Dr. Michelle Robin has been my chiropractor for 15+ years. I have also seen and endorse the other chiropractors on staff. I highly recommend acupuncture from Shamayne Tate, who I have also seen there for at least 10 years. I discovered there that I prefer cupping to massage for tight shoulders. Chiropractors have relieved me of sciatic pain and countless aches and pains. I have seen other chiropractors in KC and across the country. Dr. Robin is my favorite chiropractor. She is always learning and stays up to date on best practices. She uses several methods to adjust you and provide relief. She will not hurt you. She doesn't push x-rays or upsell supplements, although you can get both and neck supporting pillows there. She is well respected and known in the Kansas City business and medical community and active in trying to uplift others. Her staff are consistently professional and friendly. They suggest you relax your back on a rolling table while you wait, which feels great and probably helps get a better adjustment. Primary care physicians could learn a thing or two from Dr. Robin. read more

I love Your Wellness Connection and have been going here for a few years now! I have only been here for acupuncture with Dr. Tate but the facility as a whole seems to have a bunch of terrific doctors with different unique specialties. The facility is always such a relaxing place to visit and never seems like a health facility. The staff has always been super friendly and helpful every time I have been there. Laura's acupuncture skills has reduced my pain significantly. I had daily pain in my neck, shoulders, and back for several months. On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the worst pain, my daily usual was 5-7. My first session, I asked Laura to count to 3 every time she placed each needle. By the 4th session I felt so relaxed, I took a nap! I was highly skeptical of acupuncture, but I feel the benefits. For most of my adult life, I've suffered from tension headaches. I believe they're the result of ingrained tension caused by muscle imbalances in my lower back, shoulders, and neck. A friend recommended massages from Linda Glover at Your Wellness Connection. Linda is fantastic! Excellent massages, and a sense of humor that I enjoy. After just a couple of sessions (one per week) I noticed that my headaches decreased in frequency. She assured me that we could retrain my back to stop holding on to all this tension. I was happy to embark on that work with her. One day she suggested that I see one of the chiropractors at Your Wellness Connection. She recommended Dr. Sean Cailteux very highly. Like many people, I'm wary of chiropractors. We've all heard the criticisms - they're quacks who don't actually fix problems, they always make sure that you need to keep seeing them to bilk you for more money, etc. I voiced this concern to Linda and she completely understood - and she assured me in the strongest terms that Dr. Sean isn't like that. She told me that Dr. Sean believes in fixing problems. His goal is to see a patient as few times as needed and he hopes to never have to see someone again. At our first appointment, Dr. Sean had his assistant take some x-rays of my neck and spine; he examined my spine and posture and did a full adjustment. He informed me that there are no major problems with my spine or neck vertebrae - nothing out of alignment, no compression between my discs. Two weeks later I had a follow-up appointment with Dr. Sean - I assumed this was routine. He did another standard adjustment. Again - he didn't mention any problems with my spine or neck vertebrae. But at the end of this second session, he told me that he wanted to continue to see me every two weeks for an unspecified amount of time, and then we should be able to taper down to once a month or so - eventually, he said, he hoped he'd only need to see me a few times a year. Recall - he told me at both appointments that there's nothing wrong with my spine or neck. I asked him why he felt the need to keep seeing me so often - he rebuffed and deflected my questions. I never got any satisfactory explanation from him. He dodged the questions so skillfully, I'm left with the conclusion that he does this a lot. My experience with Dr. Sean left a very bad taste in my mouth. As much I think that Linda is an excellent masseuse, she's the one who recommended Dr. Sean in the first place and assured me that he wasn't what he turned out to be - at best, this means that I can't trust her judgment. I won't go back to Your Wellness Connection again - not to see Linda, and certainly not to see Dr. Sean. Linda is a very good masseuse and she helped me quite a lot. But after my experience with Dr. Sean, I can't recommend Your Wellness Connection in good conscience. read more
