Trico doesn't ask for an upfront deposit or require you have cash or a money order at pickup, unlike many other companies. You just pay with a credit card online and are only charged after they pick up the car. They also carry their own insurance and not that of the carrier. Other companies use the carrier's insurance and it sounds like that can be problematic if there is an issue and you need to file a claim. Communication was fantastic and they were flexible and accommodating when I had to adjust my schedule at the last minute. I called them on a Sunday, the car got picked up on Tuesday, and was delivered from Pennsylvania to Colorado on Thursday (48 hrs from PA to CO!). The inspection documentation was very thorough and the car arrived in perfect condition. The driver was very patient as I went over every inch of the car after delivery and before signing off. One more thing...they probably won't want me to say this, but I ordered and paid for an open transport, but a covered transport showed up instead, for the open transport price. So that was just another reason to really like these guys (don't expect this to necessarily happen to you - I think I just got lucky). If you need to ship a car skip all of the low-ball scam artists and just go with these guys.
