I would leave a negative number if I could! Tim Schwent, Chrystal Clear Pool, has been a horrible businessman. He has told us many "stories"-meaning many unfulfilled promises. He tells you exactly what you want to hear, but lacks complete follow through. Currently, we have a pool installed by him and his crew (although you rarely see him after you sign the contract), the liner is too big in some areas and too small in others. We've paid for a salt cell, pump/filter, handrail, vacuum, 3 LED lights, pool cover and we got nothing. Everything is someone else's fault! Also, he did not get any permits or inspections done on our pool. Save yourself money, heartache and stress and go with a more reputable company that someone else has used and had a pleasant experience. read more

This is a terrible company. I used them last year and they were OK. This year I scheduled them to open my pool well over two months in advance. As we got closer to the date I had not heard from them so I called them. Tim told me we were in the schedule and they would be there. They were a no show. I called Tim who is very hard to reach and he said if they were not able to get there that evening then they would be there first thing in the morning. That was 3 days ago. I've called. I've texted. I've emailed. Nothing. Not even a phone call. Life is too short to do business with people like this. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! We have been dealing with Tim and his company for nearly 2 years now. We used them to install our pool and it has never been right. Tim will tell you whatever you want to hear, how this guy is still in business is beyond me. If the BBB had any authority they would shut them down because the story is the same, he takes money and runs. I could go on and on about our experience but I will save that for the litigation we are going to have to go through with this joker. I have had a problem with my filter and called them out to fix the leak. They have been out twice and the problem still is not repaired. I left a message for the owner immediately after the second attempt was made and also requested a price to replace the liner. 30 days later I still have not had a returned call. We have used this company for pool opening and closing as well as weekly pool maintenance for 3 years. They have always been semi unreliable, but we kept using them because it wasn't a huge deal and there weren't many other companies to choose from in the area. Fast forward to this year. 2 weeks ago I contacted the owner, Tim Schwent and asked to be added to the schedule for a pool opening. He said how about May 15. I said great. May 15 came and went and at 7:30pm on May 15 I messaged him and said pool opening? He said that the guys were still out and if they didn't get to me that night, that I would be first on the list for the next day. Well, the next day came and by 1:30 pm my pool was still not open. So by this time, I was just tired of the total unreliability of this company and I messaged Tim and said to cancel the pool opening. He responded "ok". I found another company and scheduled with them. 2 hours later, my babysitter calls me and in my backyard is Crystal Clear pools with the cover off of my pool! Wow. They can't get anything right! So I message Tim once again and ask him to get his guys to stop because I had already hired another company. He didn't respond at all. When I got home, I went to check things out, the handrail to my pool was missing! I believe they took it. Crystal clear pool installed a new liner in my pool last fall making my pool look like new. Tim was professional, considerate and delivered on all promises. They were less expensive than other companies and installed the liner on time and all of the workers were professional. I have been using Tim and this company for several years. Tim Schwent, the owner, built a pool for someone who lives across the alley from me. His rock and dirt trucks, used my asphalt driveway without my permission to drive into and then back into his client's yard. He totally cracked my asphalt. Since April he has promised to repair it. I had gotten a bid of $875 to repair it. At first he procrastinated and now will not even answer my calls. Guess it's going to court. And the homeowner is so rude that when I tried to talk to them, they slammed their door in my face. Both are attorneys who think they can get away with this behavior. Dane from Crystal Clear Pool was super knowledgeable, friendly, helpful. Helped me with a pump not turning water over and a filter not doing its job. They were prompt and when I get my bill I will know how reasonable. :) I've already reached out to schedule another service call to get my filter changed out to a new one. read more

We used Crystal Clear Pool for our new pool construction last year. I do not recommend using them for new pool construction. The whole process took entirely too long, there was no communication, and we ended up having a leak in one of the lines that required them to rip out concrete. Now we have one section of concrete around the pool that is a different color than the rest. The owner said he would compensate us for the extra construction time, the leak, and the different color concrete. He told our landscaper and us that we would pay to have the Paver Stone walkway replaced due to his guys tearing it up. He then went back on his word and did not pay for it. I believe there is another company out there that is more customer friendly for new pool construction. read more
