This review is not reflective of the doctors or front staff. They are wonderful and kind. This…read morereview is solely reflective of their billing practices and the customer service of their billing department. After a billing misunderstanding which left me charged surprisingly, I called to clarify what had occured. Rather than being met with understanding or empathy, I was berated like a child, interrupted, and scoffed at repeatedly for questioning their decision, asking if the charge could be reversed, and explaining that I have an open insurance dispute processing that impacts this bill specifically. I just wanted the opportunity to have my dispute finalized so whatever I am charged is my actual responsibility. I don't think any family should be blindsided overnight with authorizations as a standard practice and it is not ridiculous to expect some kind of notice. Just a warning to current and prosepective patients, if you ever need the care and understanding you would expect from a doctors office during billing concerns, you won't find it here. And if this is the undercurrent that infoms their business decisions, I would also question their medical decisions. (As a side note, if there is suddenly a barrage of positive reviews immediately after mine then that also tells you what you need to know about how they respond to feedback.)

Everything was old and dingy and smelled like dust. There's a kid playroom which is great for kids to annoying as hell when kids are playing with the loudest toys possible and are left unsupervised. I waited over 20 minutes to get called back, despite having an appointment and having all of the paperwork completed prior to arrival. HOWEVER, Dr. Baptist has been the first doctor to actually listen to my plight and to try to help figure out why it's occurring rather than merely prescribe me medicine. Thus far, he has been INCREDIBLY thorough in utilizing different methods to get to the reason behind my chronic hives and has prescribed only an inhaler and an increase in certain vitamin supplements. I'd describe him as a doctor-scientist and I trust he will be able to find an answer for me.

Absolutely horrible do not go here. Never in my life have I felt compelled to leave a bad review…read morebut this was genuinely one of the scariest experiences I've ever had and cannot imagine the laws that were broken in the process. I arrived with my labs to be drawn and was greeted by two young nurses who took turns deciding who wanted to do it, so unprofessional to start. Then they decided to do it together, aw so fun except for the fact that both of them were incredibly inexperienced. They began trying to find a vein and couldn't for the life of them. I've had blood drawn many times and have been told I have a perfect vein for it, which I even showed them. They poked me a total of 5 times and were MOVING the needle around inside my arm. NEVER GOT A VEIN. I passed out completely cold and they were laughing and joking to eachother trying to figure out what to do. I am a young woman who is in the medical field and couldn't believe what was going on. After passing out twice, I asked if I could lay down so they said, "yeah you can go to that room" and proceeded to watch me walk myself over there while half unconscious. I've never passed out from needles but felt nausea, extreme sweating, and was pale as a ghost. They were looking at eachother the entire time trying to figure out what to do as if they've never done it before. They said to eachother "should we get Buck" and I said yes please. I was silent the entire time but knew I literally wouldn't make it home if they kept trying. I was wearing a dress, laying with my feet toward the door. Buck comes in and says "you are always supposed to either cover her or close the door because she's wearing a dress". Great, and don't you know it, moments after he said that a strange man walked past my door, looked directly up my dress, and buck had to tell him to go back to the lobby. Why was there a strange person just roaming around anyway? And why the hell was I not covered up if that was the policy. Of course, buck gets the blood drawn on the first try. Whatever you do, do not go if you value your safety and dignity. Other helpers let me know if I should sue...

At my second week, the blonde at the clinic today told me three times to remember my card, I apologized, she told me to wait until she was done she would check me in. She forgot and told me she has already checked in 50 patients and I need to remember my card. I was told in all 4 times to remember my card. I apologized and said I came by bc I got the text at my kid's swimming lessons and didn't have my wallet, my husband and kids were in the car. She didn't have to respond to that all all, but she did, and said, "we'll you were texted a week ago." I came and got 6 shots Friday 7/1/22 a week ago and was here again 7/8/22 for another 6. I came for the shot a week ago. I already apologized and the answer is, ''well, you got a text a week ago." so incredibly rude. She visibly rolled her eyes at me to a colleague in front of me and asked her colleague, "Did I say that?' I asked to move to the Olathe office (in overland park office) and she says, "great, I'm the nurse there, you want to see me in Olathe?' no. I don't. she is rude, wasn't looking at me at all when talking, she said she was noting in my chart. honestly, this is expensive. I think my first 9 weeks are $1800 and it's an hour a week. I would rather pay someone else than to pay and be treated like shit. when I signed up for shots instead of handing me the paperwork over the counter like a normal interaction that nurse handed it to me over her side so I had to stand awkwardly over a trash can filling out papers. I asked what insurance covers and she said, 'oh I don't call, you call. you have to figure that out." that is fine, I can call, u6 you can explain it more kindly. they are always busy, rushed, and rude. I heard twice how "I've already checked in 50 people today, it's busy.' well, that is your job. you don't have to treat everyone so poorly. for reference I did shots here from 2015 to 2020 and Aggarwhal allergy clinic in the early 2000's.

I like this office because it's small and I'm never stuck in the patient room waiting on the doctor like at other offices. The gals at the front desk are friendly and the in takes gals who do height and weight (don't know their job title) are quick and nice too. They also have an allergy injection clinic for their patients. These shots have helped my so much, I can now stand to be in a home with dogs and cats for several hours. This wasn't possible for me before and my seasonal allergies improved a lot too. Occasionally I have a hard time getting in here for sick visits because Dr. Wald's not at this office every day. So if you really need in you might have to drive up to their Overland Park office instead. But if you plan ahead you can get in here and it'll be fine. If you're looking for an allergy/ashtma doctor, I highly recommend this office and Dr. Wald too.

They have gone so far as to hang up in my face twice after scheduling an appointment and then canceling because of a sensitive or perhaps biased nurse practioner, who claimed that I was rude to her simply by expressing my discomfort during a visit. I guess she expects everything to be roses when a person is sick. Kelsey, put on your 'big girl ' hat and understand when a person is sick, they might not be as pleasant as you would like and know it's not personal. I will not be labeled 'the angry black woman' or will I allow you to get away with treating me so poorly for expressing my concerns to you during an appointment, one that I quite frankly don't remember because it was insignificant. In the meantime, please seek training - in diversity and inclusion, unconscious bias and definitely, customer service. Despite all of this mess today, I have received the best care from the best provider in Dr. Sherard. So will I be prohibited from seeing my doctor because their behavior continues to go unchecked? Before today, I didn't know there was a problem. I'm still reeling over the fact that they hung up in my face, the power they have!
