    Corn.....
    Joee L.

This place was packed on a Saturday...for me personally it was too crowded on the 1st weekend of October. I would recommend it for kids ages 3 and up. We came with my one year old and there wasn't a lot for him. He LOVED the corn pit though. He could have been in there for 2 hours. There was a corn maze, we went in the big but came out the small...3 different types of hay rides that was confusing about which one you were in line for...with a long line. They had an Elvis impersonator performing at the performance tent but it was freezing in there. Overall a good value but too crowded for my liking.

Great for all ages, not just kids. Extra points for being dog friendly. If you want your money's worth go on a weekday where it's less expensive and less crowded. It's a bit small and disorganized. Not worth a long drive, but if you're in the area and happen to pass by this is a nice corn maze to visit.

Group # - 4 Purpose - Fall Fun Pros -A lot to do with the kids. Playground, magic show, petting zoo, horse back riding, corn maze, shops, bars, hay ride, bounce pad, etc. if your looking for a place to spend 2-3 hours, you can do it here. Cons - some of the things to do were out dated or broken and could use some repairs. Large crowds of people, which meant long lines for somebody the things to do (hay rides). Likelihood to return (1-10) - 8 Reason - Our kids had fun (8&10), and its only 45 minutes from the windy city.

This is probably one of the better corn mazes in the area. My husband and I went here to enjoy some fall activities and there are a ton offered here; especially if you have kids. They can climb hay bales, ride the cow train, play games, and go on the jumping bean. However, adults can do a ton too! They offer a wide variety of alcohol and live music in their barn. You can go on the hayride, get lost in the corn maze, pet adorable animals, play games, take cute pictures, and shop in their store. They even have great opportunities for photo ops to post on your instagram. To top everything off... you can bring your dog! We were able to enjoy a fun fall day with our puppy. Now, having a dog with you does limit the things you can do. After all, the dog cannot go on the hay ride or cow train; yet, you can bring them in the petting zoo, which I thought was really cool. You can even bring your dog in the barn with the live music; however, it was pretty loud. I loved having my puppy with me!  Overall, I thought it was really fun with great options for things to do. It is still really pricey though. Definitely come here if you have kids.

We came here on a Sunday so the place was pretty packed and there was like a 5 minute line for the tickets but it went by quickly! This was my first time going to a pumpkin patch so I have nothing to compare to ...but I had a lot of fun!! There were a lot of fun activities for the kids ...but we went mostly for social media pictures and I highly recommend this place if that's something you are looking for also. There were a lot of cute spots for pictures with pumpkins, corn maze, animals, etc! If you go here, you must try the apple cider donuts here!! They are so worth it!!! A bit expensive but money well spent! The ticket price wasn't too bad also! No worry about parking because there is a lot of space for parking also!

Both pups really enjoyed their time at Konow's Corn Maze. They especially loved the hayride. Love the atmosphere and everyone was super friendly. Definitely recommend bringing your pups to enjoy some fall festivities with you!

Most of the things here are free. Pumpkins that you can pick are at very reasonable prices. Food and drinks are at reasonable prices too as well as other merchandise and other fall related things that go on here. They had a corn maze that I did not check out at all. Visiting the animals was probably one of my favorite things at the farm. It's not jam-packed like a lot of the popular locations. The only downside I would say was that the staff is a little bit untrained especially when it comes to money handling since the one cashier when I was paying for pumpkins didn't know how to count cash even though I gave him exact change. Overall, you should not pass up on this place at all. 4.5 Stars

They have a huge play area with wooden structures such as a school bus, fire truck, and castle. My young girls enjoyed the pretend play on the vehicles and going on the slides. There is also a section with huge stacks that are perfect for climbing and taking group pictures. Some things to take note of: 1) There is a section with plenty of port-a-potties. We were there in the morning so the port-a-potties were all relatively clean and unused. 2) The food section isn't that big but service is quick. We tried the cheese pizza, poor boy, pork chop on a stick, cheeseburger, and donuts. We would definitely order the poor boy, a cube steak sandwich, and pork chop again. They did an excellent job with grilling the meats and both had a nice sear while retaining moisture. The donuts were mini-size and came in baker's dozen so it was easy for our young girls to dig in.

