Tired of going out to restaurants and getting ripped off with awful food and poor service. I decided to take my wife and try The Crows Nest Restaurant. Made a reservation about an hour before going , the place was packed. We were seated within 10 minutes of our reservation time. Not only was the Hostess Personable she was very attentive to all the people arriving. The food was excellent and the service was superb. I can't wait to go back and try something else. I had the steamers and liver and onions , my wife had the Fried clams And everything was cooked to perfection. If I could give this place 10 stars I would!!! You know it's like the old saying You get what you pay for but at this place you get more than you pay for when it comes to the service the food and the prices. read more

First time ever going here and I really enjoyed everything. The steamers were delicious and it's nice to know that they have them all year long. The only negative is that there was a child sitting at the bar with his dad. Children should never be allowed to sit at the bar and the staff should know that. I love this place! I drive from NH just to go there for lunch some weekends as I spent about 20 years going with my late husband. It was our favorite "cheers" restaurant everyone knows everyone even if they've never met, you can chat with everyone there. The staff is amazing and Kim is the best, sorry Doug. This was a bonus find to us. We were directed here from the proprietor of a local seafood market...what better recommendation, right? We were pleasantly surprised by the very friendly staff, cozy atmosphere and waterfront location. The food was served timely and was delicious! My husband and I split a fried seafood platter...not the healthiest option but worth the calorie splurge. The menu offered this baked as well and I'm sure that would have been just as yummy. That being said, the perfectly battered seafood was fried to a golden crisp and served piping hot. The clam chowder comes as either red (blasphemous for this Mainer, but whatever :) ) or white and my husband reports that the White was delicious as well. They tried to pass off burnt lobster as normal My mother and I ate at Crow's Nest Restaurant in Warwick, RI on the evening of August 14, 2020. She ordered the baked, stuffed lobster and I ordered the stuffed shrimp. While we were waiting for our meal, we smelled something burning. The smell didn't last too long so we blew it off. When the waitress placed our meals in front of us, mine looked normal but my mother's baked, stuffed lobster looked burnt (the claws were dark-red to almost black). When she tried to crack open the claws, they wouldn't budge. She asked me to do it and I couldn't do it. The claws were hard as a rock. When we asked the waitress about it, she said it was normal and offered to either have the meat taken from the claws in the kitchen or give my mother another meal. Ever the trooper, my mother asked for the meat to be taken from the claws. While the waitress was in the kitchen hacksawing the claws open, my mother attempted to eat some of the meat in the tail. It was like rubber. It was at this point that I convinced my mother to get something else as the lobster was unedible. She was happy with her new meal. After we paid and left, I thought about what had happened. First off, they should never have brought out the lobster in that condition. They should have been embarrassed to serve something like that to their customer and to pass it off as normal was insulting. They also should never had charged us for her new meal. Their treatment of us speaks volumes about how much they value their customers. Not much, if you ask me. Sadly, I would never eat at Crow's Nest Restaurant again or suggest anyone else do as well. read more

I am so upset that I forgot my cell in charger at home because photos would say everything. My husband had the day special Chicken Pot Pie which comes with salad. Huge! The Crows Nest is, and has been, one of my favorite restaurants for years. The food here is always excellent. They have a great variety of seafood and other American and Italian style dishes. My favorite dish is the lobster roll. It is a roll that is filled over the top with delicious lobster. Anyone ordering it will not be disappointed with the large pieces of lobster, not just shred and lettuce. My wife often orders the ahi tuna and loves it, especially with the broccoli au gratin as a side. Always cooked perfectly. The service here is also great. Once you start heading there often, and you'll want to, they will know your names! They are quick and always delightful. read more

