My friend Te-see and I were looking for a place to sit down, chat, catch up and have some boba. Found this place on Yelp and saw the good reviews and we thought we'd give it a try. We had to park a little further away because a lot of the parking in the lot is marked with a time limit or for specific businesses. We beat the crowd, as it did get busy while we were here. She got the taro slush and I got the lychee mint lemonade. She said hers was really good and I really enjoyed mine! It was so refreshing and the perfect mix of sweet and sour. While we were here, I just had to get a corn dog--half mozzarella and half hot dog. I opted to have them roll it in sugar and drizzle ketchup and mustard. It was delicious! My friend Danielle and I stopped by here for a Boba after finding it on Yelp. They had a lot of options which I love and they also had some food... The staff were very friendly and our drinks were ready within minutes of ordering. It is very simple inside with your basic tables and seats. We sat here for a while chatting and tried our hand at the "Claw" machine since neither one of us can resist "Hello Kitty & Friends!" LOL...but no we were not winners today:( My Taro Smoothie was very tasty! Sometimes taro has no taste...why, I don't know. This one was perfect...Not too sweet but with flavor! I had a poor experience at Coco Tea Bar (Azusa). The Pearl Milk Tea ($6.05) captures the taste of watery milk and spongey boba pearls. The drink screams, "cheap" and "thrift-store." Coco Tea Bar (Azusa) is a college student tourist trap. I arrived at Coco Tea Bar (Azusa) on Sunday (around 2:54PM). Parking is easy. The shared private lot is busy; however, there's plenty of spots. This business is across from Azusa Pacific University. Staff's friendly and welcoming demeanor was this experience's highlight. I was brightly welcomed when I entered. Staff (receipt said Hanlin) also helped me when I had questions. Customers can order on the self-service kiosk or counter. My drink took one minute and 26 seconds. Very fast! As mentioned, I ordered the Pearl Milk Tea ($6.05). This drink's default ingredients are non-dairy creamer, boba pearls, and "milk tea." It's a drink that makes me more annoyed the more I reflect upon it. The drink is affordable & large. In addition, it's a faint sweetness at "regular sugar." However, the drink primarily tastes like poorly flavored water. Most frustrating were their old boba pearls. These boba pearls had signs of being frozen and defrosted as they broke into congealed, rubbery chunks with each bite. Their outer later was also spongey (bordering on gloopy). And these squishy boba lacked any sweetness. There were moments where I genuinely pondered about throwing the beverage into the trashcan. Concerning ambiance, Coco Tea Bar (Azusa) had a clean floor but dirty tables. Some tables were smudgy, and others were covered in visible crumbs. Glancing at the glass entrance, I can also see smudgy marks on their unclean windows. Coco Tea Bar (Azusa) feels like a half-abandoned passion project. However, I did like the airy ventilation, three vibrant claw machines, and cheerful upbeat music. This location also includes a gender neutral restroom for customers. Overall, Coco Tea Bar (Azusa) is an affordable, cute, & somewhat-dirty location that sells cheap-tasting drinks. I left disappointed and a little disgusted. 2.4 out of 5 read more

I can't believe I just discovered this place! Was craving a tea drink and found this place near by! Upon entering you can see a few tables and a self ordering kiosk at the front. We ordered the lemon tea and milk tea with boba as well as waffle fries and a cheese dog! Both tea drink had a strong tea flavor which is great and everything was in a good flavor to tea ratio! Parking - The lot is shared with other shops and you will not have trouble finding a space to park. The lot is pretty decent. Corn dog - I got two of the mozzarella and hotdog. You can choose if you want sugar on the outside and I would highly recommend it. It sounds weird but tastes so good. You also have the option to pick up to two sauces to have on it. I chose the classic ketchup and mustard for one dog and the jalapeno sauce and ketchup on the other. This was my first time here and the corn dogs were amazing. Perfect amount of flavor, cheese, crust, sauce and hotdog. The corn dogs can take a while to make because each one is made to order. If you are in a rush to eat something I would say skip it for another day. Pearl Milk Tea - I