She was so nice! And I was surprised she actually answered her own phone! She is very personable and definitely makes you feel like family. I have sensitive teeth but she was very gentle and thorough; she always made my comfort level a top priority. I was about to lose dental insurance through my mother so I was looking for a good dentist to continue with on my own. I really appreciated Cheryl going above and beyond to help me work out my insurance coverage in a promptly manner. Even without coverage, she was very flexible in trying to arrange other pay options for me. Aside from her great customer service, her office looks very neat and her tools are state-of-the-art and non-invasive which I appreciated. (My previous dentist used to shove a huge machine against my cheek to do x-rays which was really annoying.) Since getting my braces off a year ago, I've only been seeing my orthodontist. I was in desperate need of a new dentist office and I came to Sheryl after my mom went and loved it. Oh my word, seriously she the sweetest young lady ever. I think that is such an important characteristic when is comes to dentist's. Usually they are scary and are rough when working on your teeth. She so gentle and very informative if you ask her whats she's working on. The first day I stopped by, we discovered a cavity. She filled it, same day with no hassle. The office is extremely well kept, organized, and very quiet. I also loved how she had a light rock radio play lightly in the back round to drown out the terrifying sounds of the dental tools (is that what you call them?). The location is great too! It's very close to kinkos, trader joes, chase, nob hill, an orthodontist, and restaurants, etc - close to all other errands you need to run. If you ask her anything, she is more that willing to help you. I asked her about teeth whitening, and right there she gave me some awesome facts and even suggest a few things. She even ordered an amazing system for me to try that I just stopped by and picked it up today. If you need a new dentist, I would definitely recommend her. read more

When I moved up to Norcal, I was hesitant about going to the dentist because I had some bad experiences in the past when finding new dentists outside of my hometown. I went to go see Dr. Ng on the recommendation of my friends who raved about how great their experience was with her. When I got there, I marveled at how great Dr. Ng was! I have to agree with all the reviews- she is the nicest and gentlest dentist I have ever been to, and is so easy to talk to. I felt so comfortable going to her that I didn't mind coming back to get my cavities filled and recommending my fiance to her also after raving about her work and how technologically advanced her office was also. We switched to Sheryl Ng after being with our dentist in Santa Clara since I was a child. Our dentist was out of network but we were willing to drive far and pay because we loved that dentist. I live and work in Los Gatos and decided to look around for other more convenient options and found a gem in Dr. Ng. She was in our network and I first brought my 8 year old in to see her. I was thinking that this would be a true test. And let me tell you, my daughter was so impressed by the soft spoken, sweet lady that she is obsessed with flossing and brushing ever since. I then cracked a tooth and just had it partially replaced and my husband will be seeing her again soon for his dental needs. She is so gentle but when she works on you, you can feel her confidence through her hands. Her office is state of the art which is important to me now.
