My dream combination of a brewery and a Mexican taqueria is a reality. Great beer with a really nice staff. The tacos at the place housed in the same room were fantastic. Both are highly recommended. Not a ridiculous amount of seating and in a really weird spot that is a bit confusing to get there, but I really liked this spot. read more

We live in a great time where breweries are popping up left and right. I love beer and I love that small businesses are thriving. Crooked run is one of my favorite new breweries out there and I'm glad they opened up a sterling location just steps from home. With a rotating selection of beers it's hard to get tired and an amazing taco place on site all the time how can you go wrong. I usually stick with darker beers and they have a few which are delicious. I had the Shadow or Truth last night which was a flavorful black IPA. Perfect amount of hops for me. Another favorite is Orion. I would suggest more but they may be gone by the time you read this. Best part is they are starting to can and bottle some of their beers so if you like them enough you can grab some for home. Can't wait to go back read more

OUTSTANDING, CUTTING-EDGE, CRAFT BEER! Bold innovative IPAs, (West coast, and Juicy New England-style), belgians and sours.... excellent stout, and even delicious lagers. These guys got it all. Probably the most attractive tap-room in N. Va, with authentic Mexican tacos & more (Senor Ramon) also in the tap room. Very nice outside beer garden area and they allow smoking (hallelujah!). Live music on weekends. read more

I've been to probably 75-100 breweries and this one is my favorite. The owners are great. The entire staff is friendly. The music is a great tribute to the 90s. They teamed up with Senor Ramon's to hit it out of the park. They have mainly sour, saison and IPA selections, but do offer some darker options. They seem to like to offer various fruity selections best. They even added a nice outdoor space which is dog friendly (--they love dogs). read more

Sin Nombre Mexican Imperial Stout: DELICIOUS! I'm officially a fan! this will become my local watering hole can't wait to try more!

I wish they had more seating...It seems to get packed here on the weekends so it is kind of overwhelming at times to even be able to get a beer. read more

My favorite brewery in the area for sure, all the bartenders are very friendly. Great beer, Cruise Control is my go to, and I love the food

We were not planning on having a beer or doing a tasting since we had an event to attend. We stopped for lunch at Senor Ramon's for lunch. My partner went to check out the beers as I waited for our food. He comes back with Charmed.... wow! Well balanced stout with a great bittersweet chocolate but not over powering taste. Like a great cup of espresso! Yum! read more

Stopped in on the Saturday after Cinco De Mayo, so some of the kegs were kicked, but i see that as a good sign. Still had enough beers to get a few flights. Great tasting beers with some very unique flavors. I have been to their location in Leesburg and the consistency of the beers in both locations is perfect. Overall great beers, there wasn't one I didn't like, which is why we stayed for several hours. Bartender gave us a 10% discount for sitting at the bar for "a while with no service." maybe waited 5-8 min but that is acceptable as it was busy. He even gave us a few beers for free in our flight. A+ service and knowledgable staff. Another reason why we stay for so long was because of Senor Ramon's. The tacos, empanadas and nachos are some of the best i have ever had. The prices are more than fair for the quality of food. There were so many choices of tacos that I will probably have to come back 10 more time to try them all. They look small but they are filling! These aren't your normal tacos either, the pairings of the ingredients and flavor profile of each taco made them very unique and appetizing. I had three tacos and some nachos and even though I was full I wanted to keep eating. Each taco was like opening a christmas present with my tastebuds, I didn't know what I was going to get which made it very exciting. Yes, the amount of beers may have made me overly excited but its worth it. Trust me. Get a beer or several. Then enjoy a taco, or severl. :) read more

I was in Sterling and I thought I would finally try Crooked Run. I was unsure what to order. My go to is Guinness. I was pleasantly surprised with the young gentlemen with the beautiful red hair who helped me pick something he thought I would like. He was right! Great staff. Great beer. read more

Good service! Good beer! Good tacos! Plenty of parking and good indoor and outdoor seating!