got this drink at 100% sugar and to my surprise it was not sweet at all. It tasted as if it was only 25% sweet. Not sure if that is how it usually is but I am thankful they made it that way. It tasted really great to me. If you like your drink sweeter I would ask them to add more sugar or taste it first and ask them to readjust it. The boba was soft and fresh. Boneless Chicken Wings - Got this to try for fun because of the BOGO deal. I would say skip this one. It was very salty. Not worth it in my opinion. Overall - This was my first time here, and I'm so glad I stopped by. I was craving corn dogs, and they did not disappoint.. It's a great spot to grab some snacks and just hang out. They have a bunch of cute claw machines with fun prizes, and it's only four quarters per try. I also lucked out with the BOGO deal while I was there. In case you're wondering, yes, they do have a self-order kiosk. Definitely worth the visit. My husband picked me up boba and a Korean corn dog as I was just craving it. Their mango green tea was super refreshing. I got it at 30% sweetness which was the perfect amount. The boba was soft with a slight chew to it, very good texture. I got the original Korean corn dog and it was very crispy but soft on the inside. I'm so glad this place is here now. I do not have to travel to Arcadia for a Korean corn dog. This is my first time here so I just chose some thing that I would normally not get which is the squid with mozzarella and all beef hotdog. I believe the corndog is made from rice cake? It was soft and chewy with a slight hint of sweetness the mozzarella was on point. I had a squiggle of mustard and on the side got a cheese, mustard sauce and garlic butter sauce. Watch out for that garlic butter sauce. It's pretty lethal you'll need to have mints handy lol. The cheese mustard was fine. It leans towards cheese, than mustard. The squid was truly dark as you can see the contrast in the photo. The girl at the counter was really helpful and nice. The place was spotless at the time I was there in the early evening. I will be back to try the Boba tea and some other corndogs. This is located across from APU and in the same parking lot as Yogurtland and Chick-fil-A that is on the corner. (We waited about 10 minutes for our food). I opted for the all cheddar cheese dog and added potatoes for an additional $2. The cheese dog was crunchy, cheesy and delicious! I'm blown away! I have never had a Korean dog and have been contemplating on trying for some time! This Korean corn dog looks and tastes amazing. The little squares on the outside are potatoes and inside is a huge piece of mozzarella. It's dipped in their special batter and fried to order. Everything was made and dipped fresh. There are different types of sauce combos. I was a bit hesitant to go all the at way with putting sauce on my entire order but I trusted the process and it was delightful. I even tried it dipped in a bit of sugar. My tea was delicious, I asked for 70% sweetness and it can honestly be less sweet. Great experience, clean establishment. They were having a special buy one get one free special for their grand opening and then buy one get one 50% off for another week after. I ended up coming here two separate times to take advantage of the buy one, get one 50% special (that could have been used on drinks and Korean corn dogs). Over the two visits, I had ordered: Pearl Milk Tea, $5.25- I ordered two of these (one each during each visit). Both times I ordered it to be made with 50% sweetener and no ice. First timer! I saw that this newly open location was having a few different promotions so I decided to check it out. The business before this one also sold boba but not too sure why it shut down. Nevertheless, I am glad a boba place still resides in this parking lot. Today, the promotion was buy a drink and get one free original dog. Although I've never tried Korean style dogs, I was excited to try one today. Unfortunately, you only get the original corn dog with any drink as you don't get to choose. The reason I am rating 4/5 stars is because the boba in my drink was hard. I understand it was the middle of the day but fresh boba is always best. As for the corn dog, it was epic. I had asked for less ice in my beverage but I was informed for this specific drink, there is no modifications to sugar level or ice. The boba that came with this drink was quite chewy, a little on the firm side. I did enjoy it overall. The real strawberries mashed in the syrup were nice.
