Broasted chicken fingers, hashbrowns, breakfast for dinner
Yvette Q.

This was our favorite restaurant in town for both its food and service. Went twice -- once for dinner and again for breakfast. We particularly enjoyed the broasted chicken and hash browns. And I know it's something random to stand out, but I really liked the iced tea and 80s music.

Friendly local family restaurant that features breakfast all day but broasted chicken is their specialty. Service was fast, tables were clean and food came out piping hot.

Italian beef and onion rings

Food was good fresh and very fast on Mother's Day . Loved the onion rings. 6 battered shrimp were very good. Patty melt was big, the rye bread was not a strong rye flavor, hard to tell it was rye. The Italian beef sandwich was very cheesy delicious came w/bowl of juice, I chose not to have peppers. Again loved the hand made onion rings, light crispy batter. Served very quickly, & politely by Montana! She was so nice. A standard family diner, nice and clean.

Typical family restaurant with a giant menu and crazy low prices. Friendly service. The three of us ordered a wrap, breakfast platter, and a burger. Breakfast was very good, but usually these types of places are superstars at breakfast. The wrap was pretty good. The burger wasn't that great. We also tried a shake and a malt, okay but it would have been better had they not added so much chocolate sauce into the mug before adding the shake/malt. They have a neat mural that depicts the surrounding area.

Small town diner with a lot to offer. The serve breakfast all day, with a HUGE variety of options from omelettes, skillets, and of course they are famous for their cinnamon roll that they make into French toast which is MIND BLOWING. Gravy on the potatoes was a little bland. Sausage links had great flavor ! They also offer a salad bar with basically any meal. Great service !

Great food, friendly service, and a wonderful down-home country atmosphere. Generous portions as well. Highly recommend it!

We were there for dinner, my son who had breakfast was happy but to my point he had pancakes and eggs, both items you have to make fresh.

Maxson's Pride of Oregon, a paddle wheel boat, is truly a hidden gem. The friendly crew described…read moreits history--built in 1989 as a replica of the Rosie O'Shea paddlewheeler. A portion of its journey from the shipyard to the Rock River was actually made overland. The interior of the main deck is appointed with attractive woodwork, and there is a bar. The upper deck is open air. Ample seating is provided. This was a lunch cruise and our group was seated and served upon our 11 AM boarding. The quality of the food (catered by Maxson) and service exceeded our expectations. We began with rolls and a generous tossed salad with Italian dressing. Our entrée choices were beef bordelaise, fried catfish, and a vegetarian plate. The fork-tender beef was cloaked in a red wine sauce and the fish, though heavy on the crust, tasted fresh and was greaseless. Our sides were fresh steamed veggies and a twice-baked potato. Chocolate cake was served for dessert. There were pitchers of lemonade and water on the table, and coffee and tea were offered. Our leisurely cruise upriver lasted two hours and ended at 1:30. Travel is limited to a 7-mile-long navigable stretch of the Rock River. Narration was provided at various points of interest. We spotted at least two bald eagles onshore. Just delightful!

Horrible buffet never again! I can see now why only 4 people were there for lunch! Too bad nice…read morevenue
