The Sunday Open Gym trainer on site, Scott, was friendly, welcoming, and actually willing to jump into a workout with me. We did the partner WOD they'd posted from the day before. The programming was beautifully brutal! Definitely the perfect medicine for a weekend away form my home box. In the short time I was at the gym, I could tell that the owners and trainers care about their members, welcome visitors, and are great advocates of the CrossFit community. They encourage their members to have clear goals and the coaches participate in continued learning classes. This is a budding box that is definitely worth a visit when you are in town!

I had done some crossfit in 2011, but not at a set gym. When I arrived I noticed that there are people of all types of fitness levels. This was comforting since; I'm not in the best shape, but not in the worst shape. I am motivated by all types. I've been attending the 0545 class and it's been great! I ended my trial period and signed up. I loaded the app wodify and now I can check in to the class prior and check what the wod is. I love the accountability and the challenge of logging my workouts. There is a dashboard on the app which allows all gym members to see your results. It also gives me a little star for my top performance.

I Constantly pick up weights and attachments just to keep my own sanity; as employees leaving the front counter seems to be too much work. Have had issues with not having my scan in card and employees turning me away to drive home to get it. Even though I've been a member longer than they have all worked there combined. Machines are still the same as when I started, with the occasional new machine that they cram into a free space providing limited walkways. Let's not start with the arrogant and egotistical Lighthouse crew who think because they work there that they have dibs to the equipment. All in all, this place kinda sucks. But it's close by and on the cheaper side of things. So my membership continues

They even used the diving board a few times. They thoroughly enjoyed it. The downside of our visit was the three young adult girls wearing g-strings and walking around small children. My youngest was horrified that he could see their "tushies". There's a place for such things but it's not in a children's area. It's indecent and I was surprised they were allowed in. I mean.... you have to wear shoes to enter other establishments... you should have to wear some kind of bum covering in the presence of children. IMO.

The instructor threw an object out for the kids to dive and retrieve. My daughter cannot swim yet and is building her confidence. When she threw out my daughter's object, my daughter tried but couldn't get it. She said the water was right up to her chin and needed help. The instructor wouldn't help her, although she had helped all the other children with this task. My daughter tried to move the object with her foot to get it into a little shallower water and was reprimanded. In the end she didn't pass the skill. When she came back to the parent area she was in tears. I did not confront the instructor. I mean, she is about 16 years old. We had an issue like this the 1st year when the instructor lacked patience. That year we left after the 1st day and didn't return. I have emailed the Station before but never get any response back. If your child is not already confident in the water, then lessons her might not be appropriate for your child.

It was my first time in last week and I was surprised of how nice this location is compared to expressway one. The bottom floor when you walk in, you'll see the child car area on the left and classes, locker rooms, and entry to the pool through the locker rooms on the right side. Oh and also, I think .. small class studios. Right in the center of the gym is where you will see all the free weights, racks. Suitable for squats, deadlifts etc. Everything is super clean here as well it seems like. The up stairs where you'll see more cardio work machines. I haven't really gotten to look in depth but so far I'm really loving it! PS :: Try out and see if you are able to get a free pass online!!! It's all worth it
