Everyone we interacted with was helpful and made the whole process feel much less stressful. Kevin came to my house showed me samples so I was able to see actual colors to match it with my kitchen tiles and feel actual texture. He explained the product details and compared them and he gave me a reasonable price. I did not bother looking and talking to other companies, when the price was within my budget and was told it will be done in 4 days, i was sold. During the installation, they discovered that our previous flooring had actually been installed over the existing tile, which we weren't aware of. They took the time to explain the situation, went over our options, and were completely transparent about what would be involved if we wanted to remove the tile and level the floors. I really appreciated that they didn't pressure us and allowed us to make the decision that was best for our home. The installation team worked efficiently and did a beautiful job. They were friendly, respectful of our home, and clearly took pride in their work. Even though flooring installation can be a stressful process, they made it easy and smooth from beginning to end. They installed our new flooring in two upstairs bedrooms, guest bathroom, laundry room, and upstairs hall. They also took out all the carpeting upstairs, and then removed all the tile flooring and some carpet in our downstairs areas. They installed the flooring in the entire ground floor, and on our staircase. They originally estimated 8 - 10 days for the entire project, and they finished in 5 days. Their work on the staircase was labor intensive, and it came out beautifully! They arrived early every morning, and they even worked a half day on the 4th of July! Ismael and his sons were respectful and friendly, and it was a pleasure to work with all of them. I cannot praise Ismael and his sons enough! They did a stellar job and the floors are super clean. Communication was great and everything went well. The insurance company paid for the job, so I'm not certain what the costs were. Shows up one hour past the scheduled time...it happens, I understand, but maybe you should at least apologize and give me a heads up? Apologizing after I call you out is not comforting. Very nice in person, Takes measurements and discusses. This was a Friday, so I understand we might not get the estimate soon. I'm told, if not this weekend, I'll get it to you by Monday eod. No worries, that's reasonable. Heck, it can be any day, just do what you promise. Monday nothing. Tuesday nothing. Call Wednesday. Says I'm really busy, No apology until I call them out on what they promised. I didn't set the expectation, they did. I tell them, if we don't even have a contract and you're being like this, what am I to expect? Next day, I get a text about the room to be done, is it upstairs or downstairs, and the bathroom, is it being done? I'm totally confused, we never spoke about a bathroom and the room is upstairs. I get the quote finally. It's ~$30k more than another quote I got from a 5 star Yelp business. WTH. Looking deeper into the quote, it's talking about terracota tile and grout...we never spoke about that, we spoke what I already have downstairs, which is laminate. They even stated, that's a manufactured piece we can't get anymore but we can get something close to match. Don't always believe Yelp reviews, but I'd believe this one.

We purchased carpeting and Pergo flooring through Flooring 101 almost 15 years ago and we were so…read moreimpressed with them at that time that we knew when it was time to replace our carpeting recently that we needed to go back to see them again. Josh was working the day we went in the Ventura store and he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful so it was pretty much a given that we'd go with them again. It took quite awhile for us to decide on the carpet color we liked so we stopped by the store a few times to pick up different samples from Josh and he was more than patient with us while we were in the "deciding phase". Once we made up our mind, he made the process so easy and quickly got our place on the install schedule. While at the store one day, we also fell in love with a beautiful vinyl that looked like tile so we purchased it to have our kitchen flooring redone. It was two different teams that worked on our flooring, one for tile and the other for carpeting, and both teams were excellent! Thank you to Josh for making this tough process so easy for us! Oh, we did do some checking around at other stores just to make sure we were getting a great deal and we didn't find anyone else who impressed us as much with his expertise and customer service and his price was more than fair! Our experience with these guys was a bummer all around... Mo…read moreassured us they could closely match our existing wood floors, which is why we hired WFG for the quote provided (about 30% higher than our avg quote.) The floors are a completely different color than our existing older hardwood. I understand that the match was never going to be exact, but I am disappointed in how far off they are. If matching aged flooring was never possible, they should not have set our expectations otherwise. When I asked Mo if he thought the color was close, he said they were "maybe 10% different", which I believe was a dishonest answer. The floors are also extremely soft - just lightly pushing a finger nail into them leaves a dent. My guess is they bought cheap planks, made of young lumber that is not as strong as our original floors. The planks were not sanded well either, the surface has bumps that can be felt even with the finish complete.