What can I say about Crooked Run? Excellent beers that range from subtle to over-the-top for the less experienced beer-drinker, to a Rocky-climbs-the-stairs workout versus a technical knock-out for someone with a more developed palate. They've always got something worth your time. Including the bartenders. Always on point, always primed for your necessity: the Saturday boys especially will keep a twinkle in their eyes while they're pouring your beer. Mike, Wes, and Zack create a triforce of serving prowess, unmatched by any other team of bartenders. Wes is a wonderful, cheerful guy just waiting to be your friend. Forever at the top of his game, he's always happy to serve you a drink. He's kind, considerate, and interested in you as a customer. Endlessly smiling, always a pleasure to see. He loves his job, and it shows. He's passionate about brewing, and about bartending. Ask him how many Redbulls he's had today. He's always happy to see you, and always hopes to see you again when you go. You can't go wrong with Wes. Mike does the fantastic art for the draft boards at Crooked Run Central. Bearded and beautiful, he works part-time, but in no way has less passion for the job than his coworkers at the brewery. He'll go out of his way to work for the sake of his fellow bartenders just to give them a chance for a break. He's an inspiration, a talent, and a wonder. Always on his toes and doing his best to make sure he and his coworkers can pour for their customers, Mike is a loving, artistic pillar in a room full of delighted customers. Zack is the bar manager at Crooked Run. Friendly, fun, sweet and goofy, Zack is like the best friend from high school everyone remembers: so much happier to see you than you would believe while he's also moderating the best local microbrewery in Loudoun County. You'll catch him especially on Saturdays pouring beers, but at other times during the week creeping out of the Cold Room, working with true artisans crafting the amazing beers they serve here. He's busy, but never too busy to say hello to you, and never too busy to be excited about the brewery. Crooked Run is the best place to go any time of the week, and any time of the year. And if you're there for the food? Senor Ramon's always delivers. read more

I like the atmosphere of this place and the staff are very friendly. Unfortunately, the beer isn't great. I'm actually pretty disappointed because I feel they did a great job with smaller production (at their place in Leesburg). They recently did a collaboration with Brothers Brewing, a cherry beer, and it was very unexciting. The flavor of cherries was practically absent. I keep coming back here because I live nearby and like the scene, but I hope the beer changes soon or I'll probably head to other places. I will say I recently had a sour beer here that caught my attention....maybe a sign they are heading in the right direction. read more

Excellently mastered beer with a great selection. Super fun, chill vibe. Pairs well with the tacos from Senor Ramon.

Super goood. Ordered a flight of beers to try and liked every one to an extent! Specifically liked the cruise control, spilt salt( tart/kind of salty, clean clean aftertaste) and dolce vita (dark, creamy, borderline liquor taste, sweet). Señor Ramóns tacos and nachos are amazing!!! Such cool combos and AMAZING sauces. The salsa verde to grab at the condiments table is so good. So creamy and flavorful. The medium sauce is also great. Wish the nachos had melted cheese, but still likes them when I put sauce on them. Love this place and will be back to check out their next set of brews!' read more

Exellent beer, excellent staff and excellent food. Much bigger than the Leesburg space.

Hits all the spots. Beer is great tried four while I was there without a bad one. Took a supernatural bottle home for my wife and she loved it! Taco stand inside is probably the highlight. Hands down favorite taco I've had read more

Good beer, and separately a selection of Senor Ramon soft tacos. Great combo! You'd need a GPS navigator as you'd never find this in the rear of an office park. Plenty free parking. read more

Great staff and good variety of beers. We had the privilege to take the impromptu tour that's offered on Saturday. Their noirega is amazing - must try. read more

I went for their anniversary party and it was horribly advertised. They sold beer packages that didn't include an entrance ticket, so we had to pay to get into an event that we had already payed $55 for. Why would I spend money on an event that I didn't want to go to? Come on Crooked Run. The beer was decent, but their social media and advertising needs work. I don't blame the employees at all, but the managers really messed up the event. They need to be clear and concise when hosting an event. read more

Helpful and friendly staff, decent amount of outdoor seating, and refreshing beers! The Hibiscus Saison is my go to here, because it packs the punch with 10% alcohol content, and a sweet crisp taste. It is easy to drink ..... almost too easy ;) read more

So gooooood. Great beers. 3 people pump out all of this beer. Definitely worth giving it a shot!

The beer was good and the bar service was excellent and friendly. The place has a cool vibe to it and the outdoor seating was a plus on a good weather night. Although the tacos were great at Senor Ramons, the cashier and workers were unnecessarily rude. After waiting about a couple of minutes for the cashier to come and take our order, he finally came to the register and didn't say a word. Instead he just stared off into space. When we finally, "ahem'ed" him, he seemed generally disinterested and asked, "Are you ready?" We ordered tacos for the family, including a tongue taco for me. When the tacos all came out on different plates, we asked the person who served them and the cashier if they could tell us which tacos were which, knowing that the kids would not be pleased if they got the tongue taco. General disinterest turned into rudeness. So much so that my wife said that she wanted to come back, just not go back to Senor Ramon's. read more

I found this place on a bingo night for HART. I have already been back and it's not even been a week. The outdoor area is great even though it's in the middle of a business park. Inside it's a bit dark but with plenty of seating. I like the Hefeweizen and my husband liked the Wrath of Pecans which is a darker beer. Like all trendy microbreweries, they have a wide selection of IPAs. I'm not a fan so I wish they had more non-IPAs. Still, with the fun events and delicious on site food options at Senor Ramones, we will be frequent visitors. read more

