When the Vibes are right, the vibes are right. My wife and I have been wanting to try this place out for awhile now and we finally made time to have lunch here. It was a beautiful day so we chose to sit on the rooftop. What a beautiful view of the city and the river. It was a little chilly with the wind but we endured because of the view. The restaurant itself was not super busy but definitely steady. Every single staff member we interacted with was so incredibly friendly. We felt very welcomed to be there. We shared their Imposter Sandwich (Tofu) and a large order of Tots with the Sauce Sampler. The sandwich was phenomenal! Crispy, flavorful, & large enough to share. Tots were also cooked perfectly and seasoned well. We both left VERY full. My Only complaints/criticism was that their sauces were mostly misses. We only liked 1 or two of the ones we tried. They also don't offer a sauce with any heat. I personally prefer super spicy and really wanted more spice with what was offered. Also as a vegetarian, I never understand how a Tofu sandwich can be significantly more expensive than regular meat sandwiches. That part is always frustrating to me knowing how cheap tofu is. I also do not run a restaurant and do not have intimate knowledge of the overhead cost of things so I am totally ignorant to that part. It just can feel "predatory" because it's the only option for people that dont eat meat. in closing, this place is Awesome! They have amazing food, an awesome location, great staff, and this place would be a good experience no matter the party you came with. I definitely recommend giving DIsco Chicken a try. read more

This place has a unique, fun atmosphere, and lots of different chicken choices. The layout is 3 stories and seating is a little tight but love that they have one of the only rooftop bars/dining areas in the city with a great view! Ordered one salad online and it said it would be ready around 6:25, but wasn't ready until 6:40. I was bummed at wasting 15 minutes waiting inside, especially since my order was small, so I wish their estimates and online ordering were better. I probably wouldn't recommend coming here if you're in a rush. Once I got the food, though, it was one of the best salads I've had in a long time (technically called the "Disco Greens"). It was good! Reasonably priced, ample portions, I'm coming back for sure. It was one of the only options in Rockford to eat something quick near the Sports Factory. Seating was tight and they seemed crowded during the Tuesday lunchtime hour. Quick service. Got the Drop It Like It's Hot sandwich- crispy outside, hot steaming juicy chicken. Fries were good. Yes yes yes!!! This establishment is !!! A bunch of us stopped here late but early morning, after our ax throwing adventure, to grab a bite to eat as we carried on my birthday/ graduation celebration, and i'm glad that we stopped here! We had a fantastic time! The honey chicken and tots were seasoned just right and we're yummy! I'm definitely looking forward to returning in the future. If you're ever in this small city, be sure to stop and eat here... you won't regret it! The location is perfect! There's parking across the tracks literally next to the establishment. read more

Had for the first time today. The lemonades were good! I got boba added to mine and liked it. The sandwich was ok. It was a crab Rangoon one that is apparently pretty popular. Like I said, ok, wish the bread was a little crispier because of the sauce making it a little soggy. Flavor was alright otherwise though. The Bamboozeled with crab ragoon cream sauce, sweet chili sauce, jalapeño and cabbage slaw was absolutely delicious, super messy, but delicious! Can't go wrong with corn elotes either. The Rodeo tots with crispy chicken, white cheddar cheese sauce, bacon, BBQ, disco sauce, and fried onions was a flavorful spectacle with every bite! The staff was attentive and very friendly. Killer funky chicken spot. In the old taco Betty's, which is a fantastic downtown location with a perfect rooftop overlooking the river. Hot chicken sandwich was easily the best chicken I've had in Rockford. Tots were ultra crispy and the fried pickles were breaded and cooked perfectly. A little greasy but that is to be expected somewhat. Service was solid but slow on a Saturday lunch. And the multi story layout isn't very conducive for groups or kids. That plus the pricy bill knocks off a star for me but overall this is a must visit and likely going to find a way into your Mount Rushmore of chicken sandwiches read more

Had to try this place after it came to town. I had a lot of coworker say it was really good and they had entertainment as well. Chicken sandwich was really good. It was crispy outside, tender inside and the flavor didn't overwhelm and complimented the sandwich nicely. The tots were tots. The slaw was apple-based and very good, a nice change from the usual. The homemade donuts we took home were really, really good. Overall, a good stop to add to your rotation of local eats. read more

so many good things about this place: kaylee my server was super nice right from the start and was very attentive and followed up frequently without being overbearing. i ordered the hog party meal with apple slaw and dill pickles along with a strawberry lemonade, and let me tell you, this combo is it. if you ever wondered what was missing from a standard buttermilk chicken sandwich, it's the melted white cheddar with bacon and fried onions paired with a refreshing strawberry lemonade (which was the right amount of sweet and i think they also make in house). portion size for the sandwich is also just right and well balanced. the only gripe i had was that there wasn't enough apple slaw and the pickles weren't dilly enough, but that's a completely different topic. ambiance is second to none and comically fun without being too artsy to the point where it's annoying. music was also entertaining and not obnoxious or loud so one could enjoy their meal. will definitely be coming here often especially when the weather is nice and the rooftop is open! read more
