The quality of the windshield that was installed appears to be very poor. It was replaced…read moreapproximately four months ago, and since then it has sustained three rock chips from what appeared to be very small rocks. The most recent chip occurred without any noticeable impact--I did not even hear the rock strike the windshield. I only discovered the damage because it was directly in my line of sight. Because this is a fleet vehicle, it is possible that the fleet management company authorized the installation of a lower-cost windshield rather than one that meets the original equipment quality standards. Based on my experience, the windshield does not appear to be as durable as the factory-installed glass.