The others in my party of 11 their Food was lukewarm and had to send one persons steak back and the other was credited on the surf and turf it was completely loaded with fat and unseasoned. The food was ok but the owner and staff were rude. They took my phone to validate a 5 dollar coupon and took forever ... well after 20 mib they put my phone back on the table I took and put it in my pocket to my surprise when I was driving and my phone rang I took it out to answer and to my surprise there was a Crack across the front. I did call and the owner said we didn't do it ,I said I knew that is what you were going to say. She took my name and number and said she would call me back. Never did so I called back and she was the rudest person ever. She said I looked at the tape and no one dropped your phone.and she hung up on me I knew I wasn't going to get anywhere so I just called my repair guy who said it looked like someone stepped on it which it probably was. Replaced the screen but still didn't function properly. Had to buy a new phone. I've only one thing to say about this place go try it the food is amazing and wonderful service on top of it. I've been in here with my friend and I'll tell you I've always been treated like Cinderella when she went to the ball. One time they're was supposed to be an hour wait for a table but the owner asked a nice gentleman if he could do a table switch she'd give us table 16 and he'd take table 17 she explained that I liked to have Lois and he agreed with a smile. The lady took us to our table 5 minutes later and we had the best experience of our lives the food was wonderful and the drink was exactly the way I like it. Went to try the newly renovated restaurant with a total of five people. The inside looks great, but the experience was absolutely terrible. We sat down and had one waiter, an older gentleman, who apologized for forgetting our drink orders. We told him no problem. We ordered salads and apps to start, which took 40 minutes to come out. We asked once, "any word on those salads" and magically they appeared two minutes later. After that, he came over and said we were reassigned to a new waitress (?), but he stayed serving other people in the dining room. A bit confused as we had not complained. The entrees took another 30 minutes to come out, at which point we had been there almost 2 hours. At this point, the waitress could tell we were getting annoyed and apologized, but we still watched four other tables who sat after us, get their food before us. The food came, and beside one minor error, everything was good. Not five minutes later, a bus boy came over and tried to clear away a full plate of food while my friend had his fork literally in the rice on it. By this point, we were obviously incredibly irritated. We let the waitress know and all she said was "he is new". The bill came and not even a single lemonade was taken off the $230 bill. We didn't ask to speak to a manager or have anything taken off, because I'm still in shock she didn't offer to do that after she agreed with us that it was ridiculous how long we waited. I was going to speak to the manager on the way out, but it was busy in the bar area and I didn't want to cause a scene. I tried to call 4 times after we left, and no one answered the phone. We all agreed we will never step foot in there again or recommend to anyone. We've worked in the restaurant industry, so we still tipped 15%, but all the restaurants we've worked at would have had the class to make amends prior to us leaving. Got a gift certificate for Christmas and finally got to go the night before Mother's Day. The wait was an hour long but luckily found 2 seats at the end of the bar. We were looking for a nice seafood restaurant for lunch after an appointment in Warwick, and happened upon this place. We were greeted as we entered, and were promptly seated. Our waitress was cheerful and took our orders. My wife ordered the lobster roll, and I had the scallop roll. The portions were large, and everything was prepared to perfection. My wife thought her roll was one of the best she had ever had. My roll was made with the bay scallops and were tender and sweet. The French fries were great. We were trying to find an alternate route home because we had run into construction backups on the way down, so we needed to get a map from AAA. We asked our waitress if there was an office in the area. She wasn't sure, but checked with other staff. She then came back with directions to the office, and even drew us a map. She was very helpful, and went above and beyond helping us. She was cheerful, efficient and friendly. We certainly will stop here again if we are in the area. read more

Terrible Experience, what happened to Crow's Nest? Tuesday evening July 17th we went to Crow's Nest in Warwick with our friends from Florida anticipating a nice dinner. Were we disappointed. First, we ordered cocktails and my first impression was they had to be joking. The martini glass had maybe a 1/2 oz of liquor poured over the lemon twist. The side car was maybe half full. I am used to a full Martini glass and full side car at other restaurants we patronize. If we had been by ourselves I would have sent them back to the bar and said forget the drinks. We ordered calamari and when it came out it was so unappetizing I did not bother to eat it. Those who did thought it might have been previously frozen. The biggest disappointment was the main course when we ordered the baked stuffed lobsters. Our server said there were five lobsters left and there were four of us, so we thought we were fine. Not so, our server should have said we have boiled lobsters available, not baked stuffed. When served our lobsters were soaking wet, full of water and lobster fat, the stuffing was luke warm. It was obvious these lobsters had not been in an oven for long if at all. These were not baked stuffed lobsters and were not at all appealing with all of the liquids. Even the French fries were bad, not cooked? Considering we spent over $200 for dinner it was disgusting. This was the worst restaurant experience that I have had in over 10 years. The steamers were full of grit (and the restaurant didn't even give you real butter to dip them in - they give you some butter-flavored oil like the kind you get at the movie theatre for your popcorn). My husband's stuffed fish was way overcooked. My son's seafood in white sauce over pasta was absolutely tasteless and my stuffed shrimp looked unappetizing (the stuffing was dark brown, consisted of only breadcrumbs with no crabmeat at all and had a hard crust from being overcooked). The restaurant was packed, however... a testament, no doubt, to their large portions and fairly reasonable prices. If you love large portions of bad food, then this is the place for you. read more

"Call ahead seating" usually means you call ahead, and get seated when you get there. If you tell your customers when they get there on time for their reservation that they'll have to wait at least an additional half hour... why bother calling ahead? Dinner tonight was not up to the usual standard at Crows Nest. My wife ordered the bake stuffed lobster and it was overcooked. Lobster was stuck to the inside of the claws and was very tough.I ordered the prime rib rare and it came out medium with a red center on top the bottom of the rib was brown.Tasted like it was left over microwaved. Red chowder was all potatoes toes and hardly any clams but the broth was tasty, friends said the white chowder was decent, but still loaded with potatoes. Linguini with white clam sauce was bland. Needed seasoning and garlic. Fried scallops & clams were unexciting. Friends broiled lobster was so dry.
