Fantastic selection and incredible customer service!!! Fritz and a coworker truly went above and beyond finding me the perfect pieces of flagstone and even stayed after hours. Prices are reasonable and delivery was simple and inexpensive. Look no further for your landscaping needs this place has it all! read more

My husband bought more than 100 paving bricks one morning (after already purchasing 500+ of the same brick.) We were short 18 bricks so I stopped by on my way home. The gentleman didn't realize that we just spent $180 on bricks earlier and tried to charge me $175 on these 18 bricks. I cannot say if it was my gender bit I've seen other women have trouble here as well. My husband had to go in and ended up paying the normal price of $30 for the bricks. read more

Our GO TO spot to get great quality supplies for our very large backyard. Super nice and knowledgeable workers like Joe who take the time to show you around so you can decide what's best for you. Their setup is convenient and helpful so you can see the materials in a true aspect. Did I mention the delivery is awesome. We couldn't be happier to have them close by for all our projects going on. read more

Last week was my first time purchasing a large amount of ledgestone. This was my first project so they took the time to tell me the differences between the real / fake and cement vs non cement backing. Then they took the time to take me in the back of the warehouse to show me the actual stone before I purchased it. They ended up running out of the corner pieces I needed to finish the job so they had a rep personally drop some off the next day. They communicated with me via phone promtly about the status of the last bit of stone I needed. They have a really nice selection, the staff was all very knowledgeable and great to work with. Worth the drive if you need great stone and the price seemed very low for the quality. read more

I've been in construction for 40 years. I ordered a specified amount of material and received about 1/2 the amount. I complained and received an extra yard of material. This company clearly shortloads their trucks and thinks that Joe Homeowner hasn't got a clue. Would not recommend them for materials. read more

Great customer service. Awesome pricing! Kattia Saravia the sales rep defines the word "CUSTOMER SERVICE". Great experience

Went there today to pick up a few random pieces of stone to finish my pond and they were VERY helpful. Very inconsequential order given what these guys typically deal with, but still very courteous. Will be back. Thanks! read more

Great service, spent time helping determine amount of stones needed for my project and types that might fit our needs. Expansive selection provides many options, very pleased with our experience. read more

For your landscaping needs, questions, quality materials and FANTASTIC service ask for Fred at Crown Hill Materials. Fred is amazing. He helped me with my questions on top soil AND suggested free delivery. But the amazing part was his delivery. I have a small cemented area behind gates that he got his truck in and unloaded the soil. There couldn't have been more than 2 inches on each side and he did it. I hope Crown Hill realizes what a gem they have for customer service in Fred. I will be getting all my landscaping supplies from Crown Hill Materials. Thank you read more

Called in concrete mix and was told not a problem you can call us anytime. But when called to get concrete delivered charged extra 150 dollars. read more

Bought 1100 sq feet of sod. The sod was delivered on schedule and the process was easy. It was a little hard getting a hold of the company via phone and at the store during their scheduled hours; however I call a few times and finally got a hold of someone and I was able to schedule a deliver for the next day. read more

Great customer service I had bought some bark to be delivered the driver did a great job on dumping it exactly where I wanted it, they have an impressive variety of materials at reasonable prices that is the first place I will go for any of my future Landscaping needs read more

Do not go there! I am a local contractor for 30 years and I spend a lot of time buying materials. This was one of the worst experiences that I have ever had. The younger person that I dealt with was combative and arrogant. I believe has was the owner. Use Crown Hill in American Canyon or Napa. The prices are actually cheaper and have a different owner. read more

I have been very happy in my dealings with Crown Hill. Their advice, service and prices have all been great. My wife and I visited the Vallejo and the Napa store to ask questions and get samples. Our backyard renovation calls for installing about 150' of retaining wall. I ordered 6 pallets cinder block and 1 pallet of mortar on a Tuesday and all was delivered on Friday as I had requested. The driver went out of his way to get the forklift all the way into our backyard right next to where we needed to build the wall which saved us a ton of work carrying block. I am about to place another order with Crown Hill for the stone veneer to finish the wall. We were referred to crown by some DIYers in our family. So far everyone has had a good experience with them. read more

