As someone who has had numerous terrible experiences with other dentists throughout the years, I could not be more happy with Dr. Cho and his work. He is professional, personable, and does a great job. I've had several dental procedures done by him and he's fixed all of my problems. He really listens to you as a patient and tried to find the best possible solution. His receptionist Bridgett is also great. She is very friendly and remembers you each time you come in for a cleaning or procedure. This office makes you feel like family in the sense that they care for you and your well-being. Great experience here over the years. Note that the practice changed hands around 2018. Dr. Cho is currently the only dentist (and owner), and I've felt like I'm in great hands since he came aboard and have not felt the need to change locations. He's very friendly, professional, and provides a great personal touch to each appointment. I feel like I get to see more of him than I did the dentists in other practices I've been to over the years. He keeps up with the latest in dental technology and also tries to keep in tune with what his customers are looking for and incorporating that feedback into his practice. Michael Cho is quite simply the best dentist I have had! He is caring and knowledgeable and explains in simple terms what is going on with my teeth. He shares all possible treatment options, including the pros and cons with each one, helping me to make an informed decision when it comes to my oral health. He is upfront with his costs, which are also very reasonable. His staff is always welcoming and warm. And, as a bonus (because he knew I am a budding gardener), he shared some of his extra tomato plants starts with me :). After going through several dentists over several years, I am grateful to finally have one as skilled, trustworthy, and kind as Dr. Cho. If you are anywhere near the Renton Highlands, I highly recommend choosing Dr. Cho for your dental needs. I came here for an extraction to see Dr. Lee and was pleased with the service and the way they made me feel welcomed. Visiting the dentist isn't always the most glorious experience, said anyone. I haven't been to Crystal Dental in about 3 or 4 years due to insurance changes, but because of chance, another insurance change has brought me back here. The ownership has changed and new to the clinic is Dr Michael Cho. I simply cannot say enough high remarks about his overall professionalism and his incredibly genuine kindness and honestly to his patients! I will never dread or fear another dental appointment! For the first time I'm my lifetime, I am looking forward to my next appointment and Dr. Cho's wonderful personality and amazing service! I really can't believe I'm saying this about a dentist. These guus deserve the compliments they get!! I went there for my cleaning and routine exam and payed only 50$ for it through a Groupon deal they had going back then. They were very thorough amd professional, yet fun and helped me relaxed. I even found myself laughing in the middle of the cleaning process. Dr. Chris and Kayla are super nice, friendly and patient and made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. I went there again for a couple more fillings which weren't expensive at all and they also gave me an extra 30% discount since I don't have a dental insurance. Do not come here!!! Unless you want to have a different dentist fix their mistakes and have them make you feel like an inconvenience for your problems then yes this place is perfect! Crystal Dental was recently bought by Dr. Cho. (Dr. Jane & Dr. Lee are not there anymore.) I started before the change of hands but will continue to go as long as I'm in the area and will shamelessly recommend him to anyone. The entire dental staff at this office is wildly incompetent. I had a tooth extraction and bone graft scheduled to be done at the same time. During the procedure, the assistant appeared to have no idea what any of the tools the dentist wanted were called. Communication between the two eventually devolved into grunts and pointing in order to get anything done. After the extraction was complete, the dentist leaves the room in order to find the materials for the bone graft. There were no materials available. The procedure that was scheduled was impossible to complete. Nobody checked before I had a gaping hole in my mouth whether it was even possible to do what they promised. Fortunately, this kind soul decided to do what's right, and did everything in his power to fix the situation immediately. Just kidding, my appointment to fix his mistake, restart the recovery process, and add another round of risk of complication on my mouth is four days away. I will not be returning. Nobody I know will ever be returning. If you have to come here, stick to the cleanings. read more

