I was referred to UENO Clinic by my general dentist, One Dental on Foxworthy, because I needed all…read morefour wisdom teeth removed and a dental implant. ** I want to preface, I have MAD ANXIETY with all dentists appts. CONSULTATION Honestly wasn't sure if I wanted to do it in multiple procedures or just get it all over with... I went in open minded. The consultation itself was quick & thorough. Watched about a 10 min vid on pros and cons of wisdom tooth extraction, had X-rays taken, and then met with Dr. Reed Rayher and the team. Dr. Rayher was super chill and easy to talk to. He made a few recommendations, answered my questions. I felt comfortable enough to say, "Just knock me out and do everything at once." He also talked to me about using a healing treatment made from my own blood (I have absolutely no idea what the technical name is, so don't quote me ), but it's placed into the extraction sites to help promote healing. My response? "Fk yeah." Anything to recover faster. Now... the one major hiccup. I had planned everything around this surgery.. time off work, my ride, meal prepped, prescription picked up, and even started the required antibiotics and diazepam before the procedure. Then, about three hours before my appointment, I got the call that it had to be canceled because Dr. Rayher was sick. I was fuming. I worked up all the nerves for the procedure just for it to not work out. I definitely cussed up a storm on the phone w/ nurse/clinician. While apologizing for my foul language because I knew it wasn't their fault. Just really an unfortunate situation. Despite that, the team did everything they could to make it right. They got me rescheduled as quickly and the nurse/clinical even took the time to talk with me about the antibiotics that was making me feel awful. They helped switch me to a different antibiotic (thank you... I really hate amoxicillin). && incredibly thoughtful gesture, they also comped my sedation because of the cancellation. They absolutely didn't have to do that, but it meant a lot and showed they genuinely cared about the inconvenience I experienced. Fast forward two weeks... procedure day finally arrived. Same 9 yards. Prepped on the prescription medicine, my ride, meal prep. By the time I got there, the diazepam had already kicked in... I wish I remembered (or asked ) everyone's names because every single person I interacted with was incredibly kind. The assistant who brought me back.. so sweet. Got me hooked up to all the monitors, and even brought me a warm blanket. One thing you probably don't even realize made a huge difference: you narrated everything you were doing. As someone with dental anxiety, hearing "I'm putting this here..." or "I'm going to hook this up next..." kept me from getting startled. That simple communication helped me more than you know. Then Dr. Rayher came in with another staff member.. so I knew it was about to start and my anxiety once again was through the roof cause I know it was about to begin. Not to mention once the sedation started... ive never done this sort of thing. I was definitely panicking... to the point where at one point, I actually pulled my oxygen mask off. I WANTED OUT of that chair. ‍ Whoever gently rubbed my forehead and reassured me--thank you. (I think he mentioned dirt bikes at one point? ). Seriously. That small act of kindness grounded me so much in that moment. Dr. Rayher also continued talking me through the sedation process instead of just doing everything in silence. Again, as someone with anxiety, hearing what was happening made such a difference. Finally, to the person who wheeled me out afterward and patiently went over all of my post-op instructions with me: thank you. Waking up loopy wasn't super fun but your warmth, patience, and friendly voice made the experience so much easier. Overall, this place exceeded my expectations. I'm now recovering from having all four wisdom teeth removed and a dental implant placed, and so far everything has been going really well. I have my 1 week follow-up and my 3 month implant check coming up. This time im looking forward to it while being coherent. If you're fortunate enough to get referred here, I would absolutely recommend UENO Clinic and Dr. Reed Rayher without hesitation. 10/10 experience. Thank you to the entire team for taking such great care of me.

I repeatedly asked when I would be able to…read morespeak with a doctor because I had questions and concerns, but that opportunity never seemed to come. Appointments felt rushed, and I left without the information I was seeking. The assistants were kind and professional, but I expected more direct communication and involvement from the doctor overseeing my care. At one visit, I was told a doctor would be examining me, but that never happened. For the amount charged, I expected a much higher level of patient care, communication, and attention. Patients should feel informed, heard, and able to have their questions answered. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I would not return and would not recommend this practice based on the lack of communication and overall patient experience.

I spent a lot of time looking around for the best office for me and decided on this practice. My periodontist here is Dr. Chan, and he is the most kind and thorough periodontist. He answered all my questions and concerns during my consult, and even took the time to write me an email answering further questions that I had after my consult. I would also like to thank the care coordinator, George, and the receptionists, as well as the techs and hygienists for being so friendly and making me comfortable. I am fairly young in my age so the idea of getting multiple gum grafts was very scary to me but everyone was so nice and reassuring. My gum graft procedure day was very smooth and my recovery pain only lasted the first 3 days. I had a follow up appointment with Dr. Chan today and it was so relieving to hear that everything is healing well and the grafts took. I'm looking forward to my next 6 week post-procedure appointment and plan to do my other gum graft sites at this practice as well. Thank you to Dr. Chan and this office!

I generally avoid leaving negative reviews for local businesses, but I felt a responsibility to…read moreshare my experience so others can make informed decisions. While Dr. Low may be a skilled periodontist, I will not be returning to this practice for several reasons. First, the billing department's timing cost me financially. I had an expensive deep cleaning done at the end of the year and repeatedly asked to pay before December 31st so I could utilize my remaining FSA funds. They insisted they would mail the bill, but didn't send it until the following year. Because of this delay, I lost my previous year's FSA funds and was forced to pay out-of-pocket the next year when my new FSA cap was exceeded. Second, this is minor, and kinda funny. The front desk vibe is a bit much. The young staff wears heavy makeup and super thick, caterpillar-like fake eyelashes, and they match that dolled up look with a snob attitude. They talk down to you, lack basic conversation skills, and just mindlessly repeat "no worries" to almost anything you say. The main reason I am not returning, however, is a complete loss of TRUST. I spent $500+ for consult and xrays at this office just so Dr. E. Low (younger guy) can tell me that I need a highly invasive, expensive oral surgery. Then, I was immediately ushered to a finance coordinator to sign consent and put money down. It felt excessive (GREED) and extreme, I sought a second and third opinion, both of which confirmed that a far less invasive, or even over-the-counter, treatment should be tried first. By the way, 1.5 years later, my gum situation have improved with the less invasive and over-the-counter solutions recommended.

I cannot take narcotics, and I'm very careful whenever anybody wants to do anything that might require a painkiller. Doctor Gallez was able to tell me how we could work with Tylenol and Advil and have it kill as much pain as a narcotic could without me having problems. It works like a charm. I also cannot have alcohol in my mouth, so they always have hydrogen peroxide for me to clean my mouth with. And I also can't take most antibiotics. (I know, I know -- my body's weird.) So he figured out how to have me use a non-alcoholic antibacterial mouthwash with chlorhexidine in it, so I wouldn't have to take antibiotics and wouldn't end up with an infection in my mouth after the implant. He is caring, intelligent, funny, did an extremely good job on my implant. He's just amazing. I would have my mom or my child go to him in a heartbeat. In March, I made an appointment for May 28th as a first time client. Shortly after scheduling, I received a text asking if I'd be interested in an opening sooner to which I replied yes. I was really hoping to have a good dentist 5 minutes from my house but no such luck. I was not interested in rescheduling as I completely lost trust in this office.
