I saw beer on the menu however not sure what they had as they only listed domestic or import. Inside is very modern and new. It is a bit small inside, I think you're ok going solo as the bar takes half the space up. Groups bigger than 4 might have trouble with seating if it's busy. Its in a small shopping center where most of the other businesses are closed later at night. Overall very nice place and will go back again.

This is a nicely decorated bar with a decent wine menu, unique crafted cocktails, and well-displayed appetizers/boards. Great for a date night or individual hanging out at the bar. I run a local social club and we have a WhatsApp group where I shared Cork It and we decided to meetup here on a Tuesday evening. When I arrived at 6pm, there were only 4 people at the bar. We slowly had people from our group trickle in and I would say by 7-8pm, there were about 12 of us in total. We took up 4 of the tables, however there was still plenty of bar/lounge seating as well as a large table in the corner for other patrons. The service was incredibly slow. Took about 10 mins per person to place and receive a drink order, food took a significantly long time. From 6-8pm, I only had the chance to order one drink. Mind you, there were never more than 15-20 patrons at one time (including our group). None of us complained or were upset about the service/wait time. When I went to close out, the bartender complained to me about bringing in so many people and said I should have booked an event/party with them so they "could have been prepared." This wasn't a party or event I was hosting. This was quite literally 12 people who arrived at different times, sitting at open tables or the bar to socialize and order a drink/menu item. In this economy and with how much local places are struggling, I cannot imagine telling a customer they "brought in too much business." I was told Tuesdays are usually "dead." It seemed like she just didn't want to have to actually be busy for 2 hours. As a local community organizer/supporter, I cannot continue to support any place that complains about new customers. If they do not want groups, that's something that could have been shared as we started filling up their tables. Any bar that can't comfortably handle 15 patrons at a time is clearly inexperienced and not expecting to grow. To act like we overwhelmed them is wild. I would think the goal for any bar would be to have their tables taken up at prime dinner time.

I personally like their Mediterranean Chicken Skewers and Feisty Feta Spread, but am a sucker for the off-menu, overstuffed ground beef tacos they serve some nights. Friends rave about their Chicken Salad Croissant. The owners - Karen and Lisa - and their staff do an outstanding job of taking care of their customers. Similar to other recently opened venues that serve beer on tap and feature both indoor and outdoor spaces, there is something available for all ages in your party. Though parking is free in their lot, it does quickly fill up as the evening progresses. Our friends had reserved a few tables outside, but it also turned out to be the coldest day of the year, so we ended up settling inside. We sampled sliders, hot dogs, flat breads, pizza, pretzels, nachos, and chicken lollipops, which were served in metal catering trays along a long table. All the food items that were ordered were good. We did not order anything to drink, but the servers did a great job of coming by our tables to see if we needed anything throughout the evening, and he had quite a large party. The outdoor space is pretty large, with open areas of turf for lawn games and kids to run around. There is also ample outdoor seating, with a few food trucks along the outer part of the venue. Not sure if these are left out year-round, but they had these fire pit space heater/light sources between the tables that provided a nice touch to the outdoor space, especially as the evening grew darker. Although we don't live nearby, this was a great spot to celebrate a birthday, hang out with friends, date night, etc. I definitely recommend this place if you live on this side of town.

Inside, you've got cold A/C and comfortable seating if you want to escape the heat. Outside, there are shaded tables and an upper patio with fans that actually keep the air moving. You can pick your vibe depending on how hot it feels outside. As for the beer selection... they aren't playing. There's a huge variety on tap, something for every taste. When I visited, there were also food trucks on-site along with a small in-house menu, so grabbing a bite was easy. But the real surprise is the bourbon whiskey room hidden behind those red velvet curtains. It has that quiet, speakeasy feel -- a completely different atmosphere from the main area. Definitely worth stepping inside if you enjoy bourbon. Prices are reasonable, the energy is relaxed, and it's the kind of place you can hang out, talk, and enjoy yourself without feeling rushed. If you haven't checked it out yet, go. It's a fun spot with a lot of character.

I tried making reservations online all week but couldn't find an option. I even called the day of and no one picked up, so I was a little nervous walking in without a reservation. Thankfully, they were able to seat us right away--apparently a lot of reservations had canceled or no-showed. The place itself is super cute. Not too busy when we first arrived, but it definitely picked up at one point. Everyone was friendly when we walked in, and the wine specials were amazing. I ordered the Pinot Noir flight, and for the price, it just made sense--totally worth it. Now the food... SO good. Everything was reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. We tried the empanadas, the ceviche, the mussels, and I got the steak with shrimp (not sure the exact name). It came with mashed potatoes and asparagus, and honestly it was phenomenal. I'd come back just for that dish alone. I definitely want to return for happy hour and maybe another girls' night. The only downside: our first server. I'm not sure if he was flustered, annoyed, or just having a day, but his energy toward our table was not it. We came out to relax and get away from attitudes at home, not to deal with more. He seemed impatient and uninterested, didn't offer recommendations, took our order and rushed off, and overall treated us very differently from the table next to us--who he was super sweet to, even giving them a hug at one point. I was the first one there and he was nice initially, but once the rest of my friends arrived, his whole demeanor changed. We asked for a different server, and that made ALL the difference. The second server--the gentleman with the bald head and beard--was phenomenal. Patient, helpful, friendly, and made us feel welcome. 100% recommend sitting in his section! Overall, the prices were reasonable, the drinks and food were delicious, and the vibe was great. I'll definitely be back--just hopefully with a smoother reservation process and NOT with that first server. Happy hour and steak night, here I come!

The vibe inside is super cute with mood lighting and plenty of intimate seating spaced throughout. Parking in said shopping center is sparse. I'm not sure if parking is allowed at the neighboring businesses after hours, but I wanted to play it safe and ended up waiting about 15 minutes for someone to vacate their space. Our group had a couple of tables reserved and they had no problem having everyone pay on separate tabs. Service is offered both at the table and bar. Our waiter was attentive and had great recommendations for wine. When I was conflicted between two whites, he graciously brought me out both to taste and decide. I went with the Cacciabruco Malvasia/Trebbiano, which is a skin-contact white wine, so it had more of a reddish hue to it and almost looked like a rose in the dim lighting of the restaurant. I really liked this, as it was on the drier side and satisfied my palate more than the Gewürztraminer that I had also sampled. I didn't try the food but others in our party really liked the flatbreads they ordered. I do want to try these out next time because I know they will pair great with the wine! I'm glad I finally discovered this place! I'll definitely be back for happy hour and even a date night. With so many good places popping up in in Spring Branch, I'm sure this will become a regular spot for drinks before dinner

There are books abound, along the walls, in the bathroom, everywhere. I had a glass of Experience, a Californian Cabernet Sauvignon. It was a good pour, not too little or too much and the taste was deep, well balanced and smooth. Since the event took place around dinner time I also had a Fig and Speck flatbread. The fig, prosciutto and other toppings complimented each other well. The flatbread dough itself was ok but could've benefited from a little more flavor such as some garlic, butter and herbs. I also would've liked it a bit thinner so I could taste less of the bread and more of those delicious toppings. Don't get me wrong it was good and I ate all of it but these are small suggestions I'd recommend to bring it to perfection. I could see parking and seating being tricky. I was fortunate to snag a parking spot on the side of the building near the auto place and once inside I found a seat at a table with a lovely couple, another couple joined us soon after. Many of the guests who arrived later stood at first and then halfway through the event, made their way to the floor where they sat cross legged. All in all, The Library was a nice establishment and although a little out of my way, I'd return for another event or if I were in the area again.
