This beach house exceeded our Christmas expectations. I have been doing VRBO for over 10 years and our host Shantelle was probably the most attentive we have ever had. She graciously gave us a late check out because the next guests weren't arriving until the next day. Most of the living is done upstairs because the table is huge and we had a blast playing cards up there every night, and of course the view is spectacular. But if it gets too noisy (We had five little kids with us, and four couples), You can go downstairs where it is quite peaceful and feng shui. Nice place to read a book in peace and quiet, & has rooms that get dark enough to lay babies down for a nap. The kitchens are wonderfully stocked, we cooked four big meals. There's a TV in every room & Wi-Fi is great. Coffee on the patio up or down is amazing. Almost every bedroom has its own bathroom! The location can't be beat. Literally less than one block to the Balboa Island ferry, we rode bikes over there & saw Christmas lites. Its a super easy walk to Ruby's at the end of the pier, & there's three fun hopping bars just around the corner. There is a cute kids playground near the pier, and the beach sand and fire pits are mere steps away, where we watched some Beautiful sunsets.Shauntelle was great checking on us, fixing one door lock problem immediately, got us extra towels & beach chairs. We had the most amazing family getaway at Shauntelle's Balboa Peninsula beach house. We had a large group (12 adults and 5 children) and we certainly got the VIP treatment from beginning to end. Location was just amazing. Nothing is better than waking up in the morning to the ocean waves. The home was well stocked with everything we needed. Kitchens were also stocked with all the essentials for cooking for a large group. We made good use of the gas BBQs as well. We were so blessed to stay in the Newport Beach House on 510 E Oceanfront of Balboa Island. Location is right on the walkway next to Newport Beach. Our student group and chaperones truly enjoyed our location, very comfortable house with furniture you can actually sit and relax in. We slept well, bathroom spaces are plentiful and well appointed, good water pressure. The location of the home was ideal--close to shopping, coffee shops, boardwalk/pier, parking and, of course, those thunderous waves! The House was clean, with many amenities: laundry, dishwasher, coffee makers, parking, fold out futons, plenty of pans and dishes, large gas grill, crock pot, toasters, and oven space. The home fit our group of 36 very nicely, and we were all very comfortable. Front porch seating was pleasant, and accessibility to public showers to rinse sand off was very convenient. Shauntelle, our host, was very accommodating, helpful, and responsive to my questions if I needed help. She met us at the house and showed us around when we arrived. We truly enjoyed our stay. WOW. What an incredible experience and amazing weekend. We booked this beautiful beach house for a large group of 25 and everything from the location, the service, and the house itself exceeded our expectations. From the very beginning Ms. Shauntelle went out of her way to accommodate our group: from drafting a payment schedule that worked for us, to making sure we had the exact right number of extra pillows, towels, sheets etc for our group. She was an absolute pleasure to work with and more than happy to communicate through email, text and/or over the phone to your preference. The place itself is marvelous. We rented the entire 2-story home for our group, however each floor is completely set up and stocked as a freestanding unit with a large fridge/freezer, 3+ bedrooms, 3 beautiful modern bathrooms as well as dining space and plenty of convertible couches/futons for lounging and/or sleeping extra guests. Located right on Oceanfront Blvd with a balcony on the top and patio on the ground floor, we were literally steps away from the sand. Sipping coffee on the balcony with a cool ocean breeze first thing in the morning is my definition of true relaxation. Beach chairs, umbrellas and other beach equipment can also be requested which was so nice to know since who wants to lug a dozen beach chairs around on vacation? (not me!). Not to mention that the assigned 1-car garage had a bunch of sand toys and boogie boards for kids if needed. Also, the convenience of having access to two off-street parking spaces with the whole-house rental cannot be understated, as parking around Newport Beach in the summer season can be madness. However, once the cars were parked and unloaded, we were able to completely forget our worries about siting in stop-and-go beach traffic to get to activities, because everything we needed was so close! Balboa Lily's is around the corner two blocks away for amazing coffee and breakfast/lunch. Newport Harbor Boat Rentals has the best price for a 2-hour duffy boat rental and is four blocks away. Cabo Cantina has delicious margaritas and craving-inducing Mexican fare with breezy open windows and an awesome DJ. Plenty of other options too, plus an arcade and other kid-friendly activities. AND the Balboa Pier with the original Ruby's diner is right there! Immediately next door to the house is a bike rental shop (and ice cream shop) so you can lazily bike the wide beach path that stretches the length of the peninsula and daydream while passing in front of hundreds of gorgeous beachfront homes. We spent the morning renting a couple duffy boats and exploring the expansive Newport Bay harbor, and even decided to go for dock service at Woody's Wharf. You don't even have to get out of the boat! Full food and drink service right from the dock, amazing. The afternoon was wiled away on the sand playing games and later strolling through the breakers before eventually heading to dinner down the block at sunset. 