This place has everything! Would definitely recommend. Gus was extremely knowledgeable with their products and was able to get me exactly what I needed for my retaining wall. He went above and beyond to make sure I was able to get my material on time. Great customer service and willingness to help! This was my first time going to this company but not the last time.Gus was patient, informative on the products and knows his products. When we had all the stuff delivered, we met Wendell. He represented this company with pride. Helped everything run smooth and came on time. So, you now have life long customers and very happy to spend there hard earned money with your company. Crown Hill Materials is a great place to shop for all of your landscape and masonry needs. I have worked with Crown Hill for the past year in landscaping my back and front yard. Don't just take my word for it or anybody else's go try them out for yourself. read more

I decided to buy some rocks from this place but was told a $10 higher quote from the previous quote just a week ago. It is so sad that they do not honor the price that was quoted by their staff. I can definitely afford the extra $10 dollars. But I feel unfairly treated as a customer by the second staff. Too bad they lost my business over just $10... read more

Before I buy, I search reviews. I'm interested in being a customer of high quality businesses with customer service that people brag about. I confess, I usually read the reviews, but I do not usually post reviews for others to read. Today I'm posting this review of Crown Hill Materials...because I have something to brag about and I want return the favor from others that have helped me through the years. I'm building a retaining wall in by back yard...not something I do everyday. But I'm up for the challenge. I needed to find a place to purchase the material...and I needed some place where they would answer my technical questions and not make me feel like I'm being a pain in the butt. Crown Hill has been exceptionally helpful throughout the process...even after the sale! Another bonus was the customer service from the Crown Hill Team. I had many "special requests"...such as splitting my order up into two separate deliveries over a 6 week period. I needed some material delivered in the morning during the week and other material delivered on a Saturday morning. The deliveries were right on time!!! To top it off, the geogrid that I ordered was on back order and it was not part of the original delivery. The owner of Crown Hill knew that I was going to need the geogrid within a few days. Once the geogrid was delivered to Crown Hill, the owner (Raj) let me know it arrived and Raj drove it to my house that day! That is great customer service!!! I highly recommend using Crown Hill for your next project. I certainly will be using Crown Hill in the future!! read more

I don't know what people are talking about. Maybe it's competitors putting bad reviews on to get the ratings down of this place. I've never had a problem with this business. I usually don't write reviews but this place deserves a good review. I drive an extra mile to go here, Great customer service and excellent price for the material. read more

I've bought material on 3 occasions..good customer service, except 1 time we had to wait a fairy long time ..when in the store..but they were helping others, so maybe a little under staffed that day. We also ordered rock and it was delivered 2 hours later.. So super fast on the delivery. read more

I recommend anyone that is looking excellent landscape material for your house or business. I have had a great experience with this company. They saved me so much money that other landscaping businesses were trying to charge me extra for no reason. I'm going to telling everyone about this place haha read more

I went into buy some ginger rock and some blocks for a retaining that I was extending. They helped me figure out what and how much I needed. They were very courteous and the delivery was on time. Will repeat and recommend. read more

I rely heavily on Yelp for honest feedback, therefore I have provide this review in that spirit. My wife and I purchased supplies from Crown Hill for a DIY landscape project. Generally, they are somewhat helpful and the customer service has been adequate. However, things went sideways quickly. We purchased a bag of pebbles for about $8 only to find that they loaded the wrong color and size. We didn't notice this until we started spreading the pebbles; nothing on the bag indicated the size or color. My wife tried to return the bag for the correct material only to be treated poorly and abrasively. The guy at the counter dismissed her immediately and stated emphatically that the opened bag can't be returned and that it was her mistake. She said the person loading the bag made the mistake and that she simply wanted to exchange it. No dice. He was rude and ready for an argument. This for an $8 bag of rocks. No wonder they have a sign prominently displayed in several locations "We retain the right to refuse serve to anyone". We had spent nearly $500 for materials and this guy wanted to tick off a customer essentially for their mistake. Frustrate the customer and then refuse to serve to them because they're frustrated...nice customer service. All of this for a lousy $8. Incidentally, the guy did give us a new bag...but the cost is going to be much higher than $8 to Crown Hill as we'll be taking our business elsewhere. read more
