It's like right in what I would call "old towne" Laytonsville (though I'm not really certain that's a thing). But yes, gas prices are really good here, and the pumps are always all working. The card chip reader is working as well. The gas station is clean. There's a couple of entrances and exits. What more can you want in a gas station really? Cheap, convenient, clean, and it's never usually too too busy.

I had to repeatedly ask the employee standing a couple of feet from me no less than six times if I was just supposed to use the men's stall. He ignored me for the longest time, never acknowledging my existence. My husband was desperate for coffee, but there was only the bottom of a cold pot and the heater was off. Today NONE of the card slots worked on any of the pumps. Usually it's just the debit cards that do not work. So I go in and ask to fill my tank, wanting to leave my card as collateral. Nope, I have to know how much I want to put in. I give him the amount, and when I return to the pump, the amount I am being charged is 10 cents more than the only price advertised outside on the street sign. It seems to me that if you are going to inconvenience the public, then they should get some sort of deal out of it. I know it's my fault for returning to this ridiculous station that caters to pothead needs more than driver needs; that is why I am giving it two stars rather than one. I will not return for gas, or anything else, anytime soon.

Come lunch time, you'll see tradespeople of all kinds come through, all clamoring for burgers. The only drawback is that the grill closes down at varying times just before dinner, but you can call in advance and ask them to keep it open for a few minutes so you can grab something to go. I haven't had a better burger since the old Quarry House in Silver Spring, MD.
