They made me feel relaxed and comfortable. During the cryotherapy, David talked with me to help me feel at ease and make the time go by quickly as I increasingly got more cold. He said I couldn't reschedule because of the policy. He nor anyone else ever told me about their "unable to reschedule less than 48 hours" policy. That makes no sense when the service was already paid for. No money is lost. I would've even paid a fee but he refused to reschedule me. I was never made aware of the policy - not in the documents that were sent over for signature (release of liability waivers) and the owner never told me. So how is a first time client supposed to know? It's not even posted in by the check in/out area. So I cancelled my future appointments and requested a refund. I was pleased with Dr Hammond and the treatment I received. The issue was the office staff. After…read moremaking the appointment I was emailed the new patient paperwork and received multiple forms to complete. When I arrived she apologized for attaching the unnecessary paperwork. Mistakes happen so I wasn't concerned. While checking in we discussed my insurance and copay and the fact it was a medicare advantage plan confirming Dr Hammond was in network. We had a conversation about the copay being $20 or no copay due to Dr Hammond being in network. She assured me she would run my insurance and let me know. The issue occurred when I was checking out and scheduling a follow-up appointment. I was told I owed $200! According to his staff Medicare does not cover the initial exam, only the adjustments. After the fact, I was told "This is for all Medicare patients and not limited to only my Humana Advantage Plan". That being the case, she knew the exam was not covered when I checked in and didn't mention it. This was not a miscommunication but a lack of communication and I feel it was intentionally misleading. Needless to say, I canceled my follow-up appointment and would not recommend this clinic.
