Bill the owner of this lovely and efficient customization and car detail shop personally answered all my questions via phone, text, and seemed to have done the window tint and ceramic coating for my 2012 SLK (talk about amazing customer service and an honor!) Bill uses high-quality materials, he used Suntek for my 30% tint and made sure it was legal to drive in California (since I'm not too well-versed in car detailing and legal window tint shades at all). For the 7-year/lifetime ceramic coating, Bill used Opticoat Pro Plus over the body of my car, which has an amazingly smooth and glossy finish. He recommended Opticoat Glass Pro ceramic coating for my windshield and windows as well (to prevent high-speed rock damages on the freeway), which I happily agreed to get. I really appreciated all of Bill's thoughtful recommendations, especially knowing the weather up in the Bay Area where I'm originally from. All of these customizations together cost $1998, which is far less than what I had been quoted by certain shops back in the Bay. Also Bill's turn around time for coating and curing the car was less than 2 days for everything, whereas I had been quoted over a week back in the Bay (and with a much longer commute from where I live!) A year ago I bought a black 2016 Mustang from a local dealership. Unfortunately, when we bought the car it was covered with water spots and we didn't see that the paint had MILLIONS of small scratches and swirl marks that really detracted from the car in bright sunlight. It also had watermarks on the faux suede inserts in the seats. I recently took it to Crystal Clear to find out if there was anything I could do short of a repaint. They told me they could do a "paint correction" and they felt the seats should clean up fairly well. They gave me a price and we scheduled it for 2 days this week. I expected more for the $300 based on other reviews. The water spots were still evident on my car. The interior seats didn't get as cleaned as I hoped. It does smell great! It looks as though my car got a half-hearted effort. Areas where the wax wasn't wiped off. I had asked them to call me if it needed more to fix it, but no one called after the fact he did say "The only thing you can do is sand them down. We used compound to get them to that point which took off the top part of the water spot but the rest of them are already embedded into your clearcoat. They won't come out unless they are sanded off and we won't wet sand on anything that's that old. There's just not enough clearcoat left and we would end up cutting into the paint or making your clear so thin it would start peeling. I brought my beautiful, black, almost new truck to Bill for a second opinion, after I had it coated with Opticoat Pro Plus ceramic coating by another company in the valley, which they completely botched. While I didn't know much about ceramic coating at the time, I knew something didn't look right, though the other company's technicians had completed and signed off on the post-coating inspection. Turns out they did little to no paint prep on the black paint before coating, and coated the dust and imperfections right into the permanent ceramic coating on my paint. They insisted it was fine to coat my truck in my dusty gravel driveway, which is almost laughable now after visiting Crystal Clear Detail's shop and seeing their spotlights and detail/polishing set up. Bill (the owner) was helpful, patient, and extremely knowledgeable, and took the time to carefully examine the truck, explain every step and concern, and answer all my questions. He confirmed that my truck was covered in a significant number of high spots, with areas having not been coated at all. He did this for free, and encouraged me to work with the original company to get it fixed under their warranty, to save me additional costs. However, after getting pushback and attitude from the first company's owner, who insisted the original technicians come out to fix it (the ones who did a poor job in the first place, and did not seem knowledgeable at all about Opticoat), I returned to Crystal Clear Detail and agreed to pay whatever cost necessary to correct the botch job and recoat the truck correctly. Bill and his team took the time to fix and recoat the truck, and included coating on the windshield, tires, and interior. He did an unbelievably fantastic job, and my truck came out more beautiful than I had thought possible. He was able to fix the majority of the previous mistakes, though some were pretty much unfixable, such as the Opticoat that is permanently staining my door jams (which should have never been coated in the first place). Bill stands out in this business not only because he is extremely knowledgeable about auto detailing and Opti-coat installation/maintenance, but because he cares about the outcome of every vehicle he works on, and notices details and flaws that most people do not. After seeing how the paint and body turned out, I upgraded to ​Bill's​ ​black-out package (tinted windows, headlights, and tail lights, blacked out all chrome and tailpipe) with painted blue brake calipers. My black truck (my baby; and first new vehicle I have ever owned) is back to looking amazing, and I have never been happier. My 2015 Yukon Denali (black) had some oxidation on the hood. I went there on a recommendation from a friend. Branson took a look at the hood and said he could fix it but would start on the hood to make sure. I was told $600 for the entire SUV including the hood. When I brought it in he called a few hours later to say that he could fix the hood but it would be $700 because of the extra time needed for the hood. I said to go ahead and do it. Two days later Branson called and said that the oxidation started to come back right after they worked on the hood and would need to put some sort of coating (not clear coating) on the hood to stop it from oxidizing so quickly. He said that would be another $100. I went there and spoke to the manager, and he did the coating for $50. I left there happy. After two weeks the oxidation was back and I called to let them know. I took the SUV there specifically to take care of the oxidation on the hood. $750 later, I have the same issue I brought the SUV in for. They wanted to try again, at no charge, but said they could not guarantee it will not come back again. They were very surprised it came back in two weeks. I asked for a partial refund and they offered $100. I did tell them that $100 was not near enough and the manager said the owner said they would do $200. I asked whey they offered $100 in the first place when the owner had given permission for $200. I am so unhappy with the results of the hood. I feel they should have offered more than that. I will say that the rest of the SUV looks good. They need to refund me more money and I will not be referring them to anyone. read more

Bill just did some incredible work on two of my older Teslas. On a 2012 Tesla Model S Signature P85 I just bought used, he polished, applied an XPel clear bra full front, applied front windshield "clear" tint for UV protection, and did an OptiCoat Pro Plus treatment. On my 2010 Tesla Roadster, he polished and applied OptiCoat Pro Plus. Bill's work is FANTASTIC! He works very hard. He's very knowledgeable and skilled. The attention to detail is evident. On the 2012 Tesla Model S, a 5-year old car as I write this review, I have never seen a shine and gloss so clear. It was truly mirror-like which I found very impressive on a red car. I know you can get such reflection on black, but I was surprised how clear this was on a red car. It was truly mirror-like. The car is jaw-droppingly gorgeous and he enriched and deepened the beautiful Signature Red color (not the red multicoat color more commonly seen on Model S's). No one would ever think this is a 5-year old car. it is stunningly beautiful. In fact, my coworker said just yesterday:, "Wow. That thing is gorgeous. I thought it was a 2017!" Just amazing for a 5-year old used car. On my 2010 Tesla Roadster, which had a lot of swirl marks when I bought it used 4 years ago - and those swirl marks did not improve much after an Opticoat treatment 3 year ago from a different company (to whom I gave a good review but would now like to revise), Bill's work was again amazing. It's his attention to detail and skill that make all the difference. He got a lot of the swirl marks out (and some he did not were pre-existing under a clear bra Tesla put on before I originally bought it). The car has never looked this good since I've owned it. It was well worth him having re-do and correct what I now recognize as shoddy work by a different company. Bill is the owner of this small company and is the primary person working on your car.