I saw a Facebook ad for a combination goat hang out and brewery flight (via the Fever app "Brews and Baahhs"). My two favorite things!! (ha ha) So I bought the tickets and was not disappointed. It was one-hour with the goats, then you went to One Lake Brewing down the street afterward for a free flight (and we ended up buying dinner). The owner, David, was there and chit-chatted and answered some questions. Then did a few things around the property while we just hung out and petted the goats. I have never had such an up close and personal experience with a goat. They are a lot like dogs. They were hilarious and very affectionate. They wanted to climb all over us but we were prepared for that. It's a shame that David mentioned they might only be doing this for a year or two more. I'm sure it's a lot to maintain, especially during these crazy times. -But it's very covid safe. For what we did, you can wear your mask and you are left alone with the goats in a huge open pasture - so it's not a people-crowded event. I highly recommend it - it was a lot of fun. In case the number is not on the profile - he gave me a card with contact info: 847-226-9510; glennartfarm.com for more info.

This is in the Austin neighborhood right next to Oak Park. I never realized I lived 10 minutes away from an urban farm my entire life! The chicken coops are at this address and then the yoga is down the alley in a field right by the firehouse. You can't miss it! They have the area fenced in with 20+ goats! I adore all animals and heard that goat yoga is a great way to relax and rid anxiety. I was fully present and in the moment when I was surrounded by these adorable goats. I will definitely recommend this to everyone who has never done goat yoga before. This was a more affordable option too! Usually if you go to goat yoga in the city tickets are around 50 dollars this is closer to 26 bucks! Not bad. Such a great time. David and Carolyn seem like the really take great care of their goats. David was telling me how a mother goat rejected her baby goat and they had to bottle feed the goat every four hours! They name the goats really cute names and tell you about their life and temperament. I wanted to take one home with me! They were clean and lovable. I will definitely come back :) NaaaaaAaamaste ‍

However, its also the same canned goods you can find at a lot of other places... I didn't see much that said "Windy Acres Farm". There is a bakery which did sell a few peach items but I expected more peach food items from a peach festivals. We did pay extra to get into the kids activities. There was a little sectioned off toddler area. Then there were kids and young adult things like football tosses, tug of war, slides, and a petting kid. The grill had some items like peach BBQ pulled pork, but also loaded fries/nachos and hot dogs. Again... not many peach items for the festival. The bar did have some peach drinks and they were okay. Everyone working at this place was very friendly. I did not have any issues during my visit. However, the prices for the peach was very pricey. Two bags of peaches (which holds maybe 10-12 or so) costed me around $45. So I think it was around 5.99 or so per pound. Sadly, my toddler was acting up so I didn't read the sign properly. However, I did not expect to pay so much for so little peaches Overall, I did have a fun time and I would check out the other festivals but I don't know if I would pay more for the kid things to do..and I wish there would be more themed food items.

Really disappointing and crappy. The chili and soup were okay. The egg salad sandwich was very basic and lacking flavor, served on classic white bread. It was also a weird dining setup, it felt like we were eating in a giant and deserted beer hall. Total transparency: we both expected more from one of the nation's largest dairy farms. We also thought the food would be a little cleaner, like a farm-to-table experience and less processed, but it tasted like food we could get at a gas station. My husband was disappointed with the ice cream selection at the milk bar, he was hoping for more of a variety other than the basic strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, etc. We also needed to get DEF for our truck from the Fair Oaks BP and my husband called it "highway robbery" for the cost we paid. He said it was 2 or 3 times what he normally pays. In summary, a total tourist trap with crappy lunch food. I also didn't know about their animal abuse case from 2019 until after we left. And the allegations about neglect and improper slaughter in 2023. Gross and sad.
