The service was incredibly attentive and welcoming. The fish and chips? Hands down the BEST I've ever had -- perfectly crisp on the outside, flaky and tender inside. And the seafood chowder was beyond words. Rich, flavorful, and packed with seafood. Of course, the beer was fresh and delicious, just as it should be. The fish and chips did not disappoint and the portion size was very generous. If I had to pick a flaw I suppose I would mention the size of the container of the tartar sauce that comes with the meal is very small, about three smears worth. Also, omg, look at the chips! Those are some unique shaped chips, at first I thought they were potato chips that were fried but no, they were French fries that looked like a potato chip. We stopped here after visiting the cliffs of Moher, the restaurant is located in Doolin County, which I believe has a cave you can visit if you want to get some more adventures in after a great meal at a terrific authentic Irish Pub. After just a few minutes of chatting with her and perusing the menu we all felt like she was an old friend we'd known a while. Two of us had wanted the Shepard's Pie and she told us there wasn't any available yet and just as we were about to order something else she beamed that it had just come up and we could order it, which we did. The other two in our group ordered hamburgers. Our meals were swiftly served and... just wow. WOW! I'm no connoisseur of Shepard's Pie but if there's a better one out there I'll never find it. It was simply stellar. The hamburgers were also incredible. We learned, quickly, Irish food is usually served unseasoned or seasoned very little and it's up to the person eating to season it to their taste. Both the ladies in our group added a little salt to their burgers and fries and said their fresh burgers were awesome. The owner, Ginny, came out and joined our conversation. We learned she was from the states and she told us some about her experiences in Ireland. All in all, it was just a super nice visit and meal. We all wished we could visit again soon. If you're in the area, and you can make the time, please do yourself a favor and swing by. I can't imagine how you could possibly be disappointed and you certainly won't leave hungry!

I admit to being very excited about the prospect of seeing them perform and expressed this by shouting out when I saw them! After about 30minutes waiting at the bar for the backroom to open I was unfortunate enough to have my drink spilled on me by a fellow bar user. I then slipped on the spilled drink and was saved by my loyal companion Wendy and a bar staff member from hitting my head on the floor. Shortly after the fall I was told I had to leave but no explanation was given. I returned there today but was not given an explanation for their actions. I could say all kinds of subjective opinions about their actions but I will stick to the facts, I was asked to leave because I fell on a drink that was spilled upon me. It feels very unfair. Across the road in another pub the customers and staff went to great lengths to reassure me that this is the way of the Greyhound bar. They do not respect their customers and they were rude uncaring and they have no rights to serve alcohol if they don't want their customers to enjoy it.