I don't condone anybody to have services here with these people; but in regards to a couple of things I dealt with made me very uneasy and skeptical and my trust in them became at a 0% trust. It had nothing to do with the Dr. Michael Cho and his wife wheresoever. They are really nice respectable people with an enormous amount of education to do the job to perfection without a doubt in my mind. It was their receptionist that caused the problem. She was a very nice lady overall; but she would say one thing and say another later that went against the first thing she said in the first place. Would you like to be told on your first visit there that if you don't call ahead 24 hours that you can't make the appointment it will cost you $75.00 dollars and the next day she tells you if you don't call 48 hours ahead of your appointment you will have to pay $75.00 dollars. Don't talk that trash to me from 24/48 later. That is why Dr. Michael Cho lost me for a customer, especially when I did call to cancel my appointment to say I had to go the the Hospital because I was peeing blood worse than before. I let Dr. Michael Cho know on my first visit when he took X-Rays that I was having Kidney problems and peeing blood. Dr. Michael Chohis receptionist and I kept going back and forth with emails when I should have gone to the hospital in the first place when I cancelled the appointment. Thank God it wasn't serious or I might have bled out and died dealing with his receptionist. read more

I consider myself to be a fairly quiet and patient man but the service that I received from this clinic was beyond unacceptable. The woman at the front desk, I apologize that I can't recall her name, was one of the rudest people that I have ever encountered in a healthcare setting. She was tall, kind of a big girl, and she had reddish hair. She treated me as though I was purposely wasting her time when all I was doing was inquiring about different prices and what forms of insurance that they accepted. She told me that maybe I should go somewhere else if I couldn't afford their prices (I never told her what I can or can't afford) and she even offered to show me to the door. When I asked to please speak to a manager, she laughed and told me the she was the manager and that now it was time that I leave. Money isn't an issue for me and I don't dress like I live on the streets so I don't understand where any of this attitude came from. I was recommended to this clinic by a business partner but I can without a doubt assure you, I will never be back. In fact, I plan to let as many people I know of this treatment I experienced as well as write similar reviews on various sites. No one should ever be treated like this woman had treated me. Review of the century here: Crystal Dental has actually won my heart today. Today I had the crown put on my implant, leading to the close of my very extensive dental care for the past 9 months. I'm 21 years old and never had the best dental care when I was younger. I went to the dentist, had traumatizing experiences, and never really cared about my dental health. Fast forward a few years and I had a previous filling fall out, had a root canal done for the tooth but never got a crown. That tooth became decayed and started falling out piece by piece. July 2014 I went into Crystal Dental to see what could be done with no insurance. The options weren't great or cheap. Jess was the first friendly smile I saw in the office and she told me about Dental Health Services insurance and I signed up right away and made my first appointment. Needless to say, I was nervous about going to the dentist in the first place but even more with a decaying tooth. The exam went great even with the tears and sobbing on my end. Dr. Lee was so incredibly understanding of my situation from start to finish. He explained the cavities, gum problems and last but not least what was going to need to happen with the dead tooth (implant was the final decision). I went home with a treatment plan and a lot of money budgeting to do. I was lucky enough to accept an inheritance from a family member just a little while after that. And I knew exactly what every penny of the money was going to. First few appointments consisted of getting the dead tooth taken completely out, both top wisdom teeth out, deep cleaning and fillings. Never once did I feel uncomfortable in the office or in the chair being worked on. Dr. Lee made sure that every step taken was the right step for my mouth and I. Kayla, Jessica and Lisa made my days coming in filled with laughter and good conversation. I left crying from the office on two occasions. The first day from the emotion of feeling like I was starting a really big process (I totally was), and today, where I left crying because I felt like a tooth where I hadn't for the past year and half. I left with an overwhelming feeling of acceptance and accomplishment on my end and theirs. A "thank you" is never going to be enough for what each and every member of the team did for me. If you EVER need a dentist, Chris Lee at Crystal Dental is whom I would recommend. Kayla, thank you for being the happy go lucky person that you are, I adore you and will miss you so much for the next 6 months. Also, a shout out to Jess, who put up with my insurance company.
