You can tell they put real hard work into every pizza put real hard because they are very motivated. Deep dish pizzas take 45 minutes and that should great with any one who enjoys deep dish pizzas. We never ever found the crust very tough. People who do would be better off dining some ware else. We are never disappointed when we eat there! We can't wait to go back. Supreme pizza 12 inch for two was more than plenty and it was really good. Ours came with sausage instead of pepperoni and this lovely establishment made it right but not only giving us the wrong pizza for free but boxing the correct one to go without charging us for anything extra basically we got a free pizza. Super polished and very Service oriented. My only small beef is there's no beer or wine strictly soda water in anything else nonalcoholic. I love me my beer or wine with my pie. Google says Online that they do serve beer and wine so there's a little bit of a disconnect. ;( You order the counter find a table and they bring it out to you. I read so many reviews about the gluten free crust that I was excited to try it. While I was happy to finally have a deep dish pizza I found the crust very tough. I had a hard time cutting through it. The cheese and sauce were great. The crust was just a little thin and tough. The non gf pizza looked great. The service was very slow. The cashier said it would be 20 minutes to get our pizza and it was 45. The deep dish crust was so tough it was very difficult to cut, was a weird shade of yellow and had an unusual flavor. We ate a bit of the crust and the toppings. We were very disappointed. But the worst part was within 15 minutes of leaving , we both were hit with extreme intestinal distress. If you want sub par pizza and service or need to prep for a colonoscopy, this is your place. read more

Went there over the weekend. Ordered food around 1:15pm, ordered small Chicago style pizza ( we knew it would take about 30 minutes to bake) and a two slice lunch special. My daughter went in about 15 minutes later and ordered cheesy bread. Around 2pm our cheesy bread arrived, another 20 minutes later our Chicago style pizza arrived. We asked about the two slices of cheese and they forgot we ordered that and said that the pizza they used for that was no longer good and would have to make more resulting in about another 20 minute wait time. We chose not to wait for it and asked for a refund of the two slices ( we didn't eat the Chicago pizza either) she apologized and said she refunded me the money. Two days later and still no refund! It was not a good experience. We were really looking forward to eating there. Frustrating. read more

I wasn't a fan of their thin crust pizza, but really enjoy the deep dish here. I typically get the Sawzall, and I really enjoy it. I feel like there is a good ratio of bread, sauce, toppings, and cheese. They can get pretty busy and the pizza takes longer to cook for the deep dish so be prepared to wait or order in advance. I had the deep dish gluten free pizza, and it was really good! Quality ingredients and the crust was pretty darn good for gluten free! I would definitely go again. If you get the gluten free pizza, plan to share, as it is quite large. The young woman who took my order warned that it may take a while for the deep dish...I didn't mind. It was worth the wait. And while it cannot be compared to a fluffy gluten laden crust, I really appreciate that they even had this as an option. Side note: Epicurious has an incredible stuffed pizza recipe that can be made with a gluten free blend, and it is out of this world! Just sayin', if you really want a to die for gluten free pizza...well...there is just no comparison. But this restaurant does offer a good one. read more

We are from out of town and didn't realize they were going to close in half an hour. We asked if they had time to make a deep dish and a small regular pizza for my daughter. They said yes. We kept getting up asking for a refill, where were the appetizers, napkins, etc. The staff was cleaning up and forgot that we were there and were unprofessional. The amount of thick cut potatoes was a joke. The pizza was warm and not hot. The small sausage pizza that we asked several times about still hadn't come out. When it did the waitress said they forgot to make it and that's what took long and then there was a hair in it and my daughter didn't want it and don't blame her. Amazing food! We were delighted with our 3 pizza varieties, they will do 1/2 and 1/2 pizzas as well. We had wood fired thin crusts and they were awesome. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a booth with a fun view of the downtown street so the kids were plenty entertained people watching. The restaurant is very clean, and has a nice casual modern feel. This was not my favorite pizza place I have eaten at. It's conveniently located within downtown Holland. There's abundant parking for the downtown area. They put some tables out on the street in front for outdoor dining. That was nice! The food was okay. We got a basic Hawaiian pizza. It's our favorite. They did have onions listed as a basic ingredient for the pizza. I've never heard of Hawaiian pizza without onions so I opted to not have those. The wait was LONG for the pizza to come out. It was not prime dinner time either. We got there at 4pm. After waiting what felt like 30 mins, they brought out the wrong pizza. It had onions on it! So we began to wait another 30 mins for the correct pizza. Price was okay but the overall experience ruined it for me. I would just get hungry howies delivered!!! The place is big but the service is slow. I have ordered dip dish pizza for carry out. The server was helpful while placing an order. I got one vegan cheese and other regular cheese supreme vegetarian pizza. Vegan was really good. We also had garlic bread without cheese, which was on the dry side. I really like the dairy free pizza (be sure to order the vegan crust). The first time I ordered pizza it was cooked waaaay overdone so the vegan crust was hard as a rock and a bit burned. Now I just order it light to medium baked in my order instructions and it has come. Out fine ever since. Be ready to wait in the summer for typically an hour to an hour and a half to pick up your pizza. We have never sat inside because of the amount of time it takes to order, so I just order and take out. The first time we tried to order and sit it was an hour wait for the pizza so never tried that again. We get thin crust dairy free just cheese and I get veggies on my dairy free pizza. All super good. I do want to try the deep dish but I love the thin crust so haven't tried that yet. read more

Really delish pizza -very authentic Chicago style deep dish. Also a nice touch was Fustini's basil olive oil on the tables -it added a special touch and I love that they support local. My only complaint was that the pizza took forever too cook (prob bc we got the largest deep dish) which would've been okay if we were informed while ordering. Now that Giordano's has come and gone (that was fast!), Crust 54 is the only game in town for Chicago style deep dish pizza. (I understand Chicago die hards probably don't consider this legit, but I didn't come here to fight.) Tasty pies made local and fresh and served up with Holland charm. Heard some good things about this venue and we've had the best pizza Chicago has to offer. Went with the Godfather pizza, which is basically a supreme based pie. My wife and I stopped into this restaurant during our day trip to Holland, MI on Valentines Day. Since we moved here from NJ and NY/NJ pizza is THE best pizza, we are usually disappointed in pizza. We were extremely and pleasantly surprised by the quality of the pizza made a Crust 54. The thin crust pepperoni pizza we ordered was tasty, crunchy, chewy and had a very generous portion of pepperoni on it. I HIGHLY recommend Crust 54. I just wish it was located closer to our home in Byron Center, MI so I could eat their pizza more often! Delicious, hot, melts goodness in a unique deep-dish style crust. We ordered a pepperoni deep-dish, a stuffed spinach and the Doman (bbq and chicken). All were very good. I am from Texas so I had my doubts on the BBQ but it was very good. I would describe as more of a thick, sweeter sauce, not too vinegary with a good balance of smoke and acidity. The Stuffed Spinach was rich with cheeses and had plenty of whole leaf spinach. This is a solid vegetarian option. The pepperoni (basically a build your own with one topping) was loaded several layers deep with pepperoni and loads of cheese. The outer crust of each pizza is golden with a light crisp and had notes of sweet corn, maybe cornmeal with a pillowy center. The base of the crust is still relatively thin so you're not overloaded with bread, though these pizzas are very filling. The only less favorable aspect of the visit was standing at the counter for a good several minutes before being acknowledged. Additionally, be prepared to wait a bit for the pizzas - though I think it's worth the wait. read more
