Stella is new to boarding and still learning how to socialize, so this was a huge adjustment for her. Despite her tiny Bichon Shih Tzu stature, she definitely put up quite a fight! The staff was incredibly patient and did their best to make her feel comfortable. One staff member even went to the store to get some of Stella's favorite fruit, which meant a lot to me. If your dog is already comfortable with boarding and other dogs, I think this is a great facility. I loved that there were cameras, and all the other dogs seemed to be enjoying themselves. Stella just wasn't ready for that experience, so I don't think multi night boarding is the right fit for her. Though, I would consider doing daycare for her at this facility! My only feedback is that she came home smelling strongly of urine and the kennel, and her coat was heavily matted after four nights. I was told baths need to be scheduled in advance, so that's something to keep in mind if your dog has a long stay. Overall, I'm grateful for the patience and kindness the staff showed Stella. I was so happy that I was able to experience feeding the giraffes and that they actually feed them a whole Leaf of lettuce it's a bit of a on the pricey side $15 you get about half of a bunch of lettuce but to be able to feed them the whole Leaf it was amazing because other places you would only get like strips of carrots. We were there a bit early and so most if not some of the animals were all out and that was so nice to see so I did enjoy it a lot. The only downside was the food the food trucks were closed and so the only choice we had was the outdoor one in the cafeteria until we did choose the outdoor one and the line wasn't even that long but the two boys that were there I guess they were new and it was a part-time thing it was so disorganized that we waited almost an hour for our food. The food was okay for Zoo food but I would eat it again it's just the long wait. But this suit was amazing I highly recommend feeding the giraffes I wish they also offered more animal encounters like feeding the goats and whatnot but I would definitely be coming back. The bathrooms were cleaner than most so we were super grateful for that! We loved that there were so many animals actually in their exhibits unlike other zoos we've been to. The animals were actually rolling around and running around playing so my son loved seeing them. The food is super expensive, and any souvenirs were even crazier. We wanted ice cream but various places had their machines not working, for the amount of kids and the heat it was a let down but we appreciated the zoo for being so clean and shady. Parking is $17 in the north lot and $20 in the south. There were tons of busses but still ample parking. Overall a great visit. Be sure to check your local libraries for museum and zoo passes!

The parking situation at Walmart had me a little confused because I don't know directions of Southwest.But I was able to find where the busses, which seemed like two would run a continuously. When dropped off, it was a short walk to get to the front to pay your entrance fee. You could use cash or credit. They had a small open field for where they did presentations. If you want to be able to sit down, I recommend coming a little early, otherwise you will either stand the whole time or you can choose to sit on the grass. It's not a very big place.So once you walk around, you kind of see all of the animals, some a little bit harder to spot. It's cool to see wolves and learn a little bit more about that them about the tigers and the bear. They also had silly safari come out to do a presentation which was really cool to be able to be up close and personal with some of the animals that they brought. They do have food that you can buy on site.If you're feeling a little hungry. We did get a raffle ticket, but I have no idea when the raffle was happening as we didn't stay all day .But overall, it was a fun experience.It's so you make it what it is. You catch the bus back to the walmart parking lot where they dropped you off.

When going there and back, it seems like there were 2 busses making frequent trips, so the wait was fairly short for the shuttle. The process of getting in was fairly quick and efficient, with separate lines for cash and credit. Near the entrance, there was a large space for watching presentations, which were fairly well done -- similar to what I've seen at other similar shows. It would have been nice to have some more bench seating, but this seemed sufficient -- with most patrons standing and some sitting down on the grass. The remainder of the facility featured animals scattered throughout different cages, and some chickens running around throughout the farm. During my visit, many of them were resting though at times they would walk around slowly. Some of the smaller animals were a bit more difficult to spot as they would blend into their surroundings. Overall, a fun experience and one of the few spots in the midwest where you'll be able to see several wolves together like this (I believe Wolf Park in Indiana and Brookfield Zoo are the other ones nearby Chicago - with other options in Ohio, Minnesota, and Missouri for a slightly longer trip).

Although, my wife was getting tired of losing fish we'd purchased from a store in Tinley Park and was losing interest from the hobby. I explained my dilemma to the store owner and he agreed to help me win my wife's trust back into the hobby. Let's say I haven't lost any live stock since working with him. Bobby and Julia are excellent instructors who are skilled, friendly and patient with their students. We found these lessons to be a healthy activity to do together as a couple and a lot of fun. The instructors are skilled and constantly finding ways to help us improve our dancing skills. They offer many opportunities to learn with private classes, group classes and awesome parties. I can't believe the transformation in our dancing as a couple. We are thankful we found this gem in our backyard in Orland Park!

The counselors and care givers at Shady Oaks are angels on earth and are led by Scott Steele, who has been the camp director for I don't know how many years but it's a lot. All of the staff at Shady Oaks work so hard and have such fun with the campers and we are so grateful for these people. Thank you Shady Oaks for being there for our son for the past nine years. This coming year will be his 10th and he can't wait.

They work tirelessly and spend any amount of money necessary to save a dog in their foster care. I am a proud foster failure of Pet Profile Rescue and now I help foster other dogs (even though I want to, I can't keep them all). Without these amazing people helping rescue these puppy mill dogs and nurturing them back to health, many many dogs would have died needlessly...but instead they have wonderful new loving families and safe homes. During my interview I explained to Cindy that I wasn't sure if I was ready but this guy caught my eye etc. He was already pending adoption so I was bummed bc I felt like he was supposed to be part of our family. Fast forward a week later and I get a call that his first applicants fell through due to their extensive travel plans, I brought him home and we all adjusted to the other and by week 3 we were in love. After finding out more about him/his history I really felt that my dog that had passed sent him. What I really appreciated about the rescue is how thorough they are in the process and they make sure it's a fit for everyone. They knew I might not be ready but gave me a chance and it worked out for everyone. I can't recommend this rescue more.
