The rental company is completely indifferent to any issues that arise and can affect your vacation…read more We specifically rented a house with a heated pool for the kids to enjoy this year since Sept is historically cooler. Only to get there and the heating pump be BROKEN and never fixed while we were there. We were told "well it worked yesterday when we tested it!" The part never arrived, we were there for a total of 7 days. We had to call each time to check on progress, they didn't even have the decency of communication. We paid a premium for this house BECAUSE it has the option of a heated pool (many do not in this neighborhood, we know because we went to each house that does last year specifically to pick this house for this year), they could not have cared less. No attempts to make it right, no attempts to remedy, just shrugged shoulders that "these things happen." For $8,000 for 1 week, these things should NOT happen or at minimum a pro-rated rate should have been honored. Also, belongings went missing from our driveway moments after their team pulled the trash bin up to the street. At first we gave benefit of the doubt maybe they thought it was trash? Nope, we were told we were the first people to "ever" accuse their team of theft.... so if it wasn't them it could have been the numerous other people using our driveway as a public access to the beach. If you want a fully private house, driveway included, DO NOT RENT WISHING WHALE. All the houses from the cul-de-sac used OUR driveway to access the beach the ENTIRE week. Not one day went by that a stranger wasn't strolling down our driveway to cut through to the next door house's beach access. Either way, feels like a rental/community issue as we leave things outside every single year, and never ever had anything stolen from us. This is the first year we've had strangers meandering in our driveway. Seems suspicious. We thought this was a safe community. At other homes we used to leave the doors unlocked during the day for ease of the family, NOT AT THIS HOUSE, NOT WITH A BABY SLEEPING INSIDE AND STRANGERS ACCESSING OUR DRIVEWAY ALL DAY. We will be returning to EI Realty where they actually care about their renters and ensure our vacation and money is very well spent. It's a shame, we had a great 6 summer run with Spinnakers and would have had 30 more. But the bad taste in our mouth has us wanting nothing to do with this entire community. Such a shame because the homes and neighborhood are absolutely beautiful, tucked away in our favorite part of the island. But you are only as good as the company who represents you. This year we arrive and find that the owner had put limits on the AC..and NO ONE had notified us, communicated with us.. NOTHING.! I thought I rented the Entire beach house ! Not just parts of it! ! We were stunned! This is a 4 story Beach house ,with 3 BR on the the 3 Rd floor! After a very hot, distressing night with very little sleep for all ,after the owner had " fixed" the controls . I had to go BACK to office the next morning ,to BEG Spinnaker's Reach and owner to help again. It was awful ! How did this happen that NO ONE spoke to me about this!????? BEFORE WE GOT TO THE HOUSE! We always been good guests. We do not leave the doors open. And I have gotten my deposit back each year! Like I said we have rented the same house for the Last years without AC controls!!!? The SR people did reach out to the owner again. And offered a portable AC unit for the bedroom that was the warmest. It has always been warmer than the rest of BR on the 3 floor! But what good would that have been for the rest of my guests? He did take off the all the controls the next morning ,! BUT I have been informed that next year!!! Temps only going down to 70?!? AT NIGHT!! . Be very AWARE. that this is happening

The only issue is there's a musty smell in the upstairs spare room so we didn't end up using it. The master bath had a bunch of silverfish come out when we turned it on so we decided not to use it. There were ants in the kitchen but after I mopped the first day I tried to keep them at bay. This didn't ruin the vacation I just think the storm did its number and that was a few of them for this home.

This is a Mold House! Due to negligent and deferred…read moremaintenance of this beautiful rental, mold grows abundantly. When we checked in I noticed the musty smell throughout but especially the top floor and lower level. During our stay, the air conditioning malfunctioned that supplied the top floor. Waited on maintenance for a long while to arrive for repair. Repairman arrived, said a line was clogged, said he cleared the line and left. Hours later, we noticed water coming from the ceiling on the top floor bathroom. Draining from the sheetrock, vent and lighting, running down the hallway sheetrock into the middle floor. The same repairman arrived again, said the sump pump malfunctioned, repaired it and left. Without notice, another repairman arrived who was actually an HVAC certified technician, who without his shirt on went into the house to check on the HVAC system. He said he made the necessary repairs and all was well with the system. While he was in the attic space working, I stayed nearby as he was working. So I got a birds eye view of the great amounts of black mold in the attic space. Mold on every surface within the attic space. It made me quite anxious and nervous for my adult children and grandchildren to sleep on the top floor, breathing the mycotoxins mold produces. No offer was made by Bluewater to relocate us, much less any sort of mold abatement done. No dehumidifiers, no fans. NOTHING! Furthermore, the kitchen cabinets are falling apart, the kitchen faucet is broken and leaks, the middle floor queen bath faucet is broken and the cabinet under the sink was very wet inside. The gutters are full, even have vegetation growing from them, a gutter was loose and beat against the house during wind, and raised nails on the decking are a danger for bare feet. Also, the rugs and carpeting are covered in pet urine stains. We paid nearly 15k for our family to vacation here for a week. It was no vacation. I spent many hours of my valuable family time dealing with the terrible maintenance of this house and awaiting maintenance to arrive, countless hours concerned for my families safety and the countless others who would stay in this hose after us. Bluewater Rental made no concessions to our family, Bluewater made no efforts towards mold remediation, nor did they even take note of all the issues I signaled regarding this rental property. I asked would they notify the owners and future quests. I got no response. Bluewater Realty is very poorly managed. Sea No Evil will make your family sick. Sure made my grandchildren sick. Sure caused me to have the worst vacation I've experienced in my 53 years. Oh! Also mold in the garage that's used as a rec/play room. Avoid Sea No Evil at all cost!

Bluewater stated that the dead roaches and living roaches were "palmetto bugs" and so everything was good. They sent someone out to spray that home and the roaches died. They refused to allow me to terminate the two month lease. 2026. I rented a home for January and February and this home has German cockroaches as seen in the photos. Now they're willing me to rent other properties that are not commensurate with what I rented. They're dragging their feet. I can take their two lesser properties or go home. Don't rent from Bluewater. Their customer service is awful.

Sparsely decorated, tiny television screens, mediocre dishes and cooking utensils, and less than average appliances. Outdoor furniture is old and rusty - leaves a lot to be desired. Mattresses and linens are below average quality. Charcoal grill does not have a cover and it is filthy dirty. Not worth spending more than a month's mortgage payment to come here.
