I get a call about two hours later telling me that the battery is dead and he wanted to put in a new battery. The battery was pretty new so I said that I'd go to the battery shop and get a warranty replacement. I went to the battery shop and told the battery guy what was going on. First thing, he put a load tester on the battery and it tested OK. Just to prove the point, he put a new battery in and I still had problems starting. So, no battery problem. I took my car to the shop in Rockville that usually worked on my cars and, sure enough, the starter was failing and was replaced. I went back to Tad and told him what happened and asked for a refund of the $60 I paid for the bogus diagnosis. Ha! He said that his guy had SMELLED the battery and he knew that it was bad. No refund. I figure that he wanted to charge me for a new battery, claim that the battery wasn't the problem, and then charge me for the starter. The battery lasted another four years. TAD? Never again.

As seems to be common at most of the gas stations that participate in this grocery store promotion, including this Shell ststion, their gas prices are up to 20 cents a gallon higher than some other nearby gas stations that do not. So in the end some of the benefits to consumers are negated by the higher prices. I'd personally rather cash in my flexible reward points on future grocery purchases instead of on gas purchases.

Well let me tell you. If you are coming here for fuel, you're in luck. They have plenty of that, no need to worry about not being able to find that. But if you actually need an item like a snack or drink, you might have a better chance picking an item that they don't have. Most of the shelves and coolers are severely understocked. It looked like it was a setting for a level in one of those online games where you stock and run a store. Even items behind the counter were understocked as well. I was able to grab a bottle of water at least.

They wanted over $1,100 AGAIN to replace rotors that they installed less than a year ago. They said, " come get car, keys under matt". Prior to this experience, I liked bringing car there as it is family owned and close to my work. Unable to discuss situation on phone as they didn't ever answer and relied on texts only. Closed mid day when went there to talk about it. Like I said, Mind Blowing!

After 2 months and reviewing the service manual I discovered that he didn't refill the ATF after replacing the A/T cooler hose to the radiator! After I put in a quart of ATF everything worked great. The bill shows the repair wrong as "engine oil cooler hoses" (which I don't have) and doesn't show a charge for ATF either. Asked for a partial refund and he said no. He said you should have brought it back sooner - that's a joke since mechanics never find intermittent problems! Plus, I'm not going to waste more of my time there - professional mechanics are supposed to do it right the first time. That's what I'm paying for! Pretty sad that a "professional" mechanic wouldn't refill the ATF after losing some during the repair.

I really wanted to have a good experience with Universally Modified…read more I appreciate They are a family run and worked business of brothers and Ryan's wife. But they will not properly torque fasteners. There had been a metallic rattling since the first time I had them install the front sway bar. I drove it that way for six months or so. They always said the reason for the metallic rattling was because of the BMR components I had them install not having the rubber bushings. Then when me and another guy put my 2022 Mach 1 up on a lift and started looking it over and working on it we were disappointed to find Universally Modified destroyed my front sway bar end links due to not torquing down fasteners and using zero thread locker! I asked them multiple times to use the proper thread locker on all the fasteners. So after fixing the sway bar properly, the car is silent now! Um multiple times have not torque down or at least used a thread locker to keep fasteners from totally backing off. Universally Modified also did not tell me about an exhaust leak we found. I have put a lot of thought for weeks into thinking about/processing the information to make sure I am doing the right thing. They also couldn't get my wheel weights to stay on my wheels. But the plus for them is they did suggest a good place to go and have my Wheels properly Road force balanced. Each time something was not done right I tried to be calm and decent about it when I communicated with them. when I told Universally Modified about each issue, they did not apologize and didn't say what can I do to make it right, didn't say it would not happen in the future, nothing. I feel unsafe using Universally Modified due to them, causing my car to lose control on the street or on the track, and kill or enter others and myself! They will not answer or return my phone calls I tried calling multiple times to communicate with universally Modified in order to speak with them and get their side/viewpoint before I posted this.
