I did a couple drop-ins in the area, and l loved Crossfit Milpitas. I was worried about an injury and the coach immediately planned for alternative workouts I can do. Plus, the energy coach Vito brings in is better than a morning coffee - thanks CF Milpitas!

I PR'd today. 315 on the deadlift! Thanks coach Steve!

All right, I told myself that I would write a review about this place a month after I've been going and hopefully have gotten duke. Well, it's been a month, I'm still alive, but I haven't gotten duke yet. Why? Well, to get duke, I have to check in about 300ish times.... and that isn't happening anytime soon. So Crossfit Milpitas is the place I've chosen to be a part of after examining the other boxes in the area. I'll give you yelpers a breakdown of why I chose this place and my analysis of those who are thinking about joining. Why did I join CFM (Crossfit Milpitas): - Great coaches (very knowledgable, very smart, hilarious, and great role models) - All skill levels are welcomed - Great environment - Classes starting from 6:30 AM to just about 7:30PM - All the WODs are posted on their website - They are part of a great community in Milpitas - Everyone motivates you to try your hardest and you don't feel judged - After being a gym rat for the better part of my life, I needed to discipline my workouts more and challenge myself - They have community workouts on Saturday to help you get your feet wet in Crossfit - Every day is a new challenge - Did I mention friendly people? To put it all together, CFM is just an amazing environment and an amazing box to be a part of. The coaches here are phenomenal and they try their best to get you to your own personal goals. I want to give a personal shout out to Steven Yong who has been my coach for the better part of my time with CFM and he exemplifies what it means to be a coach. If you're here reading my reviews, and are considering joining CFM, I highly recommend doing so because it gives you an opportunity to challenge yourself every single day that you're going. ----------------------------------------------------- Things to consider: - Parking lot is limited, however you can always park at the lot across the street (don't worry, it's not too far and your car won't get towed) - It's expensive (a bit more than the other boxes in the area from what I researched) - $1,750 for an entire year - $200 per month (you can cancel at any time) - $149 per month PER YEAR contract ($50 charge per month that you do not use in the year contract. So if you go for 10 months and decide to cancel, you'll be charged $50 dollars for the remainder of the months left in that year contract; 2 in this case) - Classes can sometimes be really full, but don't worry, I haven't seen more than 14 in a class at any one time ----------------------------------------------------- So I HIGHLY recommend joining CFM if you're thinking about joining Crossfit. Here's my final breakdown that helped me make my final decision: - Great people - Great coaches And that's really it. The people you surround yourself with is so important to me when I'm sweating my ass off, and surrounding yourself with people who are supportive of your efforts but pushes you to get that last rep in is who I want to be around. Best of luck to you who decide to join! It'll be a challenge, but what isn't a challenge in life?

Giant rig!

Regardless of one's experience or comfort levels, anyone can benefit from their functional training for a better lifestyle, improved athletic performance, or simply having more fun. I am an amateur figure skater with specific athletic goals in mind when it comes to finding trainers, and 3FIT really stood out. When working with trainers, I hope for not only someone to keep me on track, but also someone I can learn from. The 3FIT team checks all the boxes. Marcel is very professional. He configures the gym in a way that any workout can be performed (be it fun or draining), and always keeps the clients' interests in mind by offering training advice, customizing programs, and providing a wide range of interesting group classes that welcome everyone to join. My main trainer, Smitha, further widens my horizons for training. Her background in yoga has helped me improve my flexibility and strength all at the same time. It's also the first time I've had a female trainer with whom I can comfortably discuss health concerns and receive advice and support. I would have continued to train here for the long term had I not had to relocate elsewhere. In short, if you have specific fitness goals like myself, definitely check this place out. Even for someone just starting out, 3FIT is perhaps the most welcoming and accommodating training space one could find. The knowledge, dedication, and client-first mindset the team has cultivated over the years can truly help everyone in their fitness journey.

From your first workout you are family and everyone here is equally invested in your goals. I'm the typical yo-yo dieter/newest gym fad gal and I've been coming to FNS for 3 years. That's like a decade in fad girl time. This place was built with heart and sweat. The workouts are intense but you can go at your own pace. There is always someone in class at your level and you won't feel intimidated like you might at other gyms. When you give up and don't show up for a few classes guess what happens... they text you to check-in. I've never seen that happen at the 1,000 other gyms I've tried in my lifetime. If you're ready to hit some goals while having fun and doing it all in a healthy way FNS is for you. Don't sleep on it ;)

Coach John was very helpful and frequently went around giving clients feedback, so you almost feel like you have a personal trainer. The gym really is so nice, new, and clean. They also let you borrow gloves. You can try one class for free (with your friend) or a whole week for $5. I paid $5 and went twice so far, after all it is a small business. Love the energy in here!

The schedule doesn't work with my work schedule so I needed to cancel. I messaged the "help" on the app several times and got NO RESPONSE. Today I texted the owner directly because I was charged $228 for membership. I was told that I will need to pay this $228 as well as ANOTHER $228 next month to cancel. This is outrageous I only went to the gym 2 times last month due to scheduling. So $684 for going to a gym TWICE! I also pay for unlimited and if you schedule a class even if you book it only 30 mins before they charge an additional $15 to cancel that. I've looked into several other gyms in this area that are half the price and do not charge those fees. As well as do not lock the door on you if you are a few mins late. They also have a fair cancellation policy of 30 days which is absolutely reasonable. ___________ Update because now this is a LIE. Their response claims I attended the gym 7 times in the past month, I posted a photo from their own app that CLEARLY STATES 2 classes in 30 days. Screen shot FROM TODAY. I have a sick and dying dog that is now costing me $500+ a month at the vet and the added costs are stressful enough. And before they remind me that isn't their problem, trust me I know. A 30 day notice to cancel is absolutely reasonable and acceptable I totally understand but 60 days ridiculous! The California LAW states 30 days and anything beyond is illegal. ---------------- FINAL UPDATE I received an email stating that my membership is now cancelled and I will not pay anything past today's payment of $228. Thank you.

It wasn't until I moved away from the South Bay and trained at other gyms that I fully appreciated how special Smash is. While other gyms are good, they simply don't compare to the experience I had with Coach Rudi, Jose, Tristan, and the rest of the team. If I ever move back to the South Bay, or even just visit, I'll definitely drop by for a session.
