The perfect stop on a road trip!
Hubby and I stopped in today, a typical chilly rainy spring Irish day, and we were so glad we did!
Warm fire, darling waitress, and absolutely fantastic food. We both ordered the bangers and mash and were watching the steeplechasing on television when she stopped by with a plate of fresh bread and two sauces because 'the bangers take a bit'. Bread was wonderful and we were both starving so we dug in. When our food came we were even more excited. Apple and sage sausages over mashed potatoes with a delicious gravy, and two sides to share. One side was carrots and turnips and the other was creamed peas with leeks.
All around brilliant. Easy to get to, great food, nice and snug, and a perfect lunch. read more
