I left several messages in the middle of the night with no response to the following day in the afternoon. Heard back from Mr. Michael Laurence who is very condescending And told me that there was no smell in the room and he had three other people confirm that. He said he was not going to issue a refund and that it's not his fault that I had to sleep in my car because the room doesn't smell and that it must be me. I mention the fact that there was someone smoking crystal math in front of one of the rooms and he told me to mind my business. Do not stay at this place if you enjoy cleanliness and any shred of class. This place is not worth 150 a night and the service is not worth a single dollar. I generally don't leave bad reviews Especially when it's a family owned business but when the owner does nothing to make things right and just kind of blame things on you, it makes me feel that I need to bring awareness to this so it doesn't happen to you too. Pay the extra $50 a night and go stay at the Palms suites. it's literally a minute away. And as for Michael, shame on you sir ! Shame on you! We were able to check in earlier than the 3pm time given online. The girls and I went into the cutest room with whales painted on the walls above painted waves. We chose a double bed room. There were two beds, a small wooden table with two chairs, another wooden bench, a dresser, small fridge, and microwave. There is a vanity with a large mirror, and a tiny bathroom with a shower/tub and toilet. The room was clean, and very neat. We had plenty of towels, as well as extra blankets for each bed. The air conditioning was working great! This hotel has two different picnic/outdoor seating areas. One is outside the area where most of the rooms are. The other outdoor area is down at the other end of the property. They had chairs, picnic tables, a grill, and even bbq tools ready to be used. The girls played with beach balls, and we were able to just sit back and relax. Their hotel also has boat slips in a little gut out back. If you choose to bring your boat, they're ready for you! The lady/owner got us into our room and was so nice. She explained the layout, and rules of the hotel. (No pets, no smoking, quiet time began at 10pm). She was so sweet. This is definitely a family-run business and is geared toward families. There is beach access directly across the road, but we took the short drive down to the Fort Macon beach area. The Caribbe Inn is close to the Morehead bridge, many restaurants, stores, beach shops, and other places you might need while at the beach. We had such a nice stay, and enjoyed our time away. We girls ate out, played on the beach, slept very well at night, and had a great stay at the Caribbe Inn! We will be back!

We have found dirty underwear left behind and we have replaced AC filters and some problems with the AC working properly, but we have dealt with it. However, this year we booked Sunny Bunz because it clearly said that it was pet friendly and that is what we were looking for. Come to find out, in smaller print, it said no pets allowed. When speaking with someone at Spinnakers reach about this issue, they backed up the homeowner instead of us paying guests. It is clearly misleading to have pet friendly on a site and not allow pets. We would not have booked this house if we had known that it was not pet friendly as stated. The realty company said "that is part of a standard amenities category that identifies pet-related features that may be present at a property if pets are permitted. It is not intended to indicate that pets are allowed." I haven't seen this on houses that don't allow pets before. However, if you look up the meaning of a pet friendly rental property it clearly says, "When a beach rental is labeled pet friendly, it means the property allows pets." That statement has since been removed from the Sunny Bunz listing. I wonder why they needed to remove it since according to them, it doesn't mean anything. I will not be booking with Spinnakers any more due to these shady dealings and not sticking up for the paying renters. I tried to handle this in a nice way with choices of allowing the small pet or refunding my money to be able to book something else, but they wouldn't agree. Save yourself some trouble and book with someone trustworthy!
