Amanda and Will were great to work with. They even went out of their way by picking up our cars and dropping them off after servicing them.

Now I normally take care of all…read moremy maintenance such as brakes, tune up's etc. I have a trust issues with other mechanics and dealerships. But this was fluid service, (the nasty stuff) trans fluid flush and fill, brake fluid flush, rear differential drain and fill, + my AC wasn't cooling as well. I did my homework and gathered about 5 estimates for this service from local shops and Toyota dealerships. Prices were coming in anywhere from $1000 - $1500. I stopped in at Christian Brothers in Leander on Sonny Drive and spoke to Brandon. He text me a written quote, which came out about half of what the other shops were asking. They also give a "Veterans/First responders" discount. Their work was professional, and they communicated with me all the time. They sent a video of a free service inspection of my truck, pointing out any areas of concern. I think I've found my back up mechanic for anything I can't do or just don't want to. Thanks Brandon and the team at Christian Brothers in Leander. My truck drives straight and the AC works like new. Michael C. - Georgetown, Tx.

UPDATE to owners response (Check Photos):…read more I strongly dispute the claim that my vehicle had "years of neglect." I have documentation showing I received consistent oil changes and maintained the vehicle. If Christian Brothers is going to make that public statement, I am requesting that you provide the specific records, dates, inspection findings, and supporting documentation you are relying on to claim neglect. My concern remains the same: I paid for major repairs, the vehicle failed shortly after, and my concerns were not meaningfully investigated. I am not asking for assumptions -- I am asking for documentation, accountability, and a fair resolution. The central issue is the timing. I drove my vehicle without engine failure for months before bringing it to your shop. After relying on your diagnostics and authorizing nearly $4,000 in repairs, I picked the vehicle up and the engine failed within a day. Given that timeline, attributing the failure to "years of neglect" without supporting documentation is an overreaching conclusion that appears designed to shift blame rather than address my concerns. I repeatedly informed the shop that I was preparing for a long trip and wanted everything thoroughly checked before approving repairs. I was told further diagnosis could not be completed until the turbo work was done. After the repairs, I was told the vehicle was good to go, which led me to believe all necessary inspections had been completed. The engine failed within a day of pickup, which is why I continue to question whether everything was properly diagnosed before the vehicle was returned to me. _____________________ My experience with Christian Brothers Automotive Leander has been extremely frustrating. I brought my Hyundai Tucson in for major repairs totaling nearly $4,000. Before authorizing the work, I specifically asked that the vehicle be thoroughly diagnosed and that any known issues or potential issues be identified so I could make informed decisions. Shortly after the repairs were completed, the vehicle developed severe engine knocking and became inoperable. The timing alone was alarming. I expected the shop to take my concerns seriously and work collaboratively toward answers. Instead, I was largely left to manage the situation myself while dealing with towing expenses, rental costs, missed work concerns, and the stress of being stranded with my child. The biggest issue for me has been customer service after the failure occurred. Communication became difficult, and I felt that my concerns were dismissed rather than investigated

As for my financials you couldn't afford to cover me for most of anything. You're supposed to fix the car THEN i pay you. I was hesitant every time you asked me to pay for stuff. Here's another red flag for anyone looking to hire Frank. On my recording you came to ask for payment because you were late and having problem paying your taxes. I told you over and over I didn't want to take you to court because I am not that guy. You lie about the transmission issue. You didn't cover squat or offer the towing out of your pocket or pay for extra oil to be generous. It's because I was direct with you and. It happy and told you I would be reviewing this kind of post. This is why you flipped and started offering me these things because you knew I was going to take you to court. You offered free labor on the transmission as a way to negotiate with me to keep from going to court. I kept record as I said of you and I talking when you offered immediately to have my car towed. I have a completely well recorded and documented list of other things I will not share but in court that show you dropped the ball over and over. No I did not want to pay you money until jobs were completed . I showed pics of how bad my car was when I came to pick it up. The hat is why you had it detailed as you absolutely should. I'm done here and will update after court. I've asked you over and over the last couple weeks for a detailed receipt of charges and repairs and you've yet to give me one. What kind of business can't give an actual normal receipt of repairs. This is another red flag .

People who grew up in a small town…read moretypically knew the one mechanic to go to for great service, fair prices and an honest assessment of the service to be performed. That mechanic would come out to greet you when you entered the shop while wiping his or her hands with a rag. You would be greeted by name, after you'd been there a time or two, and you would have a quick conversation, not to talk about the repairs to be done but just to catch up. Well friends, this is that mechanic in Liberty Hill. His name is JD. My truck is 12 years old and has started having things go awry that are simply due to age and long use. I've bounced around from shop to shop hoping to find a mechanic like JD. I've visited those shops you walk into only to be greeted by one of the sales guys who are simply there to inflate the number of repairs that are needed and to convince you their high prices are justified. You get none of that from JD. He asks for the symptoms of the problem and then he gives a quick assessment of the problem based on his years of experience vehicles similar to yours. On my first visit I immediately knew he understood the specific problem with my truck because he'd personally made the same repair many times. Probably the best compliment I can give JD is this is a shop my Dad would have taken his car to for service. He would have appreciated the simple, honest relationship he could have with him knowing he could count on him to take care of his vehicle quickly and efficiently. That's my experience. I believe you'll experience the same if you take your vehicle to JD.

Matt got back to me right away when I reached out and was able to work me into his schedule the very next day. I initially had gotten a quote from a national chain auto shop, but it was extremely expensive plus they wanted to charge me additional money to run a full diagnosis. Matt saved me money and time. He showed up when he said he would, diagnosed the problem accurately right away, and got me back on the road. He also had awesome communication both on the phone and via text. I'll be going back to Matt for sure in the future if I ever need mechanic services. Thanks again Matt!

While Matt is a skilled mechanic, I would love to see a bit more warmth in his customer interactions; he can come across as a bit reserved or smirking, whereas his brother--who I've also interacted with--is much more jovial and puts customers at ease. Overall, I highly recommend them for their technical skill and competitive pricing.
