They made me feel relaxed and comfortable. During the cryotherapy, David talked with me to help me feel at ease and make the time go by quickly as I increasingly got more cold. I was pleased with Dr Hammond and the treatment I received. The issue was the office staff. After…read moremaking the appointment I was emailed the new patient paperwork and received multiple forms to complete. When I arrived she apologized for attaching the unnecessary paperwork. Mistakes happen so I wasn't concerned. While checking in we discussed my insurance and copay and the fact it was a medicare advantage plan confirming Dr Hammond was in network. We had a conversation about the copay being $20 or no copay due to Dr Hammond being in network. She assured me she would run my insurance and let me know. The issue occurred when I was checking out and scheduling a follow-up appointment. I was told I owed $200! According to his staff Medicare does not cover the initial exam, only the adjustments. After the fact, I was told "This is for all Medicare patients and not limited to only my Humana Advantage Plan". That being the case, she knew the exam was not covered when I checked in and didn't mention it. This was not a miscommunication but a lack of communication and I feel it was intentionally misleading. Needless to say, I canceled my follow-up appointment and would not recommend this clinic.
