Unfortunately things happen, and in my case my toddler had a potty accident that set us back leaving the house this am. What makes this even more frustrating is that this office provided virtually no preparation guidance ahead of time. I had to repeatedly reach out myself just to get basic instructions about what to bring and how to prepare for the challenge. For an appointment involving potential allergic reactions in a child, the communication was shockingly poor. The staff were cold, rude, and acted as though we were an inconvenience rather than anxious parents trying to navigate a stressful medical process. If you expect families to follow strict policies for highly specialized appointments, then you should also hold yourselves to a professional standard of communication and compassion. We received neither.

He came highly recommended from friends, patients, and medical professionals as one of theist new ENTs in Kansas City. I can be a hard critic of medical care and their surrounding staff. As a physician and practice owner myself, I know full well the level of energy, dedication, and effort it takes to deliver great patient care. Dr. Stanley McClurg is one of the best ENT surgeons in Kansas City. His experience and extensive training as one of the few Rhinologists in Kansas City made him a perfect experienced choice for my surgeon. My quality of life is improved now that I can breathe well, sleep well, and I am thrilled with the outcome of my surgery. It has even stopped my snoring! The experience at the surgical center, with their staff, and anesthesiologists were equally fantastic. The surgical team were on-time, not rushed, and overall, the experience was a good as it gets in the business. I had earlier concerns regarding post-op discomfort, complications, and other issues associated with sinus reconstruction surgery. Dr. McClurg answered all of my questions and I was very confident and assured in his ability to deliver excellent care. I had very little discomfort and now feel amazing. After a couple of days of recovery I had the intranasal splints removed at my first post op exam at 5 days. The recovery was quick and comfortable. I missed a few days of work but could have easily returned the day the splints were removed. Dr. Stanley McClurg is a gifted physician with experience, talent, and good old fashioned caring that is making him a rising star in the KC medical community. My only regret from the experience is that I never got hooked up with Dr. McClurg earlier in my life. We are fortunate to have him in our city and I for one, and beyond grateful for his care. If you are considering seeing an ENT for yourself or family, I would recommend him highly.

I waited over 20 minutes to get called back, despite having an appointment and having all of the paperwork completed prior to arrival. HOWEVER, Dr. Baptist has been the first doctor to actually listen to my plight and to try to help figure out why it's occurring rather than merely prescribe me medicine. Thus far, he has been INCREDIBLY thorough in utilizing different methods to get to the reason behind my chronic hives and has prescribed only an inhaler and an increase in certain vitamin supplements. I'd describe him as a doctor-scientist and I trust he will be able to find an answer for me.

Not good to get an additional 'charge' for bring up a matter during your annual physical! Then I nsisting that you come in, just to get refills, and you begin to realize you have the wrong doctor. WORST OF ALL - I called with chest pains (thinking I had Covid issues I was obeying CDC instructions to call my GP first) only to find they were ALL on Spring Break...! I couldn't get access to any clinician (couldn't get past the officious receptionist). So I hung up & called a NP in the family, and was advised to get into the ER immediately. Bottom line - 3 weeks now since my heart attack and still NOTHING from my doctor or anyone in the practice. Pretty appalling. I am done with trusting my health to this place and I would never recommend anyone go there. But hey - maybe they just hated me...?

A few things. - My dr recently retired and I have a new dr this year, Dr Nida Dillon - I saw Dr Dillon in Jul and Aug for well woman visits and a physical - My prescription ran out in Oct - I had a gi scope done in Feb that confirmed I still have a hiatal hernia, which is why i was put on the medication to begin w/. Based on all of that, why should I have to spend money to get an appointment that I will be at all of 5 minutes to get a medication that I've been on for over 20 years? I saw her in Jul and Aug. She didn't think that maybe she should discuss my refills then? The prescription was up in Oct. I even called back and had a further discussion w/someone in the office and they will not budge. I could see them not refilling my prescription if I only saw them every once in awhile or if I hadn't had the GI Scope done earlier this year. But, I have seen them recently and have seen them multiple times a year every year since I started going to them. Plus, I did have a GI Scope done in FEB 2019 that proved the need for me to be on this medication. It is very unfortunate that they have chosen not to change their position on this. They could have said - well, when you are in the office next, we must discuss this. But they didn't. They said I have to be seen to get the refill. In my opinion, that is a waste of my time and money. Because, what is she going to do? Talk about the results of my GI Scope? Ask what happens when I go off the medication? I get heartburn. I've expressed that. So I ask, what is the point of me seeing her? There isn't one other than to charge me for an office visit that ISN'T NEEDED!!!!! I even tried to call Dr Schuchardt's office to get the refill since he did the GI Scope, but was told that since Dr Dillon had already denied it, their hands are tied. Ridiculous. Sadly, I am now looking for another practice after 20+ years being w/College Park Family Care Center. I loved Dr Joyce Simon and was very happy under her, but not going to hand them money to get something that has been proven I need......