100% will be back, even if just for a couples' retreat from the upstairs! Absolutely perfect experience. The house was gorgeous and clean and the location was awesome. This was our first time to Newport Beach and we will definitely be back. We had an amazing time at the Newport beach house last weekend with 10 friends to celebrate the 60th birthday for two of us. The house is beautiful, spacious, and all the beds are super comfortable. We loved the balcony and enjoyed the sunsets! It's in the perfect location with a very short walk to the Balboa pier. We had fun taking the ferry to Balboa Island and a harbor cruise to see celebrity homes. It was easy to book through VRBO and Shauntelle made sure the house had everything we needed. Shauntelle was AMAZING to work with! She was not fazed at all by our large group or by our even larger needs. She was extremely accommodating and went out of her way to ensure we had a great trip. The house is adorable and set up for large groups. It's a little crazy at first with all the futons- but when you have multiple families with little ones and you can keep them in rooms with their parents- it's perfection. I have a large extended family and we meet up often in different parts of the country. We have stayed in some elaborate and spacious homes. This one was by far one of our favorite houses despite being much smaller and simpler than others. The house had everything we needed for our meals and even some extra fun like playing cards and beach toys. It was close to the beach and having the cars parked right in front of the house was perfect for our loading and unloading. Our trip was split between Disneyland and the beach. The drive to Disney was only around 30 mins so that was ideal. We were not thrilled with the area around the Disneyland parks or the rentals available so we were thrilled with the location of this rental. There was a cute store next door that was sadly only open on the weekend. We were within walking distance of many shops, treats and things to do. Our kids loved playing at the beach and doing surfing lessons. We also did a whale watching tour down the street at Davey's Locker. Had so much fun renting the beach house at 510 E Oceanfront, Newport Beach, CA 92661 Used it to host a church girls camp. We brought 19 teenage girls for 4 days and it was perfect for what we needed. Had plenty of space for all of us. The layout worked out great for us. Especially liked the kitchens, used top floor for main serving and eating. And the lower one for prep and storage. The balcony was a favorite spot to relax and enjoy the view. The beach was a very short walk away and we took full advantage of that. We also enjoyed walking to the little shops in town. The best part of staying at 508 E Oceanfront is they seem to be, in my opinion, one of the only houses in the area that trusts you. What I mean by that is, while most other vacation homes I have rented feel very stringent on rules, etc. but Shauntelle, to me, seemed more interested in trusting me as a renter. We just got back from are trip to Newport Beach area and staying with CRV. Shuantelle and Susan were super helpful in getting us set up and ready to enjoy are week there. The house was amazing and fit us 11 adults and 12 kids, I do mean kids. Oldest was 11 and youngest was 5 months. Plenty of room for the kids at night to play board games, watch a movie on the large TV's in the house, and to sleep (the most important part). The bedrooms were huge in this place allowing us to put down extra bedding for toddlers and babies with pac and plays and toddler air beds. The kitchens made it easy to prepare multiple meals at once and huge family dinners. Plenty of place to sit and eat and a beautiful patio to enjoy the cool breeze while eating cronuts from the local bakery (about a five minute walk, made it a few times). But not only is the house amazing the location is awesome. Everything is with in walking distance, bakery, pizza, tacos, ice cream, bikes, ice cream, and tacos. We enjoy visiting the local shops. Also the Neighbors were so nice. Let us know where to go and where the best tacos were. Very welcoming place and we are already planning another trip here. Best thing was Shuantelle reaching out and making sure we enjoyed are stay. She wants to make sure if something was a little off for us it does not happen to the next person. 510 E Oceanfront, Newport Beach, CA. We had 2 generations gathering for a family event (7 folks in the 60-70 range and 7 who were 25-35 years old). This was a perfect house for us. All of the couples had rooms, and there were enough bathrooms. The room that shows a full size bed on the lower level (A3?) actually has a full size bunk bed, which worked well. The upper floor had plenty of room for cooking, eating, playing cards and watching TV. We were there for New Year's weekend, and many football games were watched. The lower level was nice for folks who wanted to get away and work on a puzzle, read or watch something else on TV. We were able to fit a 2019 Subaru Forester in the garage (tight, but do able), and a Jeep in the parallel parking spot. The young ones found free street parking and another opted for the lot that was $1/ hour from 8A to 6P. Shauntelle was easy to work with and readily available to answer questions. My family members gave it 2 thumbs up! We would love to stay here again. read more

We rented the lower unit and the team at CVR team, Shauntelle and Susan, made it possible to upgrade to the upper larger unit due to a small sink issue. CVR crew were very thoughtful, courteous, and professional. They made our stay as comfortable as possible. We received a VIP service. The upper unit had a nice deck with seating and gas BBQ. Shauntelle and Susan were great to deal with and helped us enjoy our stay at this super convenient location right there by the Balboa Municipal parking lot. The beach is just steps away. The patio is great for people watching. You can literally park right in front of the place in the parking lot - you just need to cross the bike path and you are there. It made it easy for loading/unloading all of our things. The parking fees can be paid by an app and that made it easy. There is also street parking but we used the pay lot. Many places are within walking distance - bars, restaurants, water sports, the ferry, the Balboa Fun Zone, etc. Susan, the property manager, was such a big help with everything and gave us some great tips. We had a large family and needed an affordable place to stay on the beach, and we found it. This place worked perfectly. We really enjoyed the location. The house is right on the beach, easy to find parking and good places to eat nearby. One night we roasted marshmallows on the beach with all the little kids and played some whiffle ball on the beach with a light up ball and bat.
