She put us in the charge of the bartender, who brought our drinks, took our orders, and checked on us regularly throughout the meal, even though she was doing double duty. We had a large lunch, so we weren't going to eat much for dinner. As soon as I read the menu I realized I was going to have a hard time deciding, but I love cinnamon ice cream, so I knew I needed to leave enough room for dessert. I ended up ordering the grilled cheese, which came with bacon (hold the tomato), and the homemade chips as my side. Everything was delicious. I brought half of my meal home, and it was just as delicious when reheated with my air fryer a few days later. My husband had the Acres Pretzel, which was huge and yummy. (I had a bite to try it!) The cheese sauce with it was thinner than expected, but very good. We started out with a Manhattan for me and some Lena Brewing caramel pecan coffee stout for him. Mine was perfectly crafted, and I took a sip of his, which was also yummy. In addition to my cinnamon ice cream, we each had a dessert drink. He had the Chocolate Caramel Kiss, and I had the Banana Bread. Again, very yummy. The cost of all of this came to under $75, which we thought was marvelous. O M G! The flavors on this one just pop! The feta works with the naan, which is firm enough to support the toppings without being crisp or hard. The flavors blend together so well, it may very well displace our prior favorite, spicy battered cauliflower. On to the main course. My wife selected their shrimp tacos, which provided 4 tacos on white tortillas, with sour cream and guacamole. She really enjoyed the flavor. I tried the new Greek burger, which was a burger with red onions, feta again, and a large burger I ordered medium rare which actually came medium rare. The feta worked with the other flavors and that burger was GOOD. Very tasty, very tender, and it went down well. For drinks, my wife had their Tito's Mule, and I had their Dogfish Crimson Cru, both of which were very good. Service was prompt and attentive. The restaurant has an old west / USMC ambiance, that works well. The staff and the menu changes are definitely on par with changes in the past - that add value and taste. The place was busy, but not crazy busy - no reservation, they could seat us. Beware of Homecoming Week or Autumn on Parade - those events will likely require you to get reservations or wait a while. We were promptly seated, and within a few moments, the Texas Toast arrived, fresh off the grille. How fresh? It was too hot to pick up initially. That came with our water. We went over the menu, and the waitress provided the specials, both Prime Rib with Lobster Tail or 2 Shrimp. My wife selcted the Prime Rib with 2 Shrimp, and I went with the 10 ounce Filet Mignon (biggest filet in the area) and a baked potato. Also, they are now offering cheese curds, so we ordered those for an appetizer (although their Saganaki is darn good and FLAMING!) You can add in all sorts of extras, I went with a few pepperocinis, some onions, green peppers, mushrooms and blue cheese dressing, along with a small plate of beets to help improve my red blood count. They also have potato salad and macroni salad. The salad was excellent - everything was fresh, and just perfect. About the time we finished our salads, the cheese curds came out. They were good, and were served with a small dish of Ranch dressing. Right after we finished those, the main course came out. My filet was cooked to order (and if you want, you can go watch them cook your steak on the grille,) at medium rare, and was seasoned just right. Some places you have to hit the steak with salt or pepper - not here. Just perfect seasoning. My wife had their 16 ounce Prime Rib medium rare, and it was quite good. It was served with Au Jus and Shrimp Sauce for the shrimp. It was so big she took a good amount home. I should mention the baked potato - it was cooked properly, and the butter and sour cream blended well with it. See the pictures. Not sure where others are coming from with their reviews.