My daughter and I and friends go every Wednesday for bingo night! So fun, for a great cause! Wes and Zach are so fun, nice and great! Always greet us and make us feel at home! Always support local and donate to charity. Thanks for making things fun for my daughter and friends! read more

Second time I've been to this location, I like it a lot better than the tiny one in Leesburg! There's plenty of seating, the servers are friendly and will always give you just a taste if you're not sure which beer to get. And you should get them all, the beers are delicious, especially any of their "spicy" ones, the most recent one is Lemon Serrano Storm and that's very good, took a growler of it home with me! I only wish I could remember to not eat before so I can try out the taqueria. read more

Crooked Run is the best brewery in Northern Virginia! Normally I'm not a big beer drinker, but I've yet to try something there that I haven't liked. I was sold the first time I had the apricot Heart & Soul IPA. I love how unique the styles and flavors are, and I think there's really something for everyone. Everyone at the brewery is incredibly friendly and welcoming too. Not to mention the best tacos from Señor Ramon's! I'd give this place 6 stars if I could. read more

Went there on a friday night and it was amazing! The staff were friendly and personable. The beer selection was on point that night as well. I've recommended to many of my friends. read more

First time going to this brewery, and we really enjoyed it!! Good beer, cool atmosphere and really good tacos! Nice outdoor seating area as well. While they weren't fired up when I was there, it looked they had 2 small fire pits. We will definitely go here again! read more

Just a bit blah. Maybe I didn't enjoy it because most of the beers they had the day I was there were IPA. IPAs are rookie brews since you can hide bad beer with tons of hops. I had a sasion that tasted a bit metallic. read more

The beer is pretty good, but it is hard to get past the amount of young families bringing their little kids with them while they are drinking well past the legal driving limit. Lame read more

Found this local brewery while attending a conference in Sterling VA. Very good selection of beer and great combo of outstanding Mexican food from the collocated Senor Ramon Mexican. Highly recommend if you like craft beer and food truck style Mexican food. read more

Good beer, good space, with the added bonus of a delicious taco spot in the same room. A great place to hang out with friends. My only complaint would be that the space is so small that the occasional live band is so loud that it overpowers everything else when all i want is to drink beer, eat tacos, and talk with friends read more

Love the new location! Same great beer, amazing tacos, and a toy box that kept my daughter entertained. Definitely a new favorite spot!

Beers were not bad, a few really good ones. Went here in early June I think it was and there weren't any sours?? Bought a 4 pack and got home to MD and noticed the can (lid?) wasn't all the way on three of the beers, and hence weren't drinkable because they were already flat so that was a bummer. But the best part is that taco joint in the same space as the taproom! Best idea ever read more

I really like this brewery and staff. Some of their beers are a little too acidic for my taste, but I have tried several of them and have definitely found my favorites! The staff is amazing, they are friendly and down to earth. One of my favorite breweries in the area and my boyfriend and I have tried quite a few. I will continue to come back to this one. read more

We have driven by so many times saying "we need to try this place out." Today, we finally stopped in. Due to a thunderstorm with a lightning hit at a substation, our home was going to be without power until 1:00 am. It was 7:00 and dinner could not be made - so into the car we went. Boy - were we glad. Crooked Run was hoping with so many enjoying beers, tacos from Senor Ramon, chicken from Daybreak, and cocktails from Nectar. We were pleased to see a west coast concept in NOVA - it was mind blowing. Nothing disappointed. We enjoyed 2 Best Days beers each along with consuming 6 tacos. We tried the Chorizo and a Steak taco. Delicious! If you have not yet gone - go. If you are like us and just have not stopped yet - find a good time to go. It is refreshing to have a new concept that is not a chain and it is nice to support local businesses for a change. Which concept provides good food and refreshments along with entertainment on weekends. read more

The beer here was outstanding. I came on Sunday October 7th as part of a hop around to different breweries. This was our second stop. Now while the beer was fantastic ( I had the Crepe Weirdo, You and I, and Never You) most of the staff was not. As we first arrived I was looking over the menu as I had never been here before, and only had a few of their flagships in the past. When my wife and myself had picked something out I looked up and one of the five bartenders was just condescendingly sitting with his head in his hands staring at me waiting to decide. And I maybe had the menu for 45 seconds it's not like I was taking all day. No "Hey welcome guys, what are we looking for today" just staring void of emotion waiting for my decision. Once our beers were poured the entire staff just stood in a circle and debated about who would leave first and fortnite dances for the entirety of my stay. I would definitely go back because the beer was insanely good and outweighed the odd service experience. Taco stand attached pretty tasty. Nothing life changing there. read more

Speedy service and tasty beer--and I'm not even a beer drinker! This is a great place to hang out and enjoy a drink.
