I stood there for about 10 mins, he never even acknowledge my presence, just talking on the phone and smiling. Returned about 1.5 hours later. The same guy was flirting with a lady, never acknowledged my presence. After a few minutes, Daniel, assistant mgr appeared. I started by mentioning that the previous mgr offered to waive enrollment fee for me. Daniel said it was impossible for him to do. I offered to pay in full for a whole year - no help. But Daniel never mentioned that Crunch website was offering enrollment special for a reduced enrollment fee of 26 cents. I've decided to to pay in full anyway, for convenience. Daniel wrote a contract where numbers make absolutely no sense, he never offered to show me the contract ( I trusted him because I had such a good memories of talking with Patrick, the previous manager) The total is $189. Almost $50 more than the website offer. The next day I wrote about the problem to the manager@crunchRoslindale.com. Five days and no reply. I was out of state for 5 days. Today, 1.4.2026, I went in person to try resolve the problem. Daniel refused any help. I am surprised that $50 is more important than a happy, retuning customer. Jay Halicki

Crunch Fitness in Roslindale is an okay gym to go to. Unlike Planet Fitness, they do have free…read moreweight squat racks here so if that's important for you to have, definitely go to Crunch, over PF. Price for membership is quite affordable and good bang for your buck. It does get pretty busy here though but that is the downside of gyms like Crunch and PF. Honestly though, it's all dependent on the time you go! Squat racks are usually taken if you're coming in afternoon or evening time here.

No one even bothered to call an ambulance my child was self diagnosed by a director who stated she checked him and he said his abcs Fine and he stated he was okay! I have been out of work, my child doesn't know his colors right now and has been in and out of doctor offices and the ER! And the same director stated only thing they did wrong was not have an incident report ready for me! And in our meeting brings up my Facebook post talking about the situation and how they failed my son. Beyond unprofessional!!!! The person above her also had to have a DCF report on themselves for neglect and place a staff member on leave!! ( I thought the only thing done wrong was the missing incident report!? ) My child was failed !! And they do not even care I have heard nothing but excuses ! I can not press charges on the little boy because of his age, the little boy also admitted to smacking my son in the head with the rock because my son said he had a girlfriend!! Dorchester YMCA only cares about the money and not these children and now my son is left to suffer and I'm stuck trying to find new locations for all my children !! Aaron, the trainer, is great and really understands how to motivate coach potatoes back into being active. From the first class I felt welcome by Aaron and also the rest of the group (who are comprised of adults of all ages in the same boat as me). Since I started I have noticed major changes in how I look and feel. I am writing this recommendation because I think if anyone reads this and they are in a similar position with trying to figure out how to lose weight or gain muscle mass they should try Dorchester Boot Camp. I am there practically every time there is a class and I am impressed that Aaron has maintained his interest in how each individual performs long after the first class. Now I realize even in my 40's that it is possible to get back to that healthy athletic lifestyle and Dorchester Boot Camp has done wonders for my self-esteem and outlook. You should try it at least once.

The format of the Dorchester Boot Camp program fit the bill perfectly with the varied daily program creating a well rounded workout. Aaron, the instructor, is great. He is warm, welcoming and supportive. He works with each student to ensure they are getting the maximum benefit and are working out correctly. By giving different options on how to complete an exercise, the difficulty can be customized to each member of the group depending on their fitness level without making things too difficult or easy for the class. The location is good and the early morning starts make sure that you are invigorated for the rest of the day. Will be back to keep up this new level of fitness. Cheers
