I had a teeth cleaning here recently, and it was the worst experience I've ever had. What a waste…read moreof time and money. I have lived in Seattle 33 yrs. Have had many professional proper teeth cleanings, this recent one was far from it. The two "hygienists" did different tasks but both seemed rushed, or just being careless, and missed 50% of my teeth. I am middle age, not 90yrs old, I could feel where your tools were in my mouth. Obviously I do not plan to return.

Wow. Just...wow. The new office manager has destroyed this business in my experience/opinion…read more Family of 4, the BEST dental benefits, my husband needed 3 crowns, my son and I needed invisalign, my daughter regular treatment, and based on my history there many years ago (5) I was sure they would take good care of us. My husband made apts for he and London to come in together. The office called to reschedule him and he thought that meant for her too. So they said London missed her apt, and told us we couldn't reschedule her till we paid a $50 fine. I was quoted 5K for each invisalign for myself and my son. I received an offer in the mail for $500 off (same price of 5K) so I asked if they would honor the coupon. Not only did they say no, they didn't even say they'd take say, $200 off, which I would have agreed to. They CHARGED my HSA card for $2,568.00, even though I told the office manager NOT to run my card till I got back to her. They not only charged my card, it was MONTHS after I told them "no thanks" that I found out they had done so, called to ask them to reverse the charge, and the office manager said "well, this IS your signature on the form, right?" - I actually had to argue with her, and remind her I'd told her to hold off, before she agreed to reverse the charge. Just checked my HSA account, and they WITHHELD $68. FOR WHAT?? Also, I'd contacted them via Text asking that I be able to speak to the dentist so I could voice my complaints. I never heard from my dentist. I would NEVER go back. I'm so disappointed. BTW, Tom Lee, DDS is just across the street from them, and has been amazing. We signed the forms to have dental records sent to him (since all of us received xrays just weeks prior to switching to Dr. Lee), and they withheld the records!! BTW, the Orthodontist Dr. Lee works next door to has been taking care of our Invisalign needs. So I'm happy with the way it worked out - but I really had wanted to use Fairwood Dental. And I would have liked them to behave with a little more integrity. I'd like my $68 refunded, but I'm so tired of dealing with the office manager, I'd rather just eat it than ever talk to her again.

This review is for the Comfort Dental Kids - right next door…read more It was for my child's first dentist appointment, and we met with Dr. Lucas. All staff that we interacted with were great. Dr Lucas was very quick with the fluoride and tooth brushing - I think it must've only taken 30 seconds. He was also detailed in his explanations and answered all my questions. Before the appointment, they sent a link with the forms to fill out ahead of time. They also sent several reminders and were responsive over text. They do have a fee if you arrive late more than 15min ($50). For first time appointments, they require the parent to be there with the child, which seems pretty reasonable to me. I think I'll likely be there during every appointment until my child gets older. I loved that the waiting area had lots of toys and books for the kids. I only wish the TV was turned off. Before they even have a chance to play independently, kids are distracted by the TV with audio on. The day we visited they were playing Wreck it Ralph. When the child doesn't have any cavities, they get their photo taken by Polaroid and are added to the "Cavity Free Club" wall (with parental consent). The family also gets a Polaroid to take home as well. This practice was referred to me by another dental practice which doesn't do pediatric dentistry. My child and I had a great experience, and I would recommend it to other parents.

After the procedure, I developed strong tooth sensitivity and constant irritation that I still feel to this day. At first, I thought it would go away, but it has been almost three months and the discomfort has not improved. I regularly get professional cleanings every six months (or once a year if needed), so I know how the recovery process should feel. In this case, it clearly did not go as it should, which makes me believe the cleaning was done poorly and without proper care. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this clinic. The experience was disappointing and uncomfortable.

I went to the office and was told I needed an expensive crown, I opted for a second opinion…read more The other dentist said that he could replace my filling instead, that was approximately 8 years ago. Still holding strong, Unfortunately before this I had referred my Mom to Dr. Lockets office and the told her the same thing, you need a crown. I was unaware of this and she preferred that they just pull the tooth. They talked her into the crown which became infected. Again she said pull the tooth and they again talked her (an elderly lady) into getting it corrected. The original infection had traveled into her sinus cavity and some which has had a health impact to her memory. I am very disappointed and disgusted. I wish I had known so that I could have stepped in on her behalft, they should have listened to her wishes of pulling the tooth!

We were patients of this practice for 10 years because we loved the care we received from Dr Ingle…read more I see other reviews that mirror that sentiment, but I also see reviews that reflect very different experiences now that Dr. Lockett has taken over the practice and I am not surprised by them. We had to part ways after a recent experience a few months ago where unneccesary procedures were recommended and performed on my wife that cost us almost $500 out of pocket. Each visit here we always feel like we are being sold something. My wife went in for a cleaning and was told she needed treatment for gum disease. Most importantly they said that our insurance, United Concordia one of the top dental insurers in the country, would cover it. 2 red flags here. The first is that my wife has near perfect dental hygiene with no history of any gum disease. The second is more of a red flag for this practice. My wife works in dentistry and she became extremely curious as to why they would recommend this procedure when she didn't need it. They rushed to get her back in for the first phase of the treatment but before the second phase she wisely cancelled her appointment after consulting with other professionals in the dental industry who also wondered why they were recommending this. Well I guess it came as no surprise when we received a bill for nearly $500 claiming that insurance would cover $0 of it after Dr. Lockett's office told us it would cover 100% of it. My wife's skepticism was confirmed as the explanation of benefits from the insurer read as follows... "Benefits for periodontal scaling and root planing are only available when there is evidence of loss of attachment due to periodontal disease. The documentation submitted does not demonstrate loss of attachment consistent with destruction of the periodontal ligament and loss of the adjacent bone support. Scaling calculus and bacterial deposits from enamel surfaces, whether supragingival or subgingival does not constitute root planing" Quite simply they are saying that it was an unnecessary procedure. I begged and pleaded with their front office and Dr. Lockett to reverse these charges since we were told this was necessary and insurance would cover it, but the majority of their communication around this was that if we didn't pay by a certain date then we would be sent to collections. Our family neighborhood dentist of 10 years was willing to lose loyal patients over roughly $470. This is just my experience which is what you are supposed to post on Yelp. I hope you have a different experience if you go here but I wouldn't recommend it.

I paid a large sum and was told I would have a credit on my account for future care. They told me they billed the wrong insurance, but nothing was done about it. Jody was there first and then Jackie came back from leave and every time I went in she told me she would take care of it. She told me to pay 1/2 of the bill and that she would talk to Dr. Lee and they would take care of the rest, due to miscommunication and billing. left thinking that my bill would be $0. She told me "don't worry about it, we will take care of it". I kept on getting bills with finance charges. I told them that this causes much stress and anxiety as I pay my bills in full every month. I talked to Dr Lee today and he asked why I didn't talk to him directly. I was told over and over that Jackie was going to talk to him. In my mind I thought that the office manager (Jackie) was in charge of billing etc. I trusted the process. I could go on and on about the notes I have over the past 3 years on the conversations. But it's no use in writing them here. I will pay my bill and I will be taking my dental care somewhere else that has clear communication. If you go there ask for your statements and make sure they are billing correctly. If you have any financial questions, ask Dr. Lee directly, do not go through office management. This entire scenario could have gone so much differently, but it is what it is.
