English breakfast (large)
Mariah B.

First time in London and this was our first English breakfast! The large plate is a lot of food! it's in a really good location, near Buckingham palace if you're visiting there! Staff were nice and the restaurant was clean and super cute. I would go back again!

Took a bit to wait through the long line they had on a Friday morning but once I ordered, I got my food quickly! Delicious crumpets and very cozy spot, I would love to come back here sometime.

Amazing fresh crumpets and a fab Benedict! The food here is outstanding, from the traditional English breakfast to the baps and omelets, you can't go wrong! Men behind the counter a bit gruff but the service is good. A must stop!

Located near Buckingham Palace, we went immediatley after the changing of the guard, which was a busy time. However, we were able to grab a table outside and recieved our food in a timely fashion. The Crumpets with jam was very good, nothing special. My husband got one of their paninis, which was also a solid choice. Overall, a good place for a quick lunch near the palace.

Came here for breakfast when I was visiting Buckingham Palace. They offered veggie juice, but when I asked for that, they said they had no vegetables for juice. So, then I asked for water to go with my order...and they charged me for bottled water when I was expecting a complimentary glass of water. Call me spoiled, but being charged a water bottle was not what I was expecting, and most establishments offer complimentary water that you can put in a cup. I was not pleased to have an unexpected charge for bottled water. I got the smoked salmon on crumpets, which came as 2 crumpets piled with smoked salmon, with a cucumber on top. The smoked salmon on crumpet was good. It was just what I was looking for in a breakfast: something with protein, but also light and delicious. The salmon tasted great and fresh, and the crumpet was light and tasty. Quick and convenient breakfast close to the palace.

Nice.

What exactly is a crumpet? Its like a very light, spongy version of a muffin made from a batter (not dough). You can enjoy simply with butter, nutella, jam, or get more elaborate with smoked salmon and egg benedict. Crumpets was conveniently located near our hotel and close to Buckingham Palace. Its very casual - order, pay, and wait for them to bring your food while you sip on coffee or tea. Their Black Americano is very bold yet smooth! Between the egg benedict and smoked salmon crumpets, both were solid but I highly recommend the latter. The salmon did not taste "fishy" nor was excessively salty. It was just right and the add of cucumber made things lighter and refreshing. The bread was crispy outside and soft and pillowy inside. Much better than a standard English Muffin. They also have grilled paninis, pastries, and traditional breakfast items besides crumpets.

This is my second visit to Crumpets. I stumbled in on a work trip pre-pandemic, because I wanted to get out of the hotel and write a little. Plus I really wanted to try a crumpet. Win win. This time, I walked over a mile out of my way to revisit the pleasant experience. It was just how I remembered. The staff is friendly and I love the casual vibe. Had a flat white with coconut milk and a proper crumpet with butter and jam. There's just something really satisfying about biting into that slightly savory, warm dough, crisped just a little on the bottom from the griddle, and oozing with butter and jam gooey goodness that's seeped into the crumpet's pores. These are each fresh-made for each order. My colleague had one with smoked salmon and cucumber and enjoyed it as well. I'd love to try everything on the menu!

Super good panini. Crumpets were also tasty, would have liked some fresh jam, but it was good. Super good mocha coffee. Donut was a little dry by 1pm but still yummy. Definitely recommend for a breakfast.

I wanted to satisfy my crumpet craving and this place was perfect. You need to try the custard tart as well. This is a great place to get a quick, simple breakfast. The place is small so a large group of people would take up the entire seating area.

I loved the decor and atmosphere. Food: My friend and I both ordered the traditional English breakfast. I had mine with vegan sausage. The breakfast was exactly what I expected and was pretty good. I was excited they had a vegan sausage option instead of leaving the sausage off like other places. Service: Our service was quick and friendly. We were able to order promptly and our food came out in an expected amount of time. There is a bit of a time limit for stays because they are so busy, but we didn't feel rushed at all. TL;DR - Lovely place for an English breakfast

It was nice to have some vegetables and it was enjoyable. The vanilla scone came in warm and enough clotted cream and jam. The pot of tea was plenty for 2 people. The quality of tea is nothing special just a traditional British breakfast tea. The service was fast and friendly. The interior was decorated that really feels traditionally British, it was a nice touch to the overall experience. Cute tea cups were used as well.

Around here it's all been the main chains, and lunchtime sandwich bars. Quality's therefore ranged from acceptably-above-mediocre to DIRE. With the arrival of Fabio & Charlie and The Flat Cap Coffee Company however all this has changed, and proper coffee can be found in the streets of Westminster! Fabio is an expert barista with incredible knowledge and attention to detail, and insists on using high-quality ingredients (incl. Square Mile Coffee) to produce a cup which is something I genuinely look forward to in the morning (as opposed to the routine "heart starter" that a coffee once was). The prices are on par with other places around the area - somewhere in the vicinity of £1.80 to £2.20 depending on what you're having. They also sell a very tasty range of pastries & whatnot brought in from Villandry, although you've usually got to get in pretty quick in the morning!

They had a variety of options including a souvenir English tea box set. I did consider getting this, but it was a little pricey just because it gave you a souvenir box. We opted for a caned g&t, iced coffee and scones. Overall, all of the items were tasty. The space however, was quite crowded and had a very high number of bees buzzing about. So many that we had to move to a different spot, but that area was also active with bees. This resulted in us cutting our visit a bit shorter than we had liked. Since you can't take pictures inside the palace, the spot is a good one to snap some pics of the outside of the palace and allows you to say you've had tea at Buckingham Palace.

It's like having a tea party at the palace just without all the fancy tea cups haha :)…read more I got a cappuccino which was so adorable! They used powder to make a crown on the foam. I also felt the need to drink tea too (so I could say that I had tea at Buckingham Palace) so I decided to get the peppermint tea which was very soothing. Along with the drinks, my family and I shared a few of the goodies from the café such as the salmon and cream cheese on an english muffin and a few desserts. Our favorite treat hands down was a type of strawberry short cake (not sure the name but i'll upload a picture). We had to go back and buy another after. Besides the food and drinks, you get to enjoy it all with the beautiful view of the gardens.
