Great place to get wings! They have mild sauce to "light your soul on fire" sauce. The coconut shrimp was very good. The server is great, super friendly and patient. I love the bar, it feels like a neighborhood hangout and it's clean. Come check these guys out! read more

Kind of a dark dimly lit place. But cozy. Owner was pushing tables around when we got there, which was right at 4pm opening time. Very kind lady. Told me about the specials, told me about what was on tap. Had a beer from Lexington brewing company. Kentucky bourbon vanilla cream ale. (The beer is made, and then sits to cask condition for a while, inside of a bourbon barrel) Awesome! I had the wings... thats their specialty. Had the boneless. They had a light batter, very crispy.. . I had a dry rub, with sauce on the side. They did not taste greasy , or felt heavy at all, but were filling. Loved them. Place was fun. Hands down the best place to get wings in the area. After trying places in Rockford and the surrounding areas, Chile Pepper takes the cake. Not only are the wings meaty and crispy, they have an abundance of tasty sauces. It's rare to find a place with incredible sauces that also pack a punch. Their hottest wings are some of the absolute hottest I've ever had. They have bar seating but also a sit down area near the bar that your entire family could fit in. Servers are always friendly and prompt. Chile Pepper is a must try for any hot-wing enthusiast. Don't forget to try the "Butt Blisters" and "Anal Assassins" sauces. read more

The Interior of the restaurant looks like an 88 Buick had sex with a k-mart restroom. They have a completely asinine policy of "no carry-out". Their website doesn't mention or explain this. So I went out in 3 degree weather (before I learned of this policy) to bring wings home for my family on a cold December night. Sat down, asked for wings to go and she replied, "we don't do that" Now you're wondering, are the wings so good that they can have these crazy policies? No. No they aren't. They're fine. They are maybe a 5 out of 10. But Father and Sons is 2 blocks away... so just go there. read more

Love this place! I'm from Oregon but go to school in Wisconsin and this is the one place I have to go every time I come home. If you love spicy wings this is the place to go. They number the spiciness of their wings from 1 to 10. I really like spicy foods but I can't even go above 6. They also have a type of wing that's so hot they won't let you take them out of the bar. They however have very limited seating so any parties over 6 they recommend that you make a reservation. read more

Stopped here on our way back to Chicago. Was not dissappointed. We all had the Friday fish dinner special and was great! Hot out of the kitchen! Loved the fries and coke slaw too. We also ordered wings to share among 3 of us.thr wings are meaty. It was a LOT of food. Taking the left over wings home for lunch tomorrow. Best wing place I've been to around this neck of the woods for sure! Great breading and well made sauces/seasonings, plus you get a lot of wings for the price. Be warned that they're prettty hot, even the lower numbers, so I might go a level lower than usual ;) only reason they're not getting 5 stars is because it's so tiny in there - it's hard to find a place to sit sometimes, and the tables they do have are a bit cramped, would not recommend for large groups. read more

This place is great! The food is fab. We ordered a burger that was totally yum! The fries were crispy and the nachos ... well, honestly you'd have to cross the border to get better. Our servers name was Dorene and man, what a personal gal!! My husband and I didn't run out of things to talk to her about. The owner checked in on our food too! The food is pretty good, but if you are not one of their favorite customers, the service is terrible. LONG wait for food, unfriendly service. They seriously act like they are doing you a favor to let you eat there. Odd rules that change frequently. Seating is only at uncomfortable high top tables, and the wait for even a drink is incredibly annoying. First it was only burgers or wings for take out. Then it was wings only. Now there is no take out. It is just sad if you are not a regular (we tried for that status but were so put off by the attitude we have given up). Wish I could say they are just struggling like so many restaurants are with COVID, but this is how it has always been. SAD. read more

Place is dirty, cob webs hanging from the ceiling. The peppers also hanging from the ceiling were completely coated in dust. Waited forever for food. Meatballs were completely tasteless and had no sauce or anything on them. Will avoid in the future. read more

Great family run place, Awesome wings with many flavors, you can order them spicy levels 0-10, butt blisters and anal assasians. Level 5 is when they start adding habanero dust beware. Awesome fish tacos on Tuesday nights and Friday lunches. A bunch of other good bar food. If it's busy could be a bit of a wait but food is always worth the wait. read more

I've been here a few times over the past few years and I love this place. Small, welcoming joint with a handful of small tables and a decent size bar. First time my buddies and I went here, a local suggested to try their wings, so we did...and they are AWESOME! But be careful, for they have a heat scale from 1-10 which you add to whatever flavor option you choose for your wings. I am someone that likes some heat but not too hot. I won't go over a 3. My buddy that loves the spiciest foods tried the 10s and couldn't finish them. They even have an 11 and 12 but you have to eat the 10s before you can graduate to the higher heat levels. As long as you choose your proper heat selection the wings are delicious. I also recommend the burgers...they rock! Fried pickles and cheese curds are really good here too. This is my favorite place in Oregon to get drinks and food. The owner is a doll and she genuinely cares about whether or not you like the food and are having a good time. Warning: The portions are huge! A heaping plate of the taco salad is $6 and easily 2 servings. My favorite thing to order is fish tacos on Tuesday nights. Yum! we grabbed some wings here saturday night for a bonfire - ordered 2 servings of #1's and two of #2's (they rate their wing temperature on a 1 to 10- scale). i had eaten here previously last fall - ordered a #3 then and was too hot for me. the wings were quite good as i remembered them, just not quite as hot. the atmosphere of the bar is quite cool for a small town. a nice sit down bar area and seating for about 20-25 people. while waiting for the wings i played some video games at the bar. got hooked on picture seach - the adult version!!!! read more

Worst service I ever had! Bar tender took my order and then let me wait an hour and a half before only giving me half of my order. She told me they were not going to serve me because I was going to take it home. Sorry that I had a 6 month pregnant wife a home who wanted wings and that I drove 15 minutes to get there.